I LOVE the statistic of 75% of people attend church in person! Pretty cool. This past Sunday I wanted to watch from home, but didn’t tell my husband. When he mentioned doing something nice for a family at church I was all on board! Proud of my husband 💝🥰
This was a nice laid back video with my first cup of coffee which probably is the size of 2! I wanted to share something about online church (which I am thankful for when hospitalized or home bound!) Watching church online is like watching the fireplace on TV. You can see it, but you can't feel the warmth. Nothing can replace church family ❤
It was so nice to hear that you don't enjoy cooking. I cook because it's needed, not because I enjoy it. Lol. Glad to know someone else feels that way too.
Not sure, but you might want to rename this one "What Happens When Dawn And Diana Have A Bit Too Much Coffee"...😂...so many giggle moments with you two! Love you both! ❤
I’m visiting my Mother next week in Austria 🇦🇹- I always have to pay close attention to separate the ‘trash’ a k-cup = remove the lid- goes to metal /- coffee grounds- biodegradable /plastic to its recycling bin - or how about a yogurt- lid to metal- rinse the container and recycle to plastic and on and on - also no such thing as an easy declutter - can’t throw out mugs or travel cups or old irons and bags and suitcases etc 😂sorry for the rant just so different from Europe to here - as always thanks for your content
I cannot thank you enough for gently being persistant in leading us to the Bible Recap. As a Believer in Christ this has truly shown me what a loving God I serve and cause me to repent of laziness.
Thank you girls for laughter! I don't do that enough. You're so down to earth normal, when we're able to share with others . I feel quite anxious throughout my days, wish I could relax more and just enjoy! Thank you for sharing. You two are great together 😊😊
3-16 oz cups of coffee a day... I'm tandem breastfeeding and it hasn't affected my babes. I also drank coffee every day while pregnant. Gosh, like 4 plus hours a day- cooking, cleaning, laundry, picking up after kids. I also have 4 kids ages 7,5,2, and 1. So I do everything!
My dad used to drink MORE THAN FIFTY cups of coffee per day!!! Eventually, one of my brothers told him he was more irritated with it, so he decreased it. I think he's now drinking 5 or 6. He is over 80yo now, and still has good health and not too high blood pressure, so I guess it works for him. He would have seriously skewed the curve for you, though.
Stuff is recyclable only if it’s clean. If you put a dirty cup plate or pizza box in the recycle if damages everything around it and a lot more goes to landfill.
You guys are awesome 😂 I love watching you :) As far as housework--what's included? All cooking, baking, shopping, garden/yard work, cleaning, decluttering, organizing, meal planning, etc......I feel like it depends on what "counts".
Former dental assistant here… I took a course about how the bacteria that cause cavities is actually contagious, so if you are sharing spoons, etc, with your kids, you’re sharing your bacteria (kids don’t have it when they are born). One thing that I’ve done myself is I swish with a small amount of colloidal silver (like 1/2 tsp) and don’t get cavities (and I’m not as diligent about oral hygiene as I used to be). My husband used Listerine for years and always got them until he started using the colloidal silver as well.
If your kids are of an age where they take on half or more of the household work, and if dad pitches in too, of course it's lower. I'm a minimalist with 7 kids (5 at home). We cook all meals here. Dad and kids share work load, but I have no idea how you average less than an hour. You still have to clean the bathroom, clean the kitchen, do laundry, cook meals, general tidy, sweep / mop as needed, dust as needed, etc. I bet you do more time than you think.
You two are hilarious and so positive and encouraging at the same time!!!:) Thank you so much for what you do- The Lord used you both to brighten my morning! God Bless your day! ❤😁
Tomatoes help break down meat to tenderize it. I drink cups of instant coffee two 8 oz with 8 oz of milk. ☕️🥛☕️🥛 I am at " stay at home with husband only helping with garden work, meaning I do all the laundry (separteing, washing, hanging to dry, folding, and if needed ironing), any cleaning, tidying up, groceries, bookkeeping, and researching (best prices and products for our family) and driving. I do about 3½ hours daily of home duties. I moved slower than most and some days are full 9 hours (sitting time included because I it's too painful to walk, so I sit by the washer to add sofer. My hobbies is TH-cam, Commenting on TH-cam, and a few games to workout my brain (3 hours🎉). My other hobby is to stretch out as much as possible our money, which I used to enjoy so very much, not so much anymore. 😢
Cooking from scratch and healthy takes time ... laundry (taking care of work and Sunday clothes) ... especially when working "outside the home" also is time consuming ... a labor of love ❤️ for our Loved Ones 🙂
I enjoy seeing my hygienist/ dentist. I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months. Bible Recap; Notes & Hues with Kanoe Gibson. Planting & arranging flowers, push mowing(for exercise), & reading. I'm a minimalist so probably an hour or 2 a day doing housework which includes hanging laundry on the line, general housework , cooking. I'm not online as much anymore. It's so good to see you both together in videos.
