Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy as well
Jedi Outcast was better, IMO.
Outcast and Academy were both great, they both had their moments! It seems odd that only the original Dark Forces and DF 2, Jedi Knight were mentioned, and no love for the two games that came out after, both of which I enjoyed more than DF 2: Jedi Knight.
@@jonknight4616 I thought it was mentioned briefly in the DF 2: Jedi Knight section about amazing light saber combat("Technically the follow-ups are better" then he described the Outcast/Jedi Academy cheat codes for dismemberment). Though I think it was more time spent with DF 2: Jedi Knight, which is the same case for me(I personally like DF 2:Jedi Knight but I'm biased, Outcast was probably the best if you have no ties to Jedi Knight)
I love academy, especially the glitches or cooked graphics but it's a classic from my childhood. Outcast is great too
@Live Action Sonic how so? There is gun combat. Pretty much exactly the same as in outcast. You just have lightsaber from the beginning, unlike outcast, so majority use it, as it is more fun. I mean you can shoot anywhere, but not much games can make you feel like a freaking jedi, slashing limbs and shoot lightning from hands. But still, you can use guns, I can even say that this is quite entertaining to shoot from a rocket launcher to a sith far away he will deflect it with a force push, and you can deflect it back, and this rocket ping-pong can last for couple of minutes until one of you fuck this up and blow up

Star Wars: Empire at War, another RTS game, much more refined, and the mod that put it in the Clone Wars era were fantastic
That game has some of the best mods
It even has steam workshop support, makes installing mods even easier.

Would you recommend galactic battlegrounds or empire at war? Haven't played either, but I don't think I want to play both if empire at war is battlegrounds with more content.
Kiefer Catron galactic battlegrounds is extremely dated. Tbh I played one game, and straight up had no idea what I was looking at unless the unit was a vehicle or a clone. Everything else is so pixely and hard to look at.
Empire at War is straight up just a better, more modern game.

Its not really a crap game but i agree that it was kinda dumb mistake on their part.
+Alex. Old Republic if you play the expansion story, which you can for free as well. Nether is the game overly hard etc. Its nothing like it was when it was pay to play only. Now its kinda more like a single player story. You should check it out if you liked the older KOTOR games because the expansion makes it look more like them now (or at least a year or so ago when I re tried the MMO).

With the movie battles ii mod it's by far still the best lightsaber combat in any Star Wars game by a long way.
Play Knights of the Old Republic. Not the MMORPG. Just the RPG.
And KotoR 2 with the restored content mod if you have some more hours to spare

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast was amazing. Especially since you could throw the lightsaber and keep it out and control it like a telepathic frizby.

Bounty Hunter was great! They should do it for Caravan of Garbage to go with the Mandalorian release.
I recently started replaying it - i still have the Gamecube disk but its a PS4 download now too. I'm loving it. I dont remember it looking this bad but its still fun! (graphics have aged more than i remembered lol)
I ended up buying the dark horse comics they let you unlock in the game, entirely because of this game. on ebay the comics are decently priced fyi

Empire at War is one of my favourite RTS games I've played.
The space battles on that were really top notch. Especially liked how you could target shield generators, engines etc.
Land battles were kinda wonky though. Plus, wow the design flaw of ATATs is pretty apparent when you've to turn those guys around and they gotta do that awkward shuffle.
Try mods. Thrawn's revenge and Republic at War basicly give you EaW 2.0 in gameplay.

The original Star Wars Battlefront II was my all time favourite game, so much fun! I especially loved the Mos Eisley Assault game where you could have heroes vs villains!

I played Battlefront I (2004) with a friend multiple times per week for my whole childhood. We had an incredible amount of fun with that game. Thanks for the memories.

I remember playing the hell out of Star Was Rebellion on PC where you move fleets around and gain star system's loyalty. Fun stuff.
Those Rogue Squadron games were damn fun! The Lego ones were pretty damn entertaining as well.
You guys totally forgot the Rogue Squadron games. How EA hasn't made a spiritual successor to those I've got no idea.

