That's just great, Jake! I've been going back and forth with my decision to get this thing. You dropped this review exactly ten minutes after I decided to get the insta 360 Ace Pro. It's all good. I'll eventually get it anyway. Great review!!!
I have zero FPV experience and I really like operating my Avata 2. Briiliant fun. Most of the time I am in normal mode. A goal is to get to manual mode in the future. I have the controller 3 on order, and a simulator program is ready to go!
Thank you so much for the video Jake. Can you please tell me how you took the vehicle sky drop shot at 0:30? was it with Normal Mode or Manual Mode? it was beautiful.
Great in-depth overview Jake. It was impressive to see the example shots of the Avata 2 and the Raptor, and how close you got them from a color grade perspective. Very cool to see your daughter flying with the motion controller. I’ve been trying to get my son to do the same 😅 but he hates drones because I always make them wait in the car while I fly lol. Agree on the goggles camera being pointless. Great video 🎉
Solid vid! Always appreciate your insight. Been working in video production for the last 13 years and starting to get into aerial production. Currently have a mavic 3 pro and considering an avata for fpv and interior work. Thoughts on going this route versus building a custom? Pricing seems to almost even out minus getting an action cam for a custom.
I think if you haven’t gone down the FPV rabbit hole then I’d definitely recommend going this route. It’s a super solid setup to start with and especially for what you want to do
@@JakeSloan Haven't gone too deep yet! I do have a Boxer remote already that I've been using in the simulator. Still very early in the aerial journey and see lots of benefits with learning to fly FPV in tandem with GPS drones. Love the content and seeing it in practice in my industry and where this could take me down here in Texas!
You are going the right way but I would wait just a few months. rumors are there is a new drone coming like the mini but with built in propellor guards, so wait and see what that drone is like
I ordered one yesterday (11/18/24) and have been watching a slew of videos. I'm excited to get it and learn to fly it. But winter is coming and flying can be uncomfortable with frozen fingers. 😂
thank you for explaining the remote id function i had the avata 1 and did nott like having to plug my phone in every time it wore out the plug port on the goggles. I just ordered the avata 2 :)
I bought one. I only did a test hover indoors and am yet to try it outside. It flies well enough but what I noticed is that motors heat up a bit more than I am used to from my micro fpv quads and other mavics. It doesn’t heat up to the point where I can’t have my hand pinching it and fhere isn’t like a motor thats noticeably heating more than others but still I’d like to ask if I should be worried or is it just cuz thats a heavy drone and I am trying to hover close to walls and ground
I do hope with the Avata 3 they make them stronger and easier to repair. Love my Avata 2, the repair ability really went into the toilet from upgrading the OG Avata.
Speaking of Ducted props presenting some weaknesses, dynamically - I saw a video the other day where a guy clipped the ducts right the hell off. Interesting and the resulting performance was more dynamic than anyone expected, I think. Is that a practical move? Well, no. That's absolutely obvious, and expected. But as an experiment, and as a demonstration of how much power, performance and wind resistance can be regained, it was a complete success. Now we need a way to TEMPORARILY remove and replace the ducts. lol. That's not a thing, but could make for a fun "multi-faceted" drone... Speaking of WIND, apparently Avata 2 drops out of Manual mode if it's getting blown about by the wind.
Great video. Researching my first FPV drone and still stuck. I don't do commercial work as such, more event type stuff and music videos + just wanting to do some cinematic stuff, maybe light acro just for fun. Having used DJI camera gimbals for years. Avata 2 was my first stop. It seems to do most of that. An acquaintance dived waterfalls etc so it seemed to be able to probably more than I need it too. At least for the first 12 months or so. Also the longer flight time per battery is a bonus. Bit more research, finding a bit of hate for DJI when others have asked this question and the contender is the GepRC Cinelog 35 v2, especially since you can now use the Goggles 3 with O3 units. It seems to have a bit more kick and is a bit more agile, while still not really built for acro. The extra cost for needed a GoPro is offset by the fact I can use it for non-drone scenarios. I hear these are louder though and not sure if they can hover. Google is not giving me great results on that front. Any insight on the A2 vs the CL35?