My husband and I are doing the 1 year Bible this year. Reading through in one year. I have a Bible app on my phone which reads to us. We use it for the OT and NT readings, but we read the Psalm and Proverb aloud.
I have been using that mouthwash you recommended. I got my teeth cleaned today and my hygienist said “wow, you’re doing great!” I use that and the picks she recommended but it obviously improved a ton! Thank you! It’s on autoship now!
So very thankful for online church when I need it, but it is not the same as in person. Was traveling recently and it was both strange and wonderful to listen as we were on the highway.
I drink 4 cups of coffee ☕️ a day, but one is usually decaf. Housework is usually 30 min, but I have minimaliezd, thanks to Dawn. I also have a color bible, drawing, bikeriding, swimming, and listening to you both. I go to church 8 times a month, but then my husband and I are children's pastors. The statistics I heard is 1 a mth. We also have an online church touching over 130 countries, but I physically go and listen to our app. I also listen to the bible on the bible app. Thank you both. You make me laugh often, and yes, your honesty is refreshing. 😊😂❤ No judgment from me ever, only His Grace!
I used to drink at least 5 thru the day but now that I have mushroom coffee I just don’t maybe 3 a week. Cut out sugar in coffee too… Every day Dose changed my life so far …
I watch the two of you while getting ready to go to church!! A Sunday morning habit!! :) The two of you make me wish I had a twin sister!! Thank You for sharing your thoughts and making us feel normal!!!!!!!!!!
Hobbies-My Design Home game of my phone. I think social media should be on that list. It is the biggest drain on my time. I'm currently watching y'all. lol!
I typically go to church every week. I am not today because I have been ill for a couple of days. I use apps to listen because of my eyesight and focus issues. I miss spending time in the paper scriptures.
My youngest loves to bake. He almost got a job doing it but he didn't want to ruin his hobby. I watch church online because of health reasons and I use Bible App and Bible Recap podcast. I also have the Bible Recap book on order (I want the sage one) plus I have the Life Application Bible that Dawn has. I love it all! Love seeing you both!
I love this video! I stopped going to church for Covid and haven't gone back. Struggling with this, but I no longer rate our pastor and so I need to find a new church.
Cooking and dishes take a long time, especially if you make 3 meals per day. I can understand cleaning for 1 hour or less per day. That could easily add up to 2.7 hours per day.
Sorry about so many added messages, but I stopped the video to answer each question. My husband and I haven’t returned to a church yet since Covid but I’ve been thinking about it. He is much better than I at doing bible reading each day. We live in a small town area and I’m struggling with finding a church that I can agree with all their principles, at least the important, to me, ones.
I just enjoy ypu both so much. You both fill up my heart. 😊 I laughed and felt like I was sitting right there with you. Thank you for being so genuine and loving. I love you both! And BTW dawn still would like your chicken chili recipe, I have never made chili with chicken. Please and thank you. ❤
Love you guys! About dental health...(my mom was a dental hygienist for 30 years). There is this little space between the tooth and the start of the gum called the Sulcus Pocket. When your hygienist goes around your teeth with that menacing little pick and calls out the numbers: 1, 1, 3, 2, 4 etc., they are calling out the depth of the Sulcus Pocket. The deeper it is, the worse your dental health is because bacteria harbor in that little pocket and cause gum disease. So, can I save you $150 on a fancy water pic thing? As you are brushing, consider using your soft toothbrush to clean out that pocket. Brush in a circular motion around the edge of the gumline on the outside and the inside of each tooth. Push the toothbrush so that those little bristles can get down (or up) into the Sulcus Pocket and scrub out any goo that might be in there. Then be absolutely sure to brush the roof of your mouth and your tongue. Then rinse with a mouthwash. Oh and of course, you should floss every day. That should be ALL you need to keep your teeth perfectly healthy. Do this twice a day and you'll be golden. It takes a bit of practice to get behind the front teeth top and bottom and the back teeth as well. Happy brushing!
