List of things that you were confused about/were new: 3:20 - 2 frame (I think) cutscene skip allows retention of speed. This is also used at the start of huge mess (5:01) and at the start of 6a rock bottom, but the latter isn't in this run ofc. This is followed by a corner kick to get past the block 4:49 - grounded ultra in the previous room into down right at the end of the previous room allows leaving the room with lots of horizontal speed. nuf said 5:07 - corner kick, but was this not used since like last year? I'm surprised 7:55 - so this run was very smooth yeah, but a couple months ago I think one of his world records had something along the lines of 13 unintentional deaths, which was the most unintentional deaths in a WR run since 2019 I think. Insane. 8:53 - very precise (i think 2f) momentum wounce 9:04 - lake skip but if it was 5b 10:17 - lake skip but if it was lake skip 10:43 - I think the cycles just make a direct up bounce impossible, or at least very difficult (1f). Entirety of fast fall section - yeah pretty much these are strats that had been found a while ago but a) setups have made them a little easier and b) this guy is really good at the game lol 11:29 - pause buffering to get 1f momentum jump allows you to hit that crystal without dying or using a dash, which facilitates the kevin skip 11:55 - ultra into corner kick 12:15 - ultra is slower 12:24 - corner boost (i think 3f?) allows you to skip waiting for the zipper 12:27 - corner kick 12:38 - skip waiting for the zipper to go back by just going directly to badeline 13:28 - corner boost into corner kick into spike jump (that strat is sub pixel dependent but i think the corner kick sets it up) Fun vid :) thx for uploading
Thank you, this is quite helpful. I knew the spike jump at 5:07, but the setup for it seemed a bit different, that's what I meant by "we used to do it different" there. I think everyone was reverse dashing into the room to get that spike jump. I'm glad you liked the video :)
There's no ultra at 11:52, it's a hyper into a coyote bhop I think 13:28 is just -a double cornerboost- two cornerboosts in a row, although it's still very difficult and almost nobody does it in runs
fun video! it was pretty relatable since our pbs are seconds apart and i also haven't played any% in a super long time lmao the rise of secureaccount is definitely one of the craziest things to happen to celeste speedrunning. dude is such a grinder and has saved so much time through grinding out near perfect movement

@@nebulae5236 I played a little but begginer lobby was way too easy that I don't even know how I would make a video about. Would it be enjoyable to make an individual video about every map? Or do I just skip the easy bits?
@@hypertheo3683there me some custom mechanics and ideas introduced that seemed pretty cool, so if you had a reaction to any of them that might be fun to see! Otherwise either making a highlight reel or skipping it would be most enjoyable for me to watch
@@nebulae5236 I think for beginner lobby especially you might wanna just make a highlight reel or skip it if you don’t think there’s enough content. For later lobbies you might want to do a couple maps per video (collab maps are short), or one video per map when it gets tough.
I can only find a 21:43 any% TAS on TH-cam, so I suggest running the TAS yourself with Celeste studio (the current TAS is around 21:27) for the best experience.
