    Synchronicity ! I've been recalling and working this one out on the acoustic with finger slides for the past three weeks. I'm working in D and your suggestion to use the minor 4th has spiced it up quite a bit. Now I suppose I should go and listen to the original before I continue.

      I figured out a tip with playing F chords.
      Play a C chord but have your middle, ring, and pink move to the strings below. Both E strings should be exposed and it'll technically be an F chord but with your index on the B string instead of a barre.
      After a while I kinda started practicing with the barred chord and it became easier and now I can play just about any barred chord.

  • @michaelenglish1030
    @michaelenglish1030 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nice job, Marty. You might want to take a closer listen to the end of the bridge, because there is no Ab chord anywhere in this song. I think you'll find that instead the steel guitar plays G to Bb, back to G, while the rhythm guitar stays on G. Otherwise, a nice and accurate tutorial.

  • @lamsonian
    @lamsonian 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great to see a tutorial on this beautiful song by Santo & Johnny ("Sleep Walk") with the correct chords! Kudos on that!
    ... Unfortunately, and I feel it's worth mentioning, there are some inaccuracies being done with the melody, here. Thusly, teaching bad habits to anyone utilizing this tutorial as a true representation.
    Just my two cents.
    Thank you for keeping this Soulful Music alive.