Thank you so much for taking time to share this. I think it’s called “round brushing”… is that correct? I had a really good hygienist recommend exactly what you’re saying!
In my country, in the area I live, all doctor’s and test appointments were booked in May for the rest od 2024. No ultrasounds, no checks or tests available, you should go to private hospitals and get maybe an appointment in 2-3 months and pay a lot of money. We pay 1/4 of our income as tax and social security contribution, but no service… really sorry about what happened to this lady, unfortunately it is very common elsewhere too. No prevention, and things get found out too late. 😢
I loved this!!! How fun! Yes, I get dental guilt too!! Why are these dentist so traumatizing???? I try to floss every day but man, that is the one thing that gets skipped. Gotta get the toothbrush. My hobby would be puzzle and reading. I don't drink coffee. I spend about an hour or two a day cleaning ...maybe more if I do a full home-cooked meal. I usually do a big dinner about 3-4 And I do love to bake more than cook!! We have a dog that sheds so we are always vacuuming..and we have allergies and I have to stay on top of dust. We go to church once a week.. If we can't go we do watch online.usually go to a bible study once a week as well. Favorite foods would be cheeseburgers, pizza, a really good salad, or a good 'farm meal' like peas & cornbread and tomatoes!!! I can't wait to try these recipes out that y'all mentioned... I think y'all should do a video showing us step-by-step if you haven't already done this.... new recipes always make me feel overwhelmed! Oh~ I do TBR everyday on the app and She Reads Truth hard copy! Blessings to you ladies!
Thank you soooo much...I used to go to church every Sunday and even in the mornings on a daily basis...now I just go every once in a big while :( maybe that'll change soon I feel called to go back to church! Amen Thanks!!! You both have awesome Spirits it shows in your demeanor...Blessings!!!
I love watching you two together. My favorite food is lasagna or kale stew. Kale is only tasty in season (winter). I make the lasagna, my husband makes the kale stew. I think that the Dutch eat out or takeaway food much less than people in the US, which makes homemade dishes more popular.
Favorite foods: Tacos or Sushi any day/every day (if I could get away with it....I don't!!)🤣 Coffee: 1/2 a cup a day. Housework: I guess if you count laundry, cooking, and dishes I probably spend 1.5 hours. That's with dinner taking about 30 minutes. Hobby: Reading, socializing, and gardening Bible: I use paper, people, and online.
In the winter months, one pot of coffee throughout the morning at work and maybe a couple cups in the late afternoon when I start my 2nd job. I can drink coffee an hour before bed and not bother me! I'm not normal! LOL
I have 12 kids, 11 still at home. I don't do a lot of cooking, but I easily spend 2 hours a day feeding kids, cleaning, and keeping up on laundry. We do 3 loads of laundry a day, which takes me 10 minutes per load to rotate and sort. Dishes per meal take me 10-15 minutes...so those two alone are over an hour. If everyone works together we can get an entire level of our house picked up in 10 minutes...but we have 3 levels, so that's another 30 minutes. And none of that is directing the deep cleaning. (*I* don't do most of the cooking or deep cleaning, but directing it and keeping kids on task still takes time.)
Cooking and baking is a hobby in my house. My son is a cook and works at a fine dining restaurant. He experiments with food and makes dishes at home. Yesterday, we spent over 5 hrs cooking and cleaning up. It didn’t feel like 5 but the morning and early afternoon was busy with preparing yummy dishes!
I love both your tops. You two are the sweetest. The landfill thing is tough. 😂 I try to recycle but apparently the plastic companies are the biggest culprit as well as other large countries that have loose or no standards for waste disposal. I just went to the dentist & I do feel guilty!! I’m gonna pull out my water pick!! TACOS all day long!! Wait- not for breakfast though-😂
Y'all are so fun! I am evidently very NOT normal but am very much ok with that. We are living counter cultural for sure...we are essentialists living slow and simple and intentional. TH-cam is my only social media(crazy right), I probably do 2 hours of housework but only bc I am not rushing and am giving myself the gift of single tasking and enjoying what I am doing. I could care less about my dentist thinks-they think I'm weird anyway bc I don't take fluoride.😅I do spend time gardening and while I know post modernism is a thing in the Church, I simply haven't had that as my experience bc I am very connected to our local church which is thriving and we do small groups every week and we do life together. I am only in my 40's like you guys but life is intentionally slow and beautiful and filled with serving God alongside people who would drop what they're doing to come help me in a second and I them. This didn't just happen. It took a great deal of intention in our life and saying no to a lot that the average person simply can not say no to but it is a wonderful way to live. As a crisis and trauma counselor I believe the disconnect from self(all the distracted/hurry culture) and from a supportive community is devastating and is the primary reason for most mental health disorders. It is a disorder of living. It is dis-ordered living. When you get the order back then consistent peace is found but it takes time and it requires a willingness to be crazy but our culture's standards. ❤
You two need to make more videos together. I just love watching you both 😊
Me too🎉
Agree! I learn and laugh. Not a lot better than that combination!
