The timber is some of these mines, if they were ever removed by state officials or owners of the mines, would make amazing wood for turning or some form of wood crafting. Thank you for these videos. Outstanding. My husband and I should invest in a drone. Amazing all the stuff we miss due to be older and not wanting to hike into no where.

Ive been following you for awhile. I normally dont say much, kinda quiet. I love the Utah videos. We are moving there May/June 2024 and just really have started to watch some of your older video. It is so crazy how you have grown with your channel, but in such a great way. I have teied for years to get my courage up and just always fail. So i really admire your confidence.

When you said Silverbell mine, they got me excited. I live right below the Silverbell mine about 15 miles. We enjoy your shows. We are new to rock hounding

This was a very cool area. That’s awesome that you used to live there although I can imagine there wasn’t much there.

We still live below the silver bell mine, we enjoy getting out there and going up to the tailing piles and shafts. Cool rocks are all we have found.

Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it as I do all your videos. One suggestion if I may. The music seems just as loud as your voices. Can you lower the music so we can hear your voices better? Looking forward to your next adventure.

"looks like a small rock wall made from rocks found in the area". Upon close examination, they look like rocks from Bisbee, Flagstaff or Kingman. You guys are always in shorts. Haven't had enough experience with the Ariz. cheese grater? So many concrete structures with no Redi-Mix trucks! Gneiss video!

This mine belongs to our family. It is not abandoned. It has been in our family since early 1900's

Those channel look similar to foundry use for molten metal moulding. Especially since the metal of it extends out... Very interesting

Ya think maybe the tile looking concrete may have once been covered with tile, and the edges of the tile leaked chemicals on the concrete eroding it slightly, leaving that pattern?

When you see the beams and posts that were supporting the roof of the mine just standing there with no roof contact..... yeah, that's too sketchy to go into.

I just lost a dog. So I know what that is like. I hope you didn't lose your home too.

be interesting to know how the miners chose a site to dig a mine, much work and money committed once begun, they suffered

This is the exact question that I try to answer every time I see one of these mines. I don’t always talk about it in my videos. It would draw out the videos to an ungodly length. And I try to keep the information direct into the point. Most the time there a geologic trends in the mountains. How some of the old-timers knew about these I’m not sure. Being a geologist you can see them as you’re walking around. A lot of minerals that come out in the colluvium closer to the streams and on the sides of the hill are good indicators of what could be mind in the area.

Have you guys ever considered using a drone to get into the caves you've deemed too dangerous for people to go into? It would be able to get into much smaller openings and you could have the footage streamed directly to a device you guys have in case something happened to the drone.

It would be good to turn the music sound down a bit so that one can hear the 2 of you talk easier