I haven’t seen or flown the CL35 so I can’t really comment about it. The avata2 is capable of acro but most the hate come from people who are used the performance and power of a 5” ductless drone. I wouldn’t hesitate to use it in all the use cases you describe. It’s an extremely fun drone to just fly as well. Personally I think the image quality is slightly better than GoPro when you use d-log m
@@JakeSloan Thank you for that fast reply. Appreciate it. Yeah wouldn't consider shooting in anything but log, so I was happy when I saw that. The wind issue has me a bit worried though, during the summer out here in Sydney, Aus I do photo/video on harbour cruise party boats, can get a bit windy. People say crashing is not a if but a when with FPV and the repairability of the Avata is pretty poor. With the GepRC I can just buy pro guards etc and its all carbon fiber and metal on the body. Ugh still stuck, everytime I talk to someone or watch another video I am just flip flopping. Thank you again for the reply. Seeing the footage of the skiers pushed me towards Avata 2 again.
Yeah had to get one. Couldn't help myself but I don't regret it I love it. I love it a lot. If i had to choose between missus or drone I'll take drone every time
Really awesome video Jake & now I’m stuck between the DJI mavic mini 4 (with googles) and the Avata 2. How bad would the wind effect be? And I’m not a real power / fast flyer; do you know if the battery could be stretched on the Avata 2? Thanks tons!!!
The battery can’t be stretched much. Personally I would get more use out of the mini 4. But if you just want to have fun and get the immersive feeling of flying then definitely get the avata 2
I don't know what to buy mini 4k, neo, or avata 2. I like avata 2 for my first drone, but the problem is i don't like the goggles and some of it's accessories.
GREAT VIDEO, so I’m a drone pilot, mostly flying regular quads, but I’ve noticed that my 3.5-inch quad handles the wind better than the Avata. When it comes to the Avata, I see two perspectives: the video captured by the Air Unit, which looks stunning, and the live feed in the goggles, which, in my opinion, is TRASH The feed in the goggles feels shaky, and wind effects seem exaggerated-much more noticeable compared to flying regular quads. This isn’t something I usually deal with. I’m curious-what does your goggles feed look like while flying the Avata? Am I doing something wrong, or is this a common experience?
Not sure how i missed this a few weeks ago. My Avata 1 is sitting on a shelf above me collecting dust but I do like to get it out now and then and give myself a microdose of motion sickness hehehe. I would like to fly the 2 sometime.. Glad i waited until they updated the controllers that can be used.. Definitely agree with what you said about using it within its use cases. I use mine for large warehouse commercial shoots. How is the lowlight on the new little sensor? I know its non existent on my Avata 1
Is this drone too much for a 70 year old newbie who is looking to keep track of poachers and for general security? Would the Neo be the better purchase? (with goggles and a motion controller)
What I would really like to see is a video about someone that has flown the avata 2 with the goggles and controller 3 and then fly the same avata 2 with the goggles and controller 2. This would be to see if there is any difference in the performance of the aircraft alone while using either set of goggles and controllers.
Is there any addons we can buy to makebsignal between the drone and headset stronger.. just ordered this ajd now seen alot of comments avout signal loss if using in places with obstacles. Cheers
Thank you for another great video! You addressed a few points I haven't heard from any other TH-camr. With that said, despite hearing about all the positive points, I hope I'm not being unfair when I say that the analytical balance tilted a bit to the negative side. It got me a bit worried because I only have a DJI Mini 3 Pro (plus the Integra Goggles and the Motion Controller 2) and was thinking about buying a DJI Avata 2 (drone only) for more dynamic videos and a few beginner / low-level jobs like small to medium weddings (ex: in August I will have a wedding where I am supposed to follow a car, follow a boat, fly inside the wedding tent).
the avata 2 would work great for that and it now works with the integra goggles and motion controller you already have so you don't need to buy the whole kit!
@@JakeSloan Thank you. I decided to buy it yesterday. I still need to understand if I can use the Easy Acro with the MC2 or not (conflicting pieces of information on this topic). I hope so.
I just bought avata 2 and planning to do a job for indoor house tour. I found its so hard to fly with low light and also the normal mode with fpv rc 3 is way to fast Please make an update for avata 2 for gain and expo for normal or enable beginenr mode for smoother and slower indoor drone control

So far I'm really happy with My Avata 2. It's a solid acro trainer. My only complaint is the goggles compatibility. They have been out for nearly 4 months and are still not compatible with any other FPV systems.
Have the Avata 2 and Mini 4 Pro What are your thoughts on the 3s or the Autel Robotics EVO II Pro V3? I am nervous about owning a DJI considering the climate. I heard that drones from Autel are made in the US or at least some components of them\.
