Finally! A "beginner" video that starts me off at ground zero! Thank you so much for this concise and informative tutorial. Can't wait to watch the rest!
just starting out with Mainstage and have watched MANY videos on here about it and yours is really the best and makes it so much clearer than any I have watched - great job thanks
This is a fine tutorial. I opened mainstage for the first time tonight. I was utterly lost trying to get my keyboard connected to it. Can't thank you enough for making this video.
I absolutely agree you have the best main stage video I was ready to give up ....thanks so much on behalf of worship team we’re now rolling in the right direction
Thanks for the great tutorials. I am a guitar player and was completely lost when it came to understanding how to set up and use MainStage. I bought a midi controller and followed your videos and now I understand so much more. Thanks.
I am so happy I found your video on main stage. it is helping me to understand how to integrate the software with my advance 61. really really appreciate your content. might have some questions hope you can help
Well that would have been great had you given a few trouble shooting tips in case your keyboard didn't work....I've got a very common Roland RD 800 and the keyboard worked and finally got the sliders to work but the control knobs didn't respond no matter what I did
Does Mainstage come with LPX 10.4? I bought Logic 10 years ago on discs that I still have that included Mainstage. I recently purchased Komplete Kontrol and I would like to use Mainstage for my live performances.
Great video but you didn’t show us how to set up the functions for the “panic button” and the “tap tempo button”. I’ve assigned them to drum pads but you didn’t explain how to assign those two different functions
I have a Yamaha P-125. Can that be hooked up to accommodate Mainstage? The P-125 doesn’t have levers that can be mapped to the dials on Mainstage....is that an issue?
Hi🤗, can I ask? I have a problem with sustain pedal. When I hold sustain pedal ,everything works but when I let go the sustain pedal some instruments like strings or pads... Except for piano they sound further as if I kept holding the sustain pedal only the piano doesn't sound any further. Help me please🙏!
As an old-timer guitarist just venturing into soft synths, these tutorials are very helpful. Nice work and thanks so much!.....Any recommendations on a midi controller? Do you like your Akai?
High Jerron, I’m using the Yamaha Portable Grand DGX230, I don’t have all the volume faders and such that you are using. Do you have any suggestions as how to set up this this type keyboard! I believe there is only one master volume control. Any advice would be appreciated!
Hey Jerry! With a keyboard that only has one master volume slider, you can only use one of the parameters that are linked to volume (I would highly suggest mapping it to master volume). However, check out Korg Nanokontrol 2 if you're looking at getting some sliders. It's super affordable and a perfect way to set up the volume controls for your patches. Hope this helps!
Jerron, thank you very much for this very informative video! I have a Yamaha PSR-E453 and want to dive into Mainstage. May I ask if I am correct in my assumption that I can use that keyboard as my midi controller and just get that Korg Nanokontrol 2 as my slider controls? I also have a Mac. Thanks and looking forward to hear from you soon!
hey, you have a good tutorial on the mainstage 3 and i was wondering if you can help me out on mine. the audio wont come out, i have tried w two different keyboards but mainstage doensnt recognize it. it just says i have to connect to a midi control but its already connected w the computer.
Hey Machic! Make sure your keyboard(s) are connected in the layout tab. If it doesn't recognize your keyboard there, go to preferences>midi> and make sure your keyboard is recognized there. Hope this helps!
I liked you video. It’s great. But you say ‘Ammm Ammm Ammm’ too many times. Literally almost after every sentence. Try not to say Ammm Amm too many times. Love your videos though.
You’re the best even in 2024 ❤. Thank you so much.
Without a doubt, the best and clearest tutorial on TH-cam. I set it up flawlessly and was drunk the entire time.
