on my galaxy s8+, the widescreen videos are something that i rarely see and the zooming option is not really that functional. The widescreen videos look really good and it's nice that i got to enjoy this video in widescreen.

The notch is just an unfinished bezel that allows apple to advertise more diagonal space.
It is technically a very narrow 19.5/9 5.5" display if you factor in the notch, and that has less viewing area than a 5.5 16/9 display, or 5.5" 18/9 display,
It is deceptive advertising and apple being to cheap and slick to just make a proper 16/9 and 18/9 5.8" display.

Me personally am not a fan. I rather have it full screen without the black bars on the top and bottom. I know it will cut some of the video but it’s still better then having black bars.
Okay yes the notch is a little annoying in fullscreen but not as bad as people are making it seem. Also I’d like to mention that besides watching videos, I love the notch! It will become that iconic iPhone look and I think this design is great!

Watching on my iPhone X and the widescreen looks great, couldn’t be more happy with the phone but if Apple could improve on something then they should lower the price, Completely Waterproof the phone with a display that works under water (Like Samsung), More Durable Glass because it is said that it breaks with one fall, and I’m expecting more from the software of a new phone, Animoji’s and a new ringtone just won’t cut it. I would like more features that are exclusive to the phone for the software. If Apple can add these things to the next phone then it will be the best! The new all glass design, Face ID, no home button, wireless charging, and the camera features are extremely great. This is my personal View

My prediction for next 4 iPhones:
iPhone XI: reduced notch size by cutting out the half-centimeter blank space on left & right side of receiver & camera. New notch only 40% of original iPhone X notch size.
iPhone XII: receiver & camera moved up slightly and notch size minimized to include only receiver and camera. New notch size only 20% to that of the original iPhone X notch.
iPhone XIII: receiver moves up to top of iPhone and camera is now covered by screen, and when front camera is enabled, a black spot appears revealing camera underneath and reducing light interference with front camera pictures.
iPhone XIV: full “infinity” edge-to-edge display with no notch as in previous phone. First real “all screen” iPhone.
Mate the next iphones are just going to be a piece of solid glas, that is if they keep removing features. First the headphone jack, now the home button, just wait until the screen will be removed and people pay 1000 for a piece of glass.

Great that Face ID works when it's cold outside, too bad the touch screen doesn't.

Got the iPhone X two weeks ago. Great performance, amazing camera quality and the absence of bloatware (the latter is the reason why I decided to switch to iOS as a former Android user). I think the phone is worth the $999 price tag.
The number one thing I want the truth about is how you record these videos. Do you do a voice recording first and then edit in the B-roll? also do you overdub the dialogue after? re-edit it to match video better? That's honestly the #1thing I was wondering during this fantastic, informative, albeit technically mysterious review.

I bought galaxy s9+ and my wife bought iPhoneX frankly there is nothing wrong with IphoneX it's really a high quality phone than any android phones even than my s9+, it feels nice on hand, but the only negative difference is you can't use third party or piracy paid apps as android does. If there is a way then iphone x is awesome.

Here's the problem..... Apple hired the team that developed the BlackBerry 10 OS that showed the world swipe gestures without a home button. Fast forward 4 years later, QNX shows its efficiency and smoothness with hardware much slower that today's A11 chip in Apple's iPhone X. BlackBerry engineers are destroying Apple from within. Not a reach at all, the iPhone easily has the best OIS in any phones by a wide margin, the PIxel has a very static 'fake' looking OIS whilst the iPhone OIS just 'glides'.
There is actually nothing good about the Pixels
Lol having seeing both cameras, the pixels ois is way better, and it's not even close
The pixel is 100% postprocessing. You don’t get any creative freedom with the image. You can manipulate iPhone photos greatly because it captures wide and accurate over the over saturation and blown out pixel
Lol funny, from what I've seen iphone cams tend to blow out highlights more often then pixels do, I'll give you that the pixel cam has a lot of image processing going on lol
The notch ! How stupid . Apple is reaching a all time low. I am thinking of moving back to Android

I’ve had mine since launch and I am probably biased but I love it, especially the improved camera and the new edge to edge OLED display is a great improvement

iPhones are overpriced / uncustomizable / uninovative / poor design / poor UI
Price is okay since you get a very high resell value unlike android phone that depreciates its value in less than a year. Uncustomizable? You me launcher? That glitches on android phones lol

Let me tell you one thing: Phones, Cars, motorcycles, Tablets etc all of them depreciates since you opened the box or used them even 5 minutes. I bought my sister an iPhone X with 450$ after one month after the release from a dude who bought it on preorder and was disappointed. The phone is in pristine condition, he also offered me an original apple case he bought with the phone and the warranty paperwork and stuff. One month later since it got released with less than half the price. The argument with re sell value is bullshit. Electronics depreciates like crazy and will always do. If you want something that never depreciates : 14K/18K gold, diamonds, precious stones and jewelry in general. I've had a gold ring which I bought with 370€ 4 years ago. I sold it 5 months ago and I got 300€ back. Jewelry has a re sell value. Not phones or shit.