Same here!!! =)

Side note: I live in Normal, IL so we get all the “normal” jokes!! And yes I’m pretty much normal 😂
You both made the day brighter! Thank you for your realism and grace for every woman in any stage of life.
I don’t care whether you are normal or not, don’t ever stop being the way you are! You two bring so much joy into my life! Love you so much!! 😄

@@KellyBoettcher-qo9txWe have lots more room for landfills generally speaking.
Yes! 🙏 Lord ...Grace ... peace ... Thank you Diana and Dawn for this time of fellowship ... and 😃 laughter. It's good for our souls 😂❤
I love you both!! I get so confused throwing trash away in public places! I end up throwing it all in one can!
I cannot thank you enough for gently being persistant in leading us to the Bible Recap. As a Believer in Christ this has truly shown me what a loving God I serve and cause me to repent of laziness.
My go to hobby is crocheting and I like having a furniture painting project from time to time.
THANK YOU LORD for these 2 wonderful fun a caring ladies!!
Great video!! Thanks

Oooh thank you especially for your prayer at the end , Diana ! I felt comforted & lifted up by The Holy Spirit. Liz
Thank you, ladies. I'm 84, but I still love to learn. You are such a blessing
I'm on year three with Bible recap. I can't recommend it enough. I got to meet Tara Leigh a little over a year ago on one of her trips to Israel.

As far as housework--what's included? All cooking, baking, shopping, garden/yard work, cleaning, decluttering, organizing, meal planning, etc......I feel like it depends on what "counts".
Exactly. I do housework all day pretty much. I’ve simplified, and have helpers. I garden and can, cook & bake from scratch.
Thank you for being so funny and uplifting!!! Love you both so much!
Ever since I went on a low carbohydrate diet I have had great dental checkups with no discernible plaque. Amazing!
That is amazing. I have been less than 20 carb for the less 6 months. Can’t wait to go to the dentist.
@@janetkinkade9748 it was my 2nd check up after going low carb that did the trick so don't give up if results aren't immediate.

Hebrews 10:23-27
I love hanging out with you gals! You're so much fun ❤
I love watching you two together. My favorite food is lasagna or kale stew. Kale is only tasty in season (winter). I make the lasagna, my husband makes the kale stew. I think that the Dutch eat out or takeaway food much less than people in the US, which makes homemade dishes more popular.
I’m dying laughing at your flossing remarks! Just say yes! 😂
Thank you❤ I needed this today❤❤❤
I think I usually spend an hour in the kitchen everyday. Empting the dishwasher and food prep. It's just me and my husband so I'm doing it all.
Diana, you guys crack me up!😂 And I love your sincere prayer at the end. ❤
Favorite foods: Tacos or Sushi any day/every day (if I could get away with it....I don't!!)🤣
Coffee: 1/2 a cup a day.
Housework: I guess if you count laundry, cooking, and dishes I probably spend 1.5 hours. That's with dinner taking about 30 minutes.
Hobby: Reading, socializing, and gardening
Bible: I use paper, people, and online.
So enjoy you two 😊
Maybe for the cleaning average they add in the declutter sessions. I would have to add in canning and freezing for the winter
At Liberty Island they have one that sais food compost, recycle, and everything else.
This was so much fun, Diana & Dawn!
My favourite is ribs. I do 1.5 hours housework a day because my favourite hobby is cooking.
Well I’m normal and don’t do most of what you said. 😂😂. Differences are good . ❤
Absolutely
The Bible Recap recommended by Diana. 👍
Y'all are awesome. On paper I'm normal, not so much otherwise, so I'm especially thankful to get to hang with you norms!!
Another great video! Thanks❤️

Diana, i just have to say , I love your hair!
