You need to fit a new tailgate harness Those connectors will break in about 6 months time and water will get into the car via the splits in the grommet Worst case is that the wires could short and cause a fire Love what you do but this tailgate harness repair really lets the good work you do down
That tailgate loom was toast. Needs replacing really as it will probably leak now. Crimps don’t flex like wire. As for the seat doesn’t appear to be getting power to the seat. I’d have tried the switch or scanned for high res seat element preventing it switching on.
Great video Mark and it's so nice to see you back even though you are 100% yet!! The wiring is fixed now to the lights well done and it's now working as it should be!! The heated seat I would think was a fuse or something like that as you have checked the wiring as the switch it's self should be working as the other parts do work!! Might need a new switch swopping out buts as you say it could open a can of worms lol!! Stay safe and see you soon on the next one when we all hope you are feeling better each day Mark
I would definitely say the heated seats have one fuse for each of the front seats I know my car has and seeing the switch isn't even lighting up I would go for the fuse before I took the seat out. I've just looked online and the heated drivers (Fuse 27) and passenger (Fuse 32) seats are on separate fuses. Make sure you are looking in the correct fuse box.
Hello Mark, nice to see you back, the wires on the boot were a right mess, tangled, no wonder the lights didn't work.maybe the seat heater button is playing up.
Hi happy new year to you and yours, you could check the continuity of the heating element to the seat with a multimeter, if you have continuity the problem is elsewhere also check the voltage on the connector you should have it when the button is pressed, like you said the button isn't lighting up so sounds like no power going to the switch or switch faulty/fuse hope this helps
The title of this video led me to think it may be of use for a problem I have on a Corsa tailgate. I suffered a 30 min video just to see a few minutes covering the tailgate issue. I was happy to see you found the issue BUT the only thing that you didn't cover was how you identified which of all the black belonged together, WHY 😡
Just to be aware with seat airbag wires are live even if unplugged if wire bare can be live if earths happened to me replacement seat had cut wires that earthed to airbag.

How easy is it to fit a new tailgate harness?
Top job as always thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you’re feeling better I never knew Vauxhall did a 407 estate with a Peugeot badge 😂
That's cos it's a Ford Insignia
🤣🤣🤣
@@stevedmavicmini6581 I can beat that, i got a Suzuki transit with a ford badge.😂

Thanks David not 100% but I will get there I have spoken with the owner he thinks it’s a fuse I will check that 👍👍

Check the power supply to the switch and the seat. There probably is a separate fuse for each seat. The car is coming along nicely 👍👍
What about the fues under the bonnet
Thanks Bob yeah I will he isn’t picking up the car until next week so I do have time 👍👍
Hi buddy nice to see you back in good health take care missed the videos
Thanks John I’m back buddy 👍👍
New year, great content. You called the peugeot 407 a vauxhall 407. I knew what you were supposed to say. Keep up the good work.
But Vauxhall is now owned by Peugeot, so a deliberate mistake I’m sure😅

Thanks mate I definitely need to check the fuse 👍👍
Great to see you back mark. Thanks for passing that chest infection on to me with all that coughing on last video 😷😂
Thanks Bill there are so much flu going about hopefully you are ok mate 👍👍
Think that repair on the hatch wiring needs doing properly mate, that won't last long at all
Yeah! Let's do a Peugeot repair, and title it as vauxhall
What would hold the glass up, some wood would, but would you use wood or would you fix it without wood
🤣🤣🤣you are giving me a headache 🤣
Check for voltage on the seat heater switch, swoop the switch around to check the switch. It may be one fuse for both, but is there a relay
Thanks Peter I do have the car until next week so I will try some other things 👍👍
I give that loom repair a 10 minute warranty 🙄 needs to be replaced with more flexible wires ( multimeter wires are ideal ) and a new rubber boot.

🤣🤣 yes it is buddy 👍👍
Sounds like a faulty wire
It’s got issues if it’s a Peugeot identifying as a vauxhall😂😂
It’s definitely a Vauxhall
A vauxhall 407😂😂😂
Steering wheel and sill says Peugeot
Quite concerning that this guy is confused by a common fault.
It's a Peugeot 407 not a vauxhall marl
Hi Edward it’s definitely a Vauxhall corsa
@@ResurwreckAutosUK he means the first car with the busted driver’s window was a Peugeot not a Vauxhall
This video is BS, that loom has not just broken, someone has taken a knife to all those wires, absolutely fake crap
