Confession, Ive actually been shying away from these vids as long as its been recommended because nearly every type tierlist on youtube is based on battle viability only and the tone is negative into hate for half the video. I have no Idea how terribly I forgotten why I love this channel. Because You’re writing is just incredible. Its constantly hilarious,I can’t stop smiling! Kudos to you for actually singing the praises of the types you don’t like and bashing the downsides to them without invoking any sort of hateful or contrary emotion.
The only thing that would actually made me mad is putting dragon in the bottom 5. But I absolutely love the considerations you used in making this list about the design move pools and battle strategies. Of corse your preferred battle style influenced a lot of the Pokémon you like to use and I and seeing your pacman play in ultimate totally supports this.

I'll be real with ya, Logan. I think that the thing that makes me keep coming back to your videos, is not only your wordplay and more ham than a screaming Mamoswine, but I think, your genuineness. You're entirely unafraid to put yourself out there, and in an age of some frankly overbearing postmodernism I see with a lot of people (though some ridiculous ironic humor is easy for me to indulge in, with moderation, at least), I think you should hold onto that dearly. It makes you one of the most unique personalities on the site, and it's always just fun to listen to and watch. I've been watching you for years, and I probably will for many years to come.

@@Chaos89P Personally I like Ice Conceptually more than in Practice. The Idea of a Glass cannon typing is great, but I wish Ice had more options for Non-Trick Room and Non-Slush rush sweepers than it does. But Gamefreak has a Hard-on for making Slow and Bulky Ice types, which, outside of Mamoswine, Glastrier and Ice-Rider Calyrex, have rarely ever worked.
@@StarlightMagician Probably the main reason I don't use Ice types in general. I'm more of a "strike first, ask questions *NEVER"* kinda guy, which may also explain why I prefer Electric types out of all 18.

1- Ice, while some are pretty meh, most are either elegant or rough looking which is cool

My personal favorite type is ghost, since they don't have many weaknesses and it's one of my greatest fears.
That and Rotom is my favorite pokemon EVER!

Poison is my absolute favorite type, no contest. I love the designs (the worst are meh at least), the battle style is so evil and fun, and I’ve just been enamored with it forever. My toxic bois will always have my good graces
Same with me and my favorite type, Fighting. With immense strength and a will to challenge the universe, I can and will overcome everything.
I barely know my own ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to competitive, but rock’s my favorite because they’re pretty darn cool.

Because I don't have NEARLY as much patience as you do Logan (seriously dude, I thought Top 30 Kirby Abilities was crazy but you're planning on doing Top 200 Pokemon?! FUCK), I'm only going to list my Local Minima and Local Maxima.
My Favorite Pokemon Type? Ghost.
My Least Favorite Pokemon Type? Rock.
Rock tries so goddamn hard to act like it's a super defensive type, and boy howdy does it SUCK at that. Maybe it's alright statwise, but it is tied with Grass for the most weaknesses of ANY type out there with FIVE. Ain't NO defensive type gonna be defensive when you take double damage from over a QUARTER of the type roster. And if you thought "Well maybe it's not good defensively, but how about offensively?" Well, the problem with that is... all but FOUR offensive Rock-Type moves (those 4 being Accellerock, a move exclusive to Lycanroc, Ancient Power, Power Gem, and Smack Down) have less than 100% accuracy. It's an alright offensive type, but it's almost always a gamble. Not only is it not the best competitive-wise, but none of the 'Mons really tickle my fancy. While I like Tyranitar, he's probably my least favorite pseudo-legendary. Shoutouts to Minior for having a stupidly fun gimmick (seriously, just give him Shell Smash, Power Gem, Acrobatics, and Explosion with a White Herb to hold and you have a broken kamikaze Mixed Attacker) and Cradily for having an interesting concept/design and for being an underrated special wall (Immunity and access to Leech Seed, immunity to Sandstorm plus increased Special Defense during it, as well as Giga Drain for even more life support).
Ghost is my absolute favorite type and it's mainly due to the Pokemon themselves and not their prowess during battle. Even so, they're the only type to have TWO IMMUNITIES, and they're to surprisingly common types at that. Additionally, when it comes to offense, ALL of their damage-dealing moves, other than Poltergeist, are GUARENTEED to hit, given there is not change to evasion/accuracy, of course. As for the Pokemon themselves, I couldn't live without Shedinja, Rotom, Chandelure, Aegislash, Cursola, and ESPECIALLY not without my two favorite Pokemon of all time... Mimikyu and Banette. Ghost Types, while not the most spectacular in battle, have easily the most interesting backstories of ANY Pokemon out there, to the point where 99% of them are legitimately terrifying. Even the two that don't have a creepy backstory (Those being the Golurk family, NOT Sinistea and Polteageist) still have really interesting origins.
Neat that you combined both. I personally like the Electric and Grass types.
Other than that while not ranking types, I’ll give in a few opinions regarding typing.
There’s potential in a starter trio with the typings of Grass/Steel, Fire/Ice, and another Water/Ground
* Grass/Steel could focus on defense.
* Fire/Ice could be more offensive.
* Water/Ground could balance both.
I also noticed that there are more pure grass type fully evolved starters than there are Fire/Fighting. We have Meganium, Sceptile, Serperior, and Rillaboom.
Also I feel like it wouldn’t have hurt if Sceptile was Grass/Dragon from the start since like Starter Pokemon, dragons were more rare back then, also Sceptile still had a lot of weaknesses.
It’d be neat if a generation’s Pikachu clone was the middle stage of a starter line like a Grass/Electric beaver.
It’d be cool for a Physical Psychic move to have an opponent be held in place with telekinesis while the user attacks them.
Gyarados should have Water/Dark in its normal form if GameFreak isn’t giving it Dragon.

One thing that I realized is that Fire is like Poison, in a sense that Pokémon couldn't handle its true power.
I mean, it can melt rock, sand, it can burn every living thing down, and it can evaporate water at high enough temperatures.
Hell, even diseases can’t take extreme heat.
rewatching his list perfectly reminds me why I adore fighting, grass and ghost as my three favourite types:
Fighting: Straightforward easy to use and super reliable but also every attack does something interesting unlike say ground where its best attack has no second effect, it's simple but with little extra bonuses in every move, making it my favourite, alongside a lack of bad or forgettable members.
Grass: super supportive and fun in a wild way due to many weaknesses but fantastic resistances and advantages in battle. The most risk vs reward type next to ice where they can be destroyed easily but can also DESTROY easily :D Also a lot of fun cool or adorable designs.
Ghost: So good defensively and so interesting in their weird status moves and their strange strong attacks that have odd effects but also incredible immunity to fighting type. The designs are some of the best and their weaknesses aren't always common (prior to gen 6 where knock off is everywhere). There's not really many bad or forgettable ghost types, I just wish some like sableye didn't have such a bad start before they got great.
Eletric is my fav but I love how you put it in the 7th spot.
