21:41 minutes in" empty way of life" is what my life was till I found Jesus and then it became a full way of life.
21:52 minutes in "sin drains life of meaningful content by reducing the human being to a consumer" or I might think a commodity, used, then tossed when no longer needed.
26:19 minutes in "you know that you were not purchased with perishable things such as silver or gold you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you. You were purchased by the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without spot or blemish making our lives infinitely of greater value than anything else. Jesus says we are irreplaceable because there is only one of us.
Thanks Ty. Great talking points for our youth class.

Even outside a pandemic I don't go to church on Saturday or Sunday but Ty has great insight. Reason I don't go to church is built into this sermon. I felt like nothing more than a commodity to competing franchises of Christianity. The church built right next door in 1874 to the one built in 1872 with a newer taller steeple, a bigger neon sign, and now a flashier web graphic. I especially reject any franchise that came from the world's hub of capitalism the United States. To you it makes sense, to me it's McDonalds vs Burger King.

True. The church (set apart ones/ekklesia) the people, not the building. I think it’s time to create more sustainable tight knit communities of believers.. maybe starting in the homes. If not, deconstructing the service and stop taking for granted our hallowed traditions that have no basis in scripture.

“The technology creates us”. Reminds of the joke,”In Soviet Russia, the T.V. watches you!”
In all seriousness, it’s a nice observation, a la Neitzshe, along the lines thought our thoughts possess us, or that if gaze long into an abyss, it will gaze back into you.

Someone explain what he meant when he said ‘God in all his omnipotent power couldn’t create another one of us if we were to cease to exist’?

It’s not just financial gain, it’s any kind of gain: although money talks especially through social media. Many get paid big bucks for people subscribing to their TH-cam sight. TH-cam stars make close to 20 million a year (google it)!
Other hand: Matthew 24:14 ~ “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
SOCIAL MEDIA IS A GREAT TOOL FOR REACHING PEOPLE with the GOOD NEWS❣️(Which is what you are doing)
    Thank you 🙏 😊