I haven't used any of the Autel drones so I really can't say but they are still a Chinese company and will be affected by any bans as they have been proposed soooo that leaves us with very few options
At work I’ve used Autels Evo II, indoors honestly sucks. After turning off the safety features it Likes to drift a lot. Mind you it’s all around metal machines. Taking it outside though is amazing, screen is awesome very bright. Lasts a good while for what it is and it does take really good quality pictures and videos
Enjoyed the review Jake. I have 5 batteries for my Avata 2. I find that is the right mix to keep flying for an extended period while being able to charge batteries after they have cooled.
The avata2 is my first fpv drone and its been really fun. I for sure recommend the duct bumper guards as the thing is not really repairable. I'm suprised you didnt like the photos. I thought they were really good, but I am no pro. For me a really good thing is, compared to my mini 3 pro the video is a lot smoother with fast motion. my mini 3 pro has some ugly video with any fast motion. Great review Jake, i'm too scared to try manual yet.
i do most indoors and the avata2 does a decent job, paired with my air3 i do commercial stuff with them and they work fine, i propably get a 5” for fun freeflying when there is buyNfly’s out there that works with the goggles 3 and the RC3 ctrl.Great and informative video, thanks and cheers from 🇸🇪
Awesome video! I've been contemplating buying a drone to scout out some areas while I'm hiking specifically looking for areas like rattlesnake dens, reptile habitat, etc. Would you suggest this or something else? Thanks in advance!

your wrong about a couple things, just from viewing other video's, you said you can't take pictures, but you can, and you can't have level flight, which i think there is an option for that... or maybe someone did it in post production somehow, but they made it level somehow...
@@JakeSloan oh i guess not,,, sry,, but there is a horizon option that will keep the horizon level,, lookup Jeven Dovey's avata2 beginner guide, about 29 min in...

I'm pretty much new to drones, I've only had the The Mavic Pro 3 and became bored with it. At the time I almost bought the Avata it was a close choice. This time I am trading in my Mavis towards the Avata 2 and was pleasantly surprised they re giving me almost 50% off trade in towards the Avata 2. I will purchase the bumpers and the warranty. So we will see how it is tomorrow morning. Thanks for your review.
External cameras remind me of VR headsets, sometimes you want to just take a swig of your drink real quick without taking your headset off. The external camera lets you quick find it.
This Avata 2 seems like the fastest drone out there is it not, 36 mph? Looks incredibly fun with the goggles and motion controller, thanks for this great vid Jake! I want a drone for videoing a waterskier that will be towed by a boat going 34 mph. Only wish it had a chase/follow mode. Is there one that does and goes this fast?
The avata 2 is a 20-30% upgrade over the avata 1. It does takes pics. The only downsides to me is flying in windy conditions and its not built like a tank as the OG was.
Just got my avata 2. What's motion control? Never heard of her. Full manual is the only way to fly. It can rip acro surprisingly well. Tune those rates up
A few years ago I asked if I could have your mavic 3 and you said you were using it. Surely after the release of the air 3 you aren't still using it. Also great content! keep it up mate
Good review Jake! I have the Avata 1 and have used it on some commercial projects for some short clips. I recently used it for the interior of a 750,000/sf new distribution building. I wasn't super happy with the footage quality but the client loved it so that's what matters. Also, without a GPS lock, the flight log data was not recorded to the iPhone DJI Fly app which was odd. Do you know if this is normal when you don't have a GPS lock? Not a big deal but I use AIRDATA for logging my flights and this one did not show up. I even manually looked for the file in the IOS, but it was not there. I'll sell mine and get the Avata 2 soon for some of the reasons you mentioned and the better video quality.
interesting on the GPS lock issues, I wasn't paying attention to mine when I did the warehouse fly throughs. but the video quality is a significant upgrade from the avata 1
The only sad part is that the "real" controller doesent include in the package what i am watching :) Love your filming Jake, that is stunning stuff you are doing :)
2 weeks ago i had 0 drones, i bought a mini 3 and reaslised it wasnt the type i wanted so i got the neo and its fun but now i got the avata 2 and its insane
It does take pic's. The touch pad is still there. The same strap battery holder I use for my Avata 1 and FPV drone works just find if I need it. I've never killed a Batt on my Goggles. I needed 6 Bat to keep up with pep at the R/C flying events I go to when using my DJI FPV.
I think you might be referring to the avata 1. the avata 2 touch pad is gone and does not have an interchangeable strap or removable battery on the goggles
@@JakeSloan If you double tap the side of the goggles it turns on those cameras that would be touch. I have an aftermarket made battery holder that clips on to any headband which means it will clip on to the headband and hold itself to the side of my head while the C cable comes out from that battery into the C port of the goggles I'm wearing thereby charging them simultaneously while they're running. I'm truck driver and I'll be out for a week the only thing I brought with me is the one drone but I'll see what I can do about working up a video if I remember when I go home. But I do have enough video showing the gear of course the gear is on the older drone but you can see how it can be used still on the newer one.