Star War: Empire at War was awesome, especially with all the mods available.
I have hundreds of hours on that game. The mods definitely add to the experience
So many mods, and people are still working on them. One of my top 5 RTS games period.
You forgot the very best one: Shadows of the Empire. One of the best games of my childhood. Right up there with Halo, Goldeneye, Mario Kart, and Worms.

Surprised you guys didn't mention X Wing Alliance. Whilst it was an upgrade to XWingvTie, the Death Star II final mission was probably one of the best ones made from the original trilogy.

Rebellion (or Supremacy in some places) was hugely underrated. It was great to have a game where you control the fate of the whole galaxy and have to use patience and strategy.

I'd love to see a proper capital ship simulator where you start off as a low ranking officer, manning the guns, making on-the-fly repairs, crawling around the air ducts clearing out space critters. And eventually getting a command of your own ship and getting bigger and better starships!

I'm one of those who thinks The Force Unleashed is extremely overated. Otherwise, cool list
Honestly, I would replace OG Battlefront 2 with EA Battlefront 2. I know there was the initial controversy but looking at the current state of the games EA BF2 is just an objectively better game in basically every way over OG BF2. Better map design, more and better mechanics, better graphics (relative to the times they were each released in), better sound design, better music, better weapon variety, better hero/villain designs. Like on a core level EA BF2 does almost everything better than OF BF2 did.

@@Jedi_Spartan You're free to have your opinions on what games you like. All I'm saying is in basically every as aspect EA BF2 is better than the OG BF2. When you compare the two there really is not a lot that OG BF2 does better. It has like full boarding space battles, and that's about it. I guess you could say it has more maps but the maps are terribly designed so that isn't saying much.
Star Wars Empire at War FOC is one of my favorites and is still pretty big following especially with all the mods for it (in the steam workshop) and also the Rogue Squadron games were some of my favorites. And an honorable mention is Star Wars Clone wars for the Gamecube that was super fun to play with friends as well
My childhood star wars game Battlefront I and Battlefront II, those were my fav until I played lego star wars. But they still hold a special place in my heart

Just played thru like 70% of episode 1 racer on emulator the other day! Played mostly with the sound off watching TH-cam, did well, then turned on the sound and did horribly because my guy was screaming every time I bumped into something. Very fun game though!

X-Wing Alliance had a beautiful narrative with some great moments, felt big at the time - I was expecting to see this along with Kotor
Knights of the old republic 1 and 2 are single player RPGs. Star Wars: The old republic is the MMO.
I remember we had a Chuck E Cheese where they had an arcade version of the pod racing game. The seat was made to look like Anakin’s pod and you had two accelerators to control each engine individually like in the movie

My first game I ever owned was Star Wars: Rouge Squadron

Dark Forces 2 was incredible! I love the sound design it's so ingrained in me from growing up playing it, and live-action cut scenes? What more do you want?!

You guys nailed it. I loved playing SW Trilogy Arcade with the joystick. The Kyle Katarn with Dark Forces was the best back in the day. Also, the original Battlefront games were the best online multiplayer games at the time.
Another great one to add to this list is Shadows of The Empire for N64 which was amazing too.
I really loved Star Wars: Demolition. It was exactly Vigilante 8, but better because it was Star Wars. You could be an At-St, a Podracer, the Rancor, Darth Maul on his bike, friggen Boba Fett. It was a lot of fun.
I really like the Rebel Assault games even though they were rail games. They were fun and the 2nd one had the exact same FMV cast as this Top Gun game I played.
Top Gun: Fire At Will? That, as well as Rebel Assault and Rebel Assault II, was an awesome game!

That was my first Star Wars game ever. And because of the live action bits, I always considered like the "unofficiall" Episode VII when I was young
I still remember getting Stars Wars bounty hunter with Jango Fett from my local blockbuster. That game was solid for the time, loved the jetpack!
Jedi Knight Outcast taught me something when I was really young. You're never too old to make a change in your life for the better. Also never say yes if anyone asks that you're a Jedi. just say you're someone with a lightsaber and a lot of questions
