All I can say is ......WOW Jake! You are beyond impressive in your thoroughness and knowledge of your craft. Your community is extremely lucky to have a technician of your abilty and integrity. Lav didn't know half of what you know at your age. Just don't get as crusty as he did!!
I would probably recommend a new run cap any time you see the wire get that hot can definitely transmit the heat inside the cap and damage the capacitor and it doesn’t show bad yet but may fail
Don't know what size they are inside the walls, but for the size of the unit, if they are 6" supplies he didn't have enough. Would have to open the register covers to measure the supply on the duct boot.
