The crazy thing about LTG is that, high tier character or not, he's still able to get and (usually) maintain high ranks. If he had a good mentality and wasn't eternally the saltiest crybaby in the room then he could actually be insanely good. But no, his skill comes from brute force time investment & his younger years when he wasn't so stubborn and idiotic. Even if he didn't do the truly awful shit he has, the way he is now he still would have 0 chance of anybody respecting him and would probably still have his lifetime ban. What a joke of a person.

yea i was finna say with a character with some of the best buttons in the game and specials, he had every outlet, even if his fingers couldnt do that input cause he's ass, he could just drive impact when he was in the corner after the ryu burnt himself out to atleast try something or condition something

Ngl, SF in general downgraded after 4, but LTG definitely is the boy who cried wolf when it comes to this. He'll just trash the current game and rave about the new game, get clapped in the new game, say the older game was better. I don’t agree with LTG but I do run into players who for some reason do really unsafe moves and it works because I don’t expect them to throw out a move that’s -1000000000.

Especially sweeps. He talks about random players not knowing frame data when sweeps are hella minus on block, but claims they’re plus so they can brainlessly throw them out in neutral.
It's good to mix some randomness into your gameplan to catch your opponents off guard

@@linkny2914I think it has more to do with internet providers and how close you're to the hub . I've seen streamers get lag when playing hardwired. That and I set 4-5 min bars on sf6 and RARELY have a laggy match.
That's definitely a cope, I've played against wired players with even worse connection than some wifi players. LTG just thinks anyone with wifi is a "stream sniper" so he ducks the fights
I decline wifi players because it's inferior to wired and will always be. Doesnt matter if it's 5g or not.

IMHO he cannot wrap his head around the fact that he hasn't grasped the style of gaming SF6 has and he has no real gameplan so he gets his ass handed to him brutally, but he had some points in his meltdowns.
DR gets some characters to do huge pressure and get you trapped in block or taking damage from a long series of hits: something a really classic player sometimes mentally refuses, because it radically changes the game and it feels like not Street Fighter.
Certain characters can be fairly often plus and keep hitting you with any sort of rapid jabs or loops.
The game is VERY imbalaced, and having occasional beasts playing low tier characters such as Snake Eyez, does not mean that zangief has the same chanches to win that luke Has, or Ken, or JP, Cammy, Juri, Dee Jay and Yes: even Ryu.
But at the end of the day, he plays JP, and he still sucks royally at using him, he just gets carried and does not care to learn the game plan, combos and mixups.
I pity him.

People like LTG and DSP are unironically flowchart players since that was more of the standard in the past due to the average skill being a lot lower before. By refusing to get with the times and change with the landscape they've stagnated themselves in that 1990s-2000s mentality which simply doesn't really work that well in the modern era. Everyone got exponentially better when gaming became more widespread in the 2010s as the skill ceiling naturally raised because of it and with so many people bringing new playstyles, being flexible and dynamic is a fundamental requirement. Accessibility to information grew as the internet took off so arcade goblins and early adopters of gaming consoles could no longer squirrel away tech to themselves and have the edge over people who didn't have the means to play frequently.
This extends even beyond just SF where he also flowcharts in MK, Tekken and Smash.

If anything arcade players are the reason that fighting games became more accessible with the internet. The demand and popularity of fighting game started with older players and put the genre in the spot it is today.
I agree that the new generation of players further raised the bar and brought new, innovative and fresh ways to approach the game.
But most of the older player adapted to the tech, information and other tools to get better.
They were there from the beginning so on top of all that data they got the most important thing, long time experience.
OG players also got families and full time jobs now, so much less time than the younger gen.
Of course, there are good and bad players among the old and new players. But on average people with more experience best people with less in my opinion.
LTG is the ype of guy that complains about his GF cheating but keeps coming back lol he said crouch fierce is a down roundhouse.

I think that he plays very well, however he needs to read these obvious grabs. The Ryu consistently went for 2 grabs in a row and was constantly spamming low kick (classic Ryu)

Sometimes you kinda have to, but not to the extent of LTG. The SF6 netcode is fantastic and compensates well for bad connections, but at the end of the day there is only so much you can do to make up for horrendous connections.
Meanwhile JP has free out of jail with one of the most broken counters in history, guess he did not use it to keep complaining, LTG an absolute sad meme

It's because they were supposed to be base roster but they weren't finished in time for release. It's a common thing now, happened in Strive and MK1 too

In my university we have an arcade with SF3, I swear it's the best street fighter game for me (I started with 5) with how hard yet rewarding and balanced the game is, rewarding aggressivity mixed with skill with it's amazing parry system, no modern controls, you play like everyone else, everybody learns their combos because of practice, no garbage drive rush abuse, no drive impact with no braindead corner pressure, no stupid normals cancel with drive rush, all of this because there is no drive system to abuse

dude wants modern third strike but I know it’s a bitter pill to swallow but third strike was a little overrated. i know it’s not a popular opinion but also look at what happened after it was released, fighting games started dying. There were other factors but if it had been the game that everyone thought it would be, then it could have changed the course. Also, capcom loves revisions and that gets old real quick😂

They made every rank easier to achieve, the gameplay easier, mechanics scrubbier, modern controls is literally “I can play fighting games too!” And the execution is even easier at face value lol. Slow easy whiff punishes, no more 3fs, DI wall splats for easy combos… the list won’t stop. It’s a trash game for the average Joe to feel like a superstar player in. But this is hailed as the “best launch SF” because they added a watered down Yakuza knock off as a game mode where you fight randomly generated NPCs and can dress your character to do dances in the battle hub with. Game is bad bro.
I’m master with 2 almost 3 characters as it is (Lily/Manon/Kim), and in the 1600s with 1 so don’t try me with some “git gud” either. I’m winning in this game with a 65% overall win rate. It’s garbage
@cosmic5681 It's a video game and the devs want to introduce SF to new people. Idgaf about git gud, its about getting people to buy the product and invest in the game.
If they didn't want new people Dynamic and Modern controls wouldn't exist. DR and DI is a mechanic you dont have to use at all despite most strings using it.
