Its funny because I was just talking about this movie with my buddies and I couldn't remember the name. They didn't know what I was talking about and I was starting to feel like Julian Moore's character.
I love this movie ,when I was walking out of the movie theatre and getting something to eat people asked me how it was, I said it’s like the twilight zone and x files combined. This is a really underrated sci fi movie , it’s ironically the Thee FORGOTTEN classic.
this movie played on tv when I was like 5 years old and scarred me in the back of my mind for life, you have no idea the range of emotions I just went through as the few details that were burned into my mind lined up and I realized this review is talking about that movie
The plot twist literally made me so angry I just shut down when it revealed it. I just let the rest of the movie play and didn’t pay much attention. This could have been such an amazing movie but it’s just lame
The interaction between Telly (Julianne Moore) and Police detective Pope (Alfre Woodard) although brief, is unforgettable : Two women who understand what it is to be a mother in anguish for her child. I think the scene when Pope finally understood and shouted it to Telly is most heart-warming.
It makes sense the aliens to use humans help, specially those in power to secure the ongoing experiment street level and the ones who can oversee the human side (shrink, in this case) as a medium between them and the test subjects. The aliens would have behaviour input by the humans helping them as well as cover
I believe the father of the lost daughter was another hurdle to making Tilly forget her son by having sex. She resisted forgetting by resisting sex. But I definitely think that Tilly's experience would have marred her view of her husband permanently, by having him forget her and her son. At least, the lost daughter's father eventually remembered. The father repressed his memory by drinking, but it may have fooled the aliens into thinking that his memory was wiped clean. I wonder if the aliens ever counted on repressed and hidden memories as truly forgotten memories.
I saw this movie as a teen over a decade ago wo ever seeing the trailer & possibly missing the cloud scene. It imo is slightly less predictable if you see the movie wo ever watching the trailer. Definitely agree the trailer is a dead giveaway.
A heart-warming X-Files : The mysterious beings, whoever, whatever they are and whatever their motives for trying to erase a mother's memories of her child, in the end had to throw in the towel, beaten by the invincible Motherly Love.

Im tired of commenting the same thing over and over... YOURE SO UNDERRATED!! you deserve way more than what you have now, great job on everything! I could trust you with my life:)
Right? Like they discovered that the mothers were able to remember? Or just Telly specifically? Like what is the purpose of this data? Like humans are so meaningless and useless outside of earth so why would aliens care about human emotion, thoughts or connection?
The aliens said they could measure love but they didn't understand it so his experiment was to see if you could destroy it wasn't about a mother child bond and she said yall let them do this and the agent said let them (laughing)we just try to minalize the damage.
So, was 'The Forgotten' [starring Julianne Moore] a prequel to _[also!]_ Julianne Moore’s 2015 Academy Award winning performance in 'Still Alice', or its sequel, considering both films’ similarities concerning loss of memory & Julianne Moore? [Wow! Three mentions - whoops, now *four!* - of Julianne Moore in _one_ YT comment, seems a little too often...my apologies!]
2:51 - I usually watch this channel at 1.75 speed... does he do an awkward pause after awkward jokes in other videos? Cuz it took me from a smirk at the Marty McFly reference to a llol. I don’t know how to explain it... but I loved it
theNewBee Reviews Lmao. Just wanna say your reviews are the best and funniest ones out there, keep going:) Also could you do a review of the movie This Is The End, got a feeling it would be funny as hell.
I didn't really see the trailer I guess but just knew it as the movie were the kids dissapear and a friend ended up selling me their DVD of it so I was not spoiled and honestly it was great
this is one of my favorite movies. Anyone that reads this comment, do u know of anymore movies like this where the movie alludes to alien contact, but where its only kind of suggested?? I know that towards the end you actually see an alien but it isnt populated with all the typical syfy imagery. edit--any movies NOT named Dark Skies lol
I know exactly what you mean and I love that kind of stuff. I don't have a recommendation that's really similar to what you're looking for, but you should watch 'Signs' (Mel Gibson). It's an amazing movie that is a must watch.
I say by 2030 this movie will get props. This is what one side of the last 2 years feels like..when you unweave the web of lies we've been told since about atleast 6 generations. It's similar to the spiritual side of what's going on. The essence is captured perfectly.
The most horrifying thing we can think of, reality warping aliens toying with our lives like gods... Is this movie a conspiracy reference or are we crazy and the tinfoilers right? I've gotta lay off the dank...
How's the sex? I'm glad u asked, it's non existent 😣. Lol great vid mate, you are very amusing and yer jokes are pure gold
i honestly love how devoted this guy's fanbase is. it's so wholesome
Trailers have a tendency to spoil their own movies even now.
When will the madness end?
Yeah
I'm the lucky one!

I remember first watching this film (ended up watching it many times) but felt letdown by the plot reveal in the third act.
Its funny because I was just talking about this movie with my buddies and I couldn't remember the name. They didn't know what I was talking about and I was starting to feel like Julian Moore's character.
I love your vids
Ps: Could you cover "Forgotten" any time in the future, a pretty interesting one imo
Wait

Same thing happened to me. I actually forgot (no pun intended) that I'd seen this film until now. It's an uncanny feeling...

That shot in the trailer was the main reason why I saw this movie in theaters. It was badass but I really wasnt expecting aliens lol

Never noticed those clouds before. What was their purpose for measuring n monitoring the connection what could they use it for?

I've always loved this film. And it has the best unexpected car crash scene EVER.
“Who’s up there, Mega Maid!?”

3:09 the very likeable Jessica Hecht,
so motherly sweet as May in Wes Craven's 2010 ''My Soul To Take"
Your vids are pure Gold! I cracked here couple of times
This movie scared me so much when I was a kid that I still remember it to this day. xD
I would add a like but I saw where it is at and I didn’t want to ruin the equilibrium.
I just plain lost it at 7:17
Super left field, had me in tears.
Ah, twinflame number...thanks for the trigger synchronicity 😆

Wait did this movie happen? Why can’t I remember it, it’s almost like I’ve......
I've only saw the version with that u said was the theatrical release ending
I think the forgetfulness is probably a side effect from the mind sweep
Why does the crash at 4:56 sound like an shotgun blast? (Use headphones)
Unimaginative foley crew

Is the background soundtrack used for the 2 aliens animation from the movie Contact? Sounds vaguely familiar.
The sex is uh… I can’t even remember. what is sex?
