Usually TvT's are known for being really slow and only having 1-2 big game deciding fights, but this series... this series was something else.

They need to make SC3 with Maru as the adjutant for Terran.
As it turns out, BCs are good units. And they didn't even have yamato going for them this game.
Maru plays like an AI machine. When behind, he seems to simply have the instinct to handle it smoothly without any hesitation, which makes a very depressing thing for his opponent- You can be ahead for a while, but you just can't beat me with that cuz there is always a comeback.
TvT really highlights how methodical Maru really is. But he is the same in every matchup.

Maru plays this game like the Borg. Seeing everything at once, reacting to everything at once, relentless and precise, adapting almost instantaneously to new conditions on the field.
The way he can just slip a squad of marines into his opponent's forward base and start breaking stuff, to distract his opponent just long enough to win a fight on the other side of the map, that, on paper, he loses every time... really high quality play.

If Maru pops out 5 or more BCs or 10plus ghosts, you know your done.
How the fun Maru win that first game? I can't proceed it at all. He lost the fight, turn to enemy bases, and won. Wow.

Ah yes, battlecruisers, the final weapon in the Terran arsenal. Completely useless if the opponent has mass Vikings, Thors, or missile turrets, all very popular units, but otherwise devastatingly powerful.
Still, Maru was the Terran King in this universe, so far..

Pffft....I play like Maru all the time... I'm undefeated as long as someone doesn't wake me up.... With Terran, I've even made overlords, that's how good I am...I beat him but he plays it off by saying he "was asleep"

the commentator couldn't be further from the truth at 7:10 because the sole reason artosis is even where he is right now is because of his crazy comebacks thats what makes the game interesting not the boring im certain to win if i do this here at this point plays

The commentator saying you really want to win in a cleaner fashion is just dumb.. who the f cares how you win as long as you get that W
I mean I get what you're saying, but he was right. Maru was not sharp in that tournament he struggled against Armani and Ryung in the first group, and got hammered in the second group stage, one of his worst GSL exits ever. Ryung proved to be in better form than anyone expected but Armani shouldn't have given Maru so much trouble, sometimes you really need that confidence boost of smacking down the lesser competition.
He was saying that winning with a knife's edge counterattack on a tight defense off an aggressive contain is exciting and well played, but not how you want to be trying to win tournament games. In context of talking about Maru switching to a less aggressive build, it makes sense. Maru was playing a little safer, maybe because the last game was so close, and Tasteless was commenting on that.
When u r known as the best terran in the world, and a game is as close as that, it can get to ur head which is shown in the following game how he built safer