@@JakeSloan I just finished driving for the day so I pulled out the drone to check what I could. If you press and hold the record button on the controller right hand side it will beep twice and if you look in the goggles you'll see the icon of a camera not a video camera. It will take a picture every time you press the button at this point. But you have to do it before you take off. I was just sitting in my truck when I checked so I don't know if it will change in flight. Crashed my avata 1 in a river by Denali, definitely looking for a range extender for the avata 2
dang!
That's just great, Jake! I've been going back and forth with my decision to get this thing. You dropped this review exactly ten minutes after I decided to get the insta 360 Ace Pro. It's all good. I'll eventually get it anyway. Great review!!!
hahahahahaha still awesome.Cheers
You won’t regret it, love mine
I have zero FPV experience and I really like operating my Avata 2. Briiliant fun. Most of the time I am in normal mode. A goal is to get to manual mode in the future. I have the controller 3 on order, and a simulator program is ready to go!
awesome!
Thank you so much for the video Jake. Can you please tell me how you took the vehicle sky drop shot at 0:30? was it with Normal Mode or Manual Mode? it was beautiful.
that was definitely manual mode! Flew up very high and then dove down timing it with the car movement
with the avata there was a tumbling usue.. is that resolved? (sertain speed and cornering)
it has been resolved with the Avata 2
@@JakeSloan i dint said 2 because a isumed you knew i was talking about 2 .. so there was never a issue with the 2 ?
É daquelas câmeras que torce o horizonte, tem como desativar isso? e ele tem a função de seguir a pessoa ou o controle?
No on both questions
Hello. Who can Help me to use m'y dji avatar 2? Please?
Here: th-cam.com/video/b5xetP_gs_o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sSGC4lkrGUt-9ujJ
i have had mine for about 3 weeks and love it. only downside is the batt life. 12-14 mins. make sure you get extra!
agreed
Great in-depth overview Jake. It was impressive to see the example shots of the Avata 2 and the Raptor, and how close you got them from a color grade perspective. Very cool to see your daughter flying with the motion controller. I’ve been trying to get my son to do the same 😅 but he hates drones because I always make them wait in the car while I fly lol. Agree on the goggles camera being pointless. Great video 🎉
ROLF yeah my kids roll their eyes at me a lot when I stop and pull the drone out... Thanks Eddie!
Can you update the home location on the fly?
I believe you can but I haven't ever tried lol
You are going the right way but I would wait just a few months. rumors are there is a new drone coming like the mini but with built in propellor guards, so wait and see what that drone is like
I ordered the Nvata 2 the other day. Should be delivered tomorrow. I'm new to drones, and I'm hoping the avata 2 is a great starter for fpv
awesome
I ordered one yesterday (11/18/24) and have been watching a slew of videos. I'm excited to get it and learn to fly it. But winter is coming and flying can be uncomfortable with frozen fingers. 😂
What is it like at night. Like cities shots etc?
it's ok but not great
thank you for explaining the remote id function i had the avata 1 and did nott like having to plug my phone in every time it wore out the plug port on the goggles. I just ordered the avata 2 :)
Awesome enjoy!
I bought one. I only did a test hover indoors and am yet to try it outside. It flies well enough but what I noticed is that motors heat up a bit more than I am used to from my micro fpv quads and other mavics. It doesn’t heat up to the point where I can’t have my hand pinching it and fhere isn’t like a motor thats noticeably heating more than others but still I’d like to ask if I should be worried or is it just cuz thats a heavy drone and I am trying to hover close to walls and ground
it's a solid drone!
Not sue if it was mentioned, but what kind of distance can you get before losing connection?
I don't do distance tests as the drones are now able to go FAR beyond visual line of sight
Question: I have the Mini 3 PRO. Am I able to use my controller from my Mini 3 for the Avata 2 ?
no the avata 2 uses it's own controller and goggles
Another quick question. I wear glasses. Do you think the googles would fit comfortably over my glasses?
If your glasses are small frames yes otherwise I would look at the new goggles DJI just released.
I do hope with the Avata 3 they make them stronger and easier to repair. Love my Avata 2, the repair ability really went into the toilet from upgrading the OG Avata.
I hope so too.
