Great job, a lot of people don’t understand how much space turtles that size need. I have a 3” painted turtle and two baby terrapins and I can’t wait to move into my new place so I can do a pond in my basement.
WOW! Mildred Manor is fabulous. I'm going to show this to my niece. She has a box turtle which is still young. I am sure she will get fantastic ideas from this. Thank you.
@@studiodeepdive6165 You can see her turtle in one of my videos. His name is Oliver when it should be Olivia. Thank you once more. I will be subscribing to your awesome channel for support. All the best.
Good job man well done, you should definitely make more content like this I think you could blow up. This video was edited amazingly great quality. I'm a fish and turtle nerd so I really appreciate what you've done for this lucky turtle. Liked and Subscribed.
While I really enjoyed this video and you did an amazing job for me I would want to be able to see my turtles swimming around . The way this set up is the only way you can see them is by standing over the enclosure . But everyone is different and again you should be proud of the hard work you put in for that sweet girl you rescued
This video demonstrates the perfect balance of impressive showcasing and proper care. With most enclosures, finding these two features simultaneously is very rare. Good job
Very nice I will be copying this very soon. I’m in the process of upgrading my 100 gallon tank. I was thinking glass aquariums but this is way better with a lot more walking room while keeping a large swimming pool. How often do you have to clean the dry substrate. Also what size and where did you get the black tub.
Oh, this is fantastic! My kiddo's boyfriend gifted a turtle that my kiddo then left with us. It was already on the large side for its 40 gallon aquarium and tiny cage that sits above it for the basking area. It has grown. It's now way too big for the environment. I have very little knowledge about turtles, but I know this one desperately needs and upgrade. Your habitat looks perfect! Where did you get the 100 gallon pond and the ramp inside it for the turtle to use to get out of the pond? What filter do you use (I'm totally lost on filters but the one we have is definitely not enough and is very difficult to clean)? I need coaching! :)
May I ask what products you used for water proofing?? My friend gave me two turtles in a 20g tub. They're 8 years old. Got a new stock tank but wasn't sure what to seal wood with.
No sir, I do not have one. I do a 20% water change a week and clean the filter media every 2-3 weeks depending on my availability. Mildred drags a lot of dirt and debris into the water 🙄
@@studiodeepdive6165 I have a bare bottom 60 Gillian tank. I use have RO water half city. I have a 320gph pump drawing through carbon and sponge filter. I still have to completely change and clean tank weekly to 2 weeks if I push it. I can change filter and still cloudy and yuk after first feeding.
@@studiodeepdive6165 yellow belly slider about 6 months old 4 inches long. I am building a side nest area whenever I get a better feel on how to treat tank without complete water changes bc this makes it impossible to maintain
@@brianwatson8351 I use the Penn-Plax Cascade 1500 canister filter and it’s great. Also use a couple power heads to make sure all the water gets pushed through the filter
I really really want to do this, but the build and set up is so intensive, and just having the stock tank never looks good. The Glass style aquarium is not as beneficial overall but at lot less intensive
Hard to say because I had about half the wood already. Despite using plywood and pine, I wasn’t aiming for a budget build. The water proofing isn’t cheap and I did multiple layers. I’d guess around $500 from scratch without lighting or the filter
Thank you so much! I’d recommend making it shorter. I’ve thought of building a fold out step all the way around because short people can’t see the fish
I’m honestly not sure, maybe $500-700 including the tub and everything but I didn’t price it out. Nowadays it would be a lot more because lumber is so crazy expensive!

You’ve got me crying.❤
Love what you did for that turtle. Hope he loves for a very long time.
One of the best builds I’ve ever seen very underrated video!!
You brought that turtle out of the trenches and into a mansion. Kudos to you man, and it looks fantastic 👏
Thank you!!

I literally have been looking for a video like this for over a year now and I just found this. Something I would want to do one day for sure
I’m really glad you found it! Feel free to share it with anyone who may like it. Thank you!
This was above and beyond amazing. Makes me wish I had a house big enough.
Thank you so much! You can definitely scale it down. Also doesn’t need to be so tall. Just worked for what I had

I’m actually jealous of that turtle now. I could live in there
Awesome video ✨thank you so much for sharing
What rubber cement product did you use?
This is awesome. Great cinematography and scape
That is fabulous. Lucky turt!
Thank you so much!
Amazing habitat!! Great work!!
Thank you so very much! I’m about to release a video on my custom reef tank stand. Hope you check it out!
Nice work no doubt the turtle is living a great life
Thank you!!
Love the end result

That's creativity. Great job man Would really love to see more videos of this how the turtle is doing in his new enivronment
Honestly totally epic!
Wonderful 🙏🏻👍🏻
I am having to modify my Thrive topper to accommodate my huge female RES. Tell me how you did your ramp.
I recommend drylock instead of that white epoxy stuff.
Sweet! I’ll check it out
Love it

這隻巴西龜真幸福
What plants are those can u tell me where you got them??
Hey bro just wondering where did you get the tub from?
Is there a clean and maintenance of your tank video? Building is not intimidating but maintaining is

Sick!!!
This is what im looking, unlike the others that their basking area is just a stone
Maybe sealant for the glass not wood.
While that would look better, I wanted to be able to remove individual panels easily
Dope
Epic, I need one of these human sized for me.
You could probably save money and get a tween sized one. You’d fit
I really really want to do this, but the build and set up is so intensive, and just having the stock tank never looks good. The Glass style aquarium is not as beneficial overall but at lot less intensive
what did this build come out too
Do you mean price?
Do you build these for people??? 😭 I need one and I cannot build for beans lol
How much in total was it to build this?
Hard to say because I had about half the wood already. Despite using plywood and pine, I wasn’t aiming for a budget build. The water proofing isn’t cheap and I did multiple layers. I’d guess around $500 from scratch without lighting or the filter
I want to do this for my turtle but I guess I should spend 5k for a tank online I don't think I'd know what to do sigh
It doesn’t have to be as complicated as mine. Just get a big Rubbermaid trough and build a box around it
Can you make me one? £500 cash!
Haha, I think the wood alone would cost that much these days 😂
@@studiodeepdive6165 Haha probably. Love the tank, great job!
Looks very cool but I would've liked to see the entire build, everything up top too.
this deserves way more views! thank you, will reference this when I build a enclosure for my RES several months from now
