Tai Lung is a Snow Leopard.. there is only 1 tiger in this entire franchise. If there were more it would make Tigress unrecognisable (except from her martial art skills). CinemaSins earns a sin for not knowing the difference between a tiger and a freakin LEOPARD

A Snow Leopard is a subspecies of Leopard so just because I didn't include the word 'snow' in at the end, that does not mean that calling Tai Lung a leopard (after already establishing what subspecies of leopard he is) is wrong. It's like defining a siberian tiger/bengal tiger/sumatran tiger, a tiger. They're all subspecies of the same family of big cat. :)
@@Terrezio Two more sins for Harry Pike. The word "snow" comes at the beginning, not the end, of the word "leopard" in "snow leopard," and snow leopards are genetically unrelated to leopards.
The reason it shows Oogway just blowing out the candles instead of doing a wind thing like Shifu did, is because it shows the difference in the two masters. Oogway is patient and has inner peace, while Shifu is impatient, because he has yet to master inner peace.
And the reason why Tai Lung let the five live, is so that he could strike as much fear as he can, before arriving. Basically mind games, showing that five of their best is not enough to beat him. While Po, despite him being one panda, he has learned to use the opponent's strengths against him... that and having too much fat to be affected by the nerve attacks.

6:01 I love the subtlety here. It's just a regular peach tree, but since Oogway calls it "The Sacred Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom", it's suddenly important. This follows the central theme that you only need to *believe* that something is special.

4:17 Viper's little tongue flick is kinda cute to me here. She's the member of the Furious Five who shows the most concern for Po, as she's the gentlest one. Snakes often use their tongues to smell the air, and they can sense things like pheromones that indicate how whoever they can smell is feeling. Viper is trying to see and smell if Po is ok, since his pheromones would indicate if he was afraid or internally damaged, or if she could smell any blood, she'd know he was exteriorly wounded.

Azkaban had a WAY higher number of prisoners compared to guards. And Sirius, not to undersell him AT ALL, but I never figured he was one of the best at magic. Yes, he was able to transfigurate, but that was due to help from 2 other people. As well, he had the pure will of murder fueling him during his escape.

So tai lung escaped because the messengers feather? So technically if the turtle never told Shi fu that tai lung will return then tai lung would have never returned because if the turtle never told Shi fu then Shi fu would have never sent the messenger therefore nothing would have happened so it's called the turtles fault

2:43 of course Master Oogway can blow out the candles in 2 seconds, because Shifu can. The difference between Oogway taking time and being in the moment and Shifu angrily attempting to control all he can is a massive recurring theme.
He also calls Oogway magic when there's no magic shown. It is even explained to us that Oogway used a nerve attack.
Later he even acknowledges the nerve attack but doesn't call it magic.

Actually shi fu adopting Tai Lung is destiny because it led to the discovery of the Dragon Warrior and thus was tied in to po's destiny.

The Kung Fu Panda trilogy is one of the strongest trilogies ever. And Tai Lung and Shen are some of the strongest written antagonists not only in Dreamworks history, but cinema history all together.
Shen is one of my favorite villains of all time. Tai Lung is good too but I think Shen has better scenes, especially comedic ones
I know this is old, but in one of the first few scenes, the duck is holding a leek. Which in China and Japan is seen as far fetched, and is like some sort of symbol of luck. This is also where the Pokémon came from.

There was an actual point to 23, Oogway was testing Shifu's patience. If he had waited long enough, Oogway would have told him nothing was wrong and then Shifu wouldn't have taken preventative measures for Tai Lung's foretold prison break, which ultimately set him free. So not really a sin, if you understand the backstory and motivations of the characters.

The biggest sin I can find for this movie is that after 20 years in prison being completely immobilized, that Tai Lung’s muscled hadn’t atrophied to the size of chopsticks and he was still able to be a badass right out the gate 😂

You missed a sin, when the rhinos accidentally shoot the shackel on Tai Long's arm and his arm is freed, he should have been dragged off of the pillar by the giant boulder chained to his OTHER arm, since the two boulders were the only thing keeping him down and balanced
Also, you pointed out that it took the 5 a long time to get to the prison, but when they made a tv series of this, the characters visit the prison multiple times under different circumstances and it takes well under a day to get there
Well, that sin doesn't really count, since CinemaSins focuses solely on the movie and ignores source material and spin-offs, so they wouldn't have taken the TV show into account. Your first sin is pretty on-point though, so... ding!

This video unintentionally made me more impressed with this movie, because when it slows down so that Jeremy has time to explain each sin, I'm noticing how Po's whole body wobbles with each movement to emphasize how obese he is. That's the kind of attention to detail I'd call unnecesseraly awesome in ANY movie

3:38 Both actually. They got dropped out of a helicopter that doesn't have wings, but jumps 400 feet in the air. Its a scene to pad the run time of the candle lighting and ninja star sticking movie.
I know CinemaSins nitpicks a lot to begin with, but I found they nitpicked a lot more for this one than usual. I guess that's what they have to do in order to have a decent number of sins for an awesome movie.

I loved this movie, but I still found this video spot on and hilarious. They've already established that most of their sins mean nothing (just watch Everything Wrong With CinemaSins to get an idea)
Sometimes it's fun to look at the ridiculous side of things you like. We know it's ridiculous, that's why we love it. And the people that don't like the movie are entertained too. Win/win!

the energy thing is actually not magic but real because there IS a technique (respectively, a whole martial art) called "dim mak" that relies on hitting nerve points in a way that the opponent is either hurt, paralysed (if only for a short term) or killed. (it's also the technique ty lee from ATLA (avatar: the last airbender) uses.) so, that would work. and since it requires a LOT of knowledge about the system of the body and how it is built and THEN learning how to exactly hit the spots (which I'm sure takes a long time of training and exercise) it is also logic that only masters (which Tai Lung is, seeing how he was trained and that he had a natural gift) are able to use this in a fight.

So why does Po's father believe that there is a thing called a noodle dream when he himself had a tofu dream and not a noodle dream. If Po's father believed that dreams were tied to profession, then he would be making tofu.

It wasn't until the third movie that I realized Oogway actually had a strategy when he kept pointing at Po.. He noticed Po was trying to dodge being pointed at by his finger, and was doing well at it, and then he started testing his reflexes and was impressed.. Makes a lot more sense now..

3:38 I'm willing to bet that Crane just flew them up high, since he does carry all of them back to the Jade Palace later in the movie. Plus, carries Po with only slight difficulty in the sequel, so carrying the rest of the Furious Five doesn't seem like it would be too hard in comparison.
Edit: However, I did a bit of research and if the characters were the average weight of the animal they're based on, Tigress alone is 4 times heavier than Po.
