This is my video search parameter: DJI, Avata 2, First Manual Flight, Fly manual, Learn to fly manual, and similar terms. That transition is the difference between crawling and walk/jog/running. I have NO IDEA what that admittedly major step will entail, but I complicate it further with an aversion to the simulator. I understand the immense value of gaining muscle memory, eye/hand coordination, learning to react to specific physics affecting the aircraft, and REPETITION. I just don't particularly like simulators. At all. The more exposure to them, the stronger my aversion. Good manual flight skills ARE MY GOAL. EVERYTHING else is in support of that goal. I got a 3 battery Avata 2 Fly More Combo AND a DJI FPV Controller 3 up front. Having exactly ZERO% FPV skills & experience, the Controller 3 will be living in it's little box for a while, weeks certainly, possibly months (probably somewhere in between) Now I start. Put time in, every day, Develop GOOD skills, squash bad ones. Been flying camera drones a while, 5,870 hours, and all of that helps me not a whit, I expect. Doing everything in the real world vs. simulator probably means a lot of care refresh shipments, since I can't afford a stack of functional aircraft to keep me flying. If anyone has practical advice, I humbly thank you in advance.
I bought the DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo pack it's fantastic experience right from the box to the sky wow as this video said it flys super stable and flys far so plan out your long distance retrievel plan. The quality is fantastic, I used the DJI App to buy directly from forbidden China 🇨🇳....unfortunately DJI is getting Band in North America soon very unfortunate.
I have $8,000 in DJI drones, & even though they are considering banning them, I'm buying the Avata 2 Monday. If they are banned, all the second hand DJI drones value, will absolutely skyrocket.
Looks like a big improvement on the first avata which I gave miss. For the price with 3 batteries and googles 3/charger hub + bag decided to order one too although that controller 3 had to get order seperatly as needed for manual and they did not bundle it in too. At least nobody complained so far about its props falling appart in manual mode unlike the first avata but certainly although maybe not as fast as a home build or their first FPV at least it is more crash resistant from what I've seen. Look forward to playing with it although never used that motion controller yet not even with their FPV drone but will give that a go this time too.
Really great Review and good points, it's Controller RC3 and you can use The Avata 2 with RC2 after latest firmware, also really great colors on your video but the video is a bit choppy which makes the viewer focus on that at times Keep the good review coming.
Yooo I just randomly found your channel and I'm not gonna lie if I say that it was the best Avata 2 review by far. I've seen many of them, but this one just goes straight to the point, including personal opinion on the drone + some suggestions. Good luck, man, great job!😎🥂
Hello there, I’ve just bought one of those with the motion controller and when I press the mode switch button it does not go to sports mode. i am sure I turned off the beginners mode I double triple checked. Is there something else to unlock or does my motion controller have defect? Before someone comes to tell, I know you need to press once to switch to sports and press and hold to rth. Whatever I do with that button just doesn’t happen, the button doesn’t even beep like the other buttons
Seems with the release of the Avata 2 there is a mad rush on extra batteries! It’s so far taken going on nearly a month. The demand is huge it seems. The hype for it is warranted, cuz I’m one of them now! Thanks for the great posts!
Why does all your drone footage look so choppy? It looks like every few frames it stutters. It is very noticeable at around 6:55 for instance. Any clue? I have a similar issue with my mavic 3 classic when filming 5k.
far is not enough dude, cause still have limited not at the distance, but altitude limit is my big issue.. i like to fly to the top of mountain, and i can't do with Avata.. even if flight time longer than traditional fpv, again limit 500m alt is not enough. this is great drone btw if you're not fly like me.. maybe in the future when i need drone to fly indors or doing cinematic i'll pick Avata 2 in my first list. Salam dari Indonesia 🇲🇨🤙🏽
You mentioned the scratches but then you showed the camera protector? Did you not take that off for the flight? Also do you mean the FPV Remote Controller 3 and not V2 as that was the old controller. The newest one is V3? As an aside the FPV Controller V2 IS actually compatible with the Avata 2 if you update all the firmwares on them.
This is my first FPV as well, glad I did it!
just got one yesterdat, best purchase of my life, im really excited to get into fpv photography
Nice video thank you!! Isn't that the controller 3 not 2 though?

Great video, Judson. IDo you recommend this DJI Avata 2 FPV for a beginner?
Yes, absolutely

Welcome aboard!
Very cool opinion! congrats!
I bought the DJI FPV after buying the Avata 2 a couple of months ago and prefer the FPV for whatever reason. The camera is fine 😆
Wooow. Insane video bro. Keep it up 💪🏼

Just Shoot in 4k 60 FPS and make sure your shutter speeds are matching, there's a lot of good videos on here that can thoroughly explain this.

Fpv controller 3
I bought the controller 2 based on this video. It wouldn't connect for me. A bit of research afterwards led me to the 3.
Thank you for clarification. Some people online are saying the controller 2 works with the avata 2. Will def be getting an controller 3
You will get 100k subscribers soon. Could not tell the difference between you and a page with half a mil

Although this is a drone review, the video shot with the drone catches my eye more. I enjoyed the good video!
Nice review ! thank you man
Thanks for watching!
💪
Are we able to buy one with the DJI Ban in progress?
Yes. All previous songs are still legal
also think it shoots 4k @ 100 fps
Its FPV controller 3 not 2.
That was my bad
