That old fellow was like my dad,he worked as a carman on the railroad and was always bringing in used materials from the job,in 1973 he built a garage constructed mostly from wood that he brought home, even down to the paint that had been thrown out,he only had around $500 in purchased building materials in it.

Awesome find. Seeing that torch brought Me some of My childhood memories when Plumbers used them for the Water Pipes & melting the lead for the cast iron sewer pipes. At least too, that engine was well protected form junk getting into it. How cool!!

Looks like a drip torch for forest fire service! That's how they would create a burn line. Awsome!!

Love how when you first opened the truck door, you dog looked like she was caught with her paw in the cookie jar.
Man must be tough looking at that view all the time. I was raised in eastern Colorado, with that type of view. Now I'm in Phoenix Arizona; flat Phoenix Arizona. Two season Arizona! Thanks for the video.

I just subscribed because Casey said you need a few more to hit that next level. Also my dad had a 59 IH pickumup column shift when I was about 16, and he broke his leg when we were delivering then removing a customers old fridge and he slipped on the wet porch and the cross bar on the top of the furniture dolly got his shin. It didn't stop Dad though, he figured out how to make it a hand clutch so he could keep working not long after.

I have a 75 international 3/4 ton 4wd looking for parts. Set in a warehouse from 75 to 91 until my dad bought it and drove it from Florida to Kansas. Story was there was a bunch of them going to another country for forest service.

The lanterns should be white gas, the torch was used with soldering irons.

Be careful. Them Colman lanterns multiply over night. And watch out for them stoves they'll get ya too. But just wait till you find a Coleman international harvester water jug then your hooked.

I believe that torch burns white gas, I think Coleman fuel may be the same thing.

I just rebuilt my 392 and I’ve noticed there is ZERO preload on the pushrods. Do I just need to resort to custom length rods?

a friend of mine had a International truck with a bad motor so he put a Chevy 350 in its place , that international motor was super heavy so He ended up replacing the springs too because it was too stiff. He ended up swapping out the radiator as well because it was too big for the Chevy motor. it just never got warm enough to run proper.

I have no doubt that old Homelite can be made to run. The question is SHOULD it be run? I’m not known for being a safety first kinda guy, but those old chainsaws worry me.

    COOL SCORE, Ben!!!
Always enjoy hearing of something someone loved being re-purposed and not left to the ravages of time.
Hope to see a follow up of the engine being fired up, the saw running and the fan going to work in your shop!
    Safe travels friend ❤️

392 international Harvester ENGINE, not motor a motor refers to an electric motor, not an internal combustion ENGINE.
