That is 100 percent his best movie, one of his first - and you get way more of the song Trouble! Also stars Carolyn Jones, years before she became Morticia Addams on The Addams Family.
You know Elvis didn't like being called "the King".He once stopped a show in Vegas and told a lady with that on a sign, "There's only one king and his name is Jesus Christ".
I much prefer his original version of One Night. Censorship sucks and it wasn't even that risqué. He used the word "sin" and everyone lost their minds. I guess they didn't have any to begin with. A lot of songs in the 30s, 40s and 50s were incredibly sanitized (including Tutti Fruitti, which is about what you think it's about) for white, conservative audience. It was pretty gross that you couldn't hear the artists' original creations in their raw form because someone wanted to tell you what you can and can't listen to.
This is a small part of Elvis' "'68 Comeback Special" which is worth a watch for sure! After 10 years of making movies in Hollywood, and zero tours...he filmed this classic tv special.
My whole family sat around the TV and watched that special. It was unforgettable and eye opening for those of us in our early teens and pre-teen years.
The '68 special was important for the second part of Elvis' career. The tidal wave of the Beatles and other British Invasion bands had swept a number of previously popular American singers off the charts, and Elvis was in danger of being swept away too. With the comeback special, however, he re-established his place in popular culture, which he maintained until his death.
You see why he is the King! The man was just raw talent. Such an incredible voice and charisma like no one else! The '68 comeback special is one you should watch entirely. It was incredible and I was born the year after it was made but have watched it a number of times. Elvis crosses over generations. Glad to see he is still appealing to yours.

To hear the complete song "Trouble" by Elvis, you need to watch his performance from the scene in the movie "King Creole". It's awesome! As fir that second song, "Guitar man", that's originally a Jerry Reed Song.
He played a little bit more 'scratch guitar' after you paused it off at the end guys! Glad you loved it a Superb reaction from both you lovely people. Have a great day!😀

Hi there. This is Barbara. I commented on Sephs channel about 2 yrs now. I am letting as many as I can know that he is a phony. An MJ fan asked him if Elvis was his favorite artist?, He replied that he didn't really care for him and that he didn't care to know everything about him. But he wanted to know everything about MJ. So I questioned him about it and he deleted my comment along with the MJ one. I guess so no one could see with one and what he had said. He also banned me that is why I am letting you know here. Others have suspected him of using EP fans to get more subs and now it seems it's true. I cried thru reading what he said, I couldn't believe it and it hurt so bad. I just wanted to warn you that he is a phony and that I hope people don't sub to his channel for our Elvis. Feel free to pass this on. It's not right that he is faking his Elvis reactions.
Phenomenal!! ... Nobody sings better than Elvis! ... With his voice, his humor, his sexy looks, ... and above all his incredible charisma, he is immortal! ... Simply a singer for eternity!! ✨💎✨🕺🏻🕯 Thank you
I think you would enjoy hearing the original version of Guitar Man, which was done by Jerry Reed. Elvis wanted to record it but he was never satisfied with how it sounded in the studio. They reached out to Jerry Reed who told them that the reason why it didn't sound right was because he (Jerry) wasn't playing on it. They asked Jerry to play on Elvis' version of it, and that was exactly what it needed to make it a hit.
@@Mariethename99 Yeah cause Jerry himself came into the studio with dirty fishing boots, a beard, uncombed hair and shabby clothes cause he was on holiday doin some fishing :D

This was the opening of Elvis'' 68 TV special. After only putting out mediocre movies for 8 years Elvis was showing everyone he was still the Elvis we all had come to love; that's why they call it The Comeback Special.
elvis had presence like no other i wish i had got meet him but he passed three years before i was born his music lives on thought you are king of rocking roll.
The clip started with the song "Trouble" but then warped into the classic late 60s hit, Jerry Reed's "Guitar Man". If you want another dose of "the getting down, deep and dirty, raunchy Elvis", you gotta listen to '68 Comeback Special version of "One Night" where he captivates a select audience surrounding a very small circular stage along with The Jordanaires. It takes me back to his early days.
After seven years of Elvis playing the clean cut, good guy next door in movies , Elvis opened the '68 Special dressed in black asking "If you're looking for trouble..." This was Elvis getting back to his roots in the 50s.
Totally agree that that’s his best. Directed by the great Michael Curtiz, who directed CASABLANCA and WHITE CHRISTMAS (among many others - over a 170 movies - in every genre).
These 2 songs are from Elvis' 1968 "Comeback" special which is incredible. If you've seen "Elvis" with Austin Butler, they spend quite a bit of time and do a good job covering this part of Elvis' career. On a side note, "Guitar Man" was written and originally performed by Jerry Reed who you probably know better as "Cledus" a/k/a "The Snowman" from " Smokey and the Bandit."
Guitar Man was written and recorded first by Jerry Reed who also played guitar on Elvis' version because Elvis couldn't find anybody who could play it like the original.

Guitar Man was written by . . . guess who . . . Jerry Reed, the Snowman in the movie "Smokey and the Bandit". When Elvis was recording it he could not get the sound right, Jerry Reed went to Memphis and played guitar on the Elvis record to get that sound.
