Heromarine and sOs played eachother twice in the group (two Best-of-3s in the starter and decider match) - I watched all the games and highlighted the 3 best/cheesy ones. This is why the score is not corresponding correctly.

much like proxy nexus its meant to throw off Terran builds, mess the placement of the terran wall to allow Adepts to shade in and steal mining time to get slightly ahead. Its not meant to win the game and yeah its a terrible build.
If I didn't know better I'd swear I was watching some oldschool "When Cheese Fails" on LAGTV. That's what it LOOKED LIKE anyway lol.
I loved that series so much. Jeff and Adam arguably had better chemistry than Artosis and Tasteless. Still watch their stuff, the Technical Alpha Podcast is quite good!

While I'll never be as good as a pro, I don't understand sOs's thought process. He didn't cancel the proxy gates that were nearly dead from scv attacks and tried to build stuff out of it wasting more resources. Also, he threw that 2nd game so hard. It looked he just gave up and didn't care anymore.
SOS just casually giving his opponent an ongoing heart attack from the comfort of his gamer chair. #JustProtossThings
sOs wasn't playing to win for himself, he is playing for the protoss race. He successfully cultivated another seed of mental stress so that other protoss may beat heromarine.

Watching sOs throw away that Void Ray rush was just painful. Like bruh, yer gonna win, just be patient and keep squeezing.

i have very little idea of what is going on, but for some reason I've been watching a lot of starcraft games.
Unfortunate the video cut out the part where HeroMarine actually breaks out, that would've been pretty educational
Why the first game was not count ?
They played each other twice in the group.
So basically Heromarine and sOs played eachother twice in the group (result: 4-0) - I highlighted the 3 best games from the games they played
Alternate title: Don't try to cheese Heromarine.
How did sos lose that second game
Sometimes protoss get an advantage and go full zerg (very eco heavy) but it is risky. He had much more eco, but "weak" army or more like few military units.

Sos use these games as practice , he wanted to test proxy and cheese. Don't think he was even taking hero marine serious.

Well, he is retired as of today, so I guess this was the last of his crazy build that we are going to ever see.

Its just americans want to put their people ahead for a decade, but without success.

if you look at the text above the mini map, the first game says groups stage while the second and third game says decider match
perhaps the second group stage match is not as fun as these ones, therefore SC2HL didn't include that
damn bro, proxy 3 gate inside opponent base and is pretty much still ahead in eco.
Toss
Not really, at 3:03 Protoss is only 2 workers ahead, which is considered little as protoss can chronoboost and should usually have at least over 5 workers more at that point. The SCV pull did cost him alot of mining time, but the proxy barracks, pylons and zealots cost even more. Although not by much, Terran with mules was definitely ahead in eco when the proxy is over, not to mention Protoss's tech was behind. sOs only managed to stayed in the game for that long because Heromarine got impatient and tried to counter attack attack which sOs defended perfectly. But after Heromarine build a much bigger army than his opponent, sOs simply couldn't hold and still lost.
Crazy behind in tech though, Terran is getting Starport while Toss is still on gateway tech. Also their worker count is even, and if P is even with T in workers they are behind economically. Sos is 100% behind from that position.

Sos just played cheap quick and greedily. Sorry but you can't expect to win in 5 mins on each map, definitely a recipe for disaster!
Why dont Pro terran players just lift up and move their entire base if they're getting cannon rushed ?

not enough surface area, could only have 1-2 scv's hit it.

Imagine a terran dropping 3 barracks and 2 depos in the opponent's base, losing all the buildings straight away along with some produced units, and not insta "GG'ing" + quitting the match, but staying in the game for God knows how long.
This shit is fucking broken, you have to be blind to not see it.

Yeah that first game was just a really stupid opening that Heromarine just dealt with and ended the game with a counterattack and pressure. The void ray cheese... he literally just let all his void rays die to marines when he basically had the game almost won.
@@andreasfritz723 I doubt we'll get 2 more global finals, mostly because the player base is shrinking since most people don't want to play against OP builds like this.
It seems sos doesnt care honestly cz sc2 is on a decline.. so making sm shit out of nothing is content.. + every sos game at these moments are only troll or cheese games.. if he plays his original game which was infact better than parting at many points, he wud rek many.. its just that i dont think he feels winning it anymore.. just waste

Let me tell you that if you can cheese, fail and come out of it without a penalty to your eco, compared to your opponents screwed eco, something is not right Blizzard.
If you can auto repair a unit forever that is fast and extremely powerful, while the other guy, has to micro his ass of, something is wrong as well. And if that build is being used in all leagues because its so easy and effective, something is defenetly wrong.
When a GM just manages to defend with insane micro + the toss was being too greedy, how should ppl below GM or M defend that?
