Hi DIY! I just wanted to say that I love your videos! I used one of your videos to decide what planner I was going to use this year, and it helped a lot! I hope that you will keep making more planner vids and even some layouts too! Keep up the good work!
Hi great video? I bought a ring that was cheap so obviously the gold tarnished. But I grew to love the ring so I want to keep it. Do you think If I use this pen to colour it up again do you think it is a good idea. Also the materials of the ring are Brass, Gold and Pewter. If I have to put a protective spray what would that do? And what one would u recommend. Thank you for the video btw very informative 👑✨❤️
Thanks for your nice comments! The paint will most likely wear off and if you look at the safety data sheets, it would not be ok for skin contact like that. Good luck! And thanks for being here with us! ❤️
Thanks for the video. I tried using this on the wall to give a gold border to my wall mural. Unfortunately, the lines are not smooth. And sometimes the ink doesn’t flow through the tip. Could this be due to gravity? Any tips on how can I draw smooth lines on the wall. Thank you.
These paint pens are challenging for drawing smooth lines. You might want to try a different brand with gold inks like these ones here: th-cam.com/video/AxC_gmu6Wfc/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for making this video! I'm thinking of applying this paint on my jewelry. But I'm wondering if I will need to apply a primer and a topcoat/sealer...? How have your jewelry held up after using this paint?
@@DIYCraftClub - No problem, just be aware it's a bit dimmer than the Krylon, but it's got a better flow for calligraphy. The Decocolor Gold Pen and Decocolor Gold Leaf Pen are even more reflective than Krylon if that's your aim, and they have a nice writing flow too. Just some extra options to consider. Edit: Spelling error
I don't know ..... a lot liquid gold media LOOK like actual gold plating on jewelry, until you try to use them to conceal scratches and plating chips on jewelry, even with perfect color matching. What makes it stick out like a sore thumb is the glittery metal flecks. No matter how tiny they may be, they jump out next to a gold finish without any. And I mean they can be so tiny that you don't think they're there if you just paint on paper.
They will paint on any surface but the paint will eventually wear off if it's something that is being washed. If adding accents to an already fired piece, yes it works great. Do you make ceramics?

Could I use this on metal without a primer?
Kinda random but would this work well on serrated metal? I wanted to paint a few front sights on my handguns! Loved the video BTW
Thanks for your nice comment, Krylon does say on their website that it will work on metal but we have never tried metal. Thanks!

This will rub off eventually without a protective coating. :)
@@DIYCraftClub anything you've come across that would last longer? Or would a layer of clear coat be okay? Wanting to make a seashell necklace. Tia 🥰
Hi, does this work on plastic or styrene? Thsnks
Hi! It will work on plastic and not sure about the styrene. Have not tried that before. Maybe someone who has will comment on that. Thanks!
If you want the same gold foil effect for lettering, then the Artline Calligraphy Pen might be your best bet.
Thanks for that tip! ♡ ♥💕❤😘

do you need to varnish your painting before using the 18 gold leafing pen? The same with rose gold leafing pen??
This is permanent so it will be ok after varnishing. Check out our blog for more helpful tutorials www.diycraftclub.com

Yes, can see how the color would not be a perfect match on jewelry. Thanks for your comment.

Which other gold marker/pen are best to be used on canvas and resin coaster?
Hello der. Lovely video. Thanks. I wanted to ask if it can be used on fabric and is it smudge proof and waterproof

wow amazing! thank you for the review! Can I ask what is the transparent-brightness thing that have the bird at 2:32 ? nice effect!

@@DIYCraftClub i found the answer 😊
I wonder if it would work on quilt fabric and stay permanent with washing.
That is a good question! If we find out the answer for you, will post it here. Have a great day!
Nice vid!! I have a quesstion: is the Krylon Gold Leafing Pen useful for ceramic work? I mean is it dishwater safe after oven process?
Good question! We've never tested it for that but if we do, we will let you know!
Very helpful, thanks. May I ask the tip thickness in mm? Thanks x
We tried to look for the measurements but could not find them sorry.
Did you try on fabric?
Can you use on fabric?
Yes, but eventually it will wash out. (After many washes though)
Does it work for fabric?
It will draw on any surface but not sure of how it will stay after it's washed. We have never tested it on fabric. Thanks!

It sure does! And if you go over acrylic paints in different sections, it really stands out great. Please subscribe for more vids :)
Is this good for resin ? Is it permanent paint?
Yes, we use it all the time for resin. Keep watch because we are filming the best golds for resin and this is one of the items in that video :)

Hmm not really sure abou that. But it's really hard to get off anything once it is dried...if we do a test we'll let you know!
Do you think it would work on fabric?
Yes, but it will not come out and will bleed through most fabrics.