I saw that too! looks very interesting
Does it have collision avoidance? I didn't watch the whole video..
no it does not
Hi, can you use the DJI Avata 2 with the FPV Controller 2 and look trough the goggles 3? Thanks!
That I am not sure about, I know recently they added some compatibility but I don't know about that specific combination
@@JakeSloan nope
Yeah had to get one. Couldn't help myself but I don't regret it I love it. I love it a lot. If i had to choose between missus or drone I'll take drone every time
it's a LOT of fun to fly
Do you have to register this one?
yes you do
is it able to track you ? ( for MTB for example ? )
No it’s not
Thanks for the video, we currently fly two Air 3's, debating whether or not we need an FPV
You're welcome
Props to that mic. That wind looks like a nightmare.
it was STRONG lol
Really awesome video Jake & now I’m stuck between the DJI mavic mini 4 (with googles) and the Avata 2. How bad would the wind effect be? And I’m not a real power / fast flyer; do you know if the battery could be stretched on the Avata 2? Thanks tons!!!
The battery can’t be stretched much. Personally I would get more use out of the mini 4. But if you just want to have fun and get the immersive feeling of flying then definitely get the avata 2
@ Thanks so much!
If you're by yourself can you a video selfie, if you will, where it can follow you? Can you make it circle around you too?
This does not have any of those kinds of features
I don't know what to buy mini 4k, neo, or avata 2.
I like avata 2 for my first drone, but the problem is i don't like the goggles and some of it's accessories.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Neo for a first drone
GREAT VIDEO, so I’m a drone pilot, mostly flying regular quads, but I’ve noticed that my 3.5-inch quad handles the wind better than the Avata. When it comes to the Avata, I see two perspectives: the video captured by the Air Unit, which looks stunning, and the live feed in the goggles, which, in my opinion, is TRASH
The feed in the goggles feels shaky, and wind effects seem exaggerated-much more noticeable compared to flying regular quads. This isn’t something I usually deal with.
I’m curious-what does your goggles feed look like while flying the Avata? Am I doing something wrong, or is this a common experience?
no that's quite common, I have just learned to deal with it lol. my custom build FPV rigs all fly smoother as well.
I know its non existent on my Avata 1
the low light on the avata 2 is definitely better than the avata 1 was
Is this drone too much for a 70 year old newbie who is looking to keep track of poachers and for general security? Would the Neo be the better purchase? (with goggles and a motion controller)
You could definitely do it with this. Very easy.
What I would really like to see is a video about someone that has flown the avata 2 with the goggles and controller 3 and then fly the same avata 2 with the goggles and controller 2. This would be to see if there is any difference in the performance of the aircraft alone while using either set of goggles and controllers.
That would be interesting to see
Is there any addons we can buy to makebsignal between the drone and headset stronger.. just ordered this ajd now seen alot of comments avout signal loss if using in places with obstacles. Cheers
there isn't anything that will help with signal of there are obstacles between you and the drone
I found its so hard to fly with low light and also the normal mode with fpv rc 3 is way to fast
Please make an update for avata 2 for gain and expo for normal or enable beginenr mode for smoother and slower indoor drone control
I will have to see if I can do that

So far I'm really happy with My Avata 2. It's a solid acro trainer. My only complaint is the goggles compatibility.
They have been out for nearly 4 months and are still not compatible with any other FPV systems.
agreed
NICE, that's kinda what I suspected for continuous flights
The avata2 is my first fpv drone and its been really fun. I for sure recommend the duct bumper guards as the thing is not really repairable. I'm suprised you didnt like the photos. I thought they were really good, but I am no pro. For me a really good thing is, compared to my mini 3 pro the video is a lot smoother with fast motion. my mini 3 pro has some ugly video with any fast motion. Great review Jake, i'm too scared to try manual yet.
Thanks Tom!
i do most indoors and the avata2 does a decent job, paired with my air3 i do commercial stuff with them and they work fine, i propably get a 5” for fun freeflying when there is buyNfly’s out there that works with the goggles 3 and the RC3 ctrl.Great and informative video, thanks and cheers from 🇸🇪
Nice and good plan! Cheers
Awesome video!!
Thanks
You are the man, Jake
Thanks!
Awesome video! I've been contemplating buying a drone to scout out some areas while I'm hiking specifically looking for areas like rattlesnake dens, reptile habitat, etc. Would you suggest this or something else? Thanks in advance!
NICE, I would use a mini 4 pro for something like that
Great Video! I am friends with Original DoBo too! Live in Florida too! Just got the Avatar 2. First time flying FPV. A entirely different experience. After a week, still using the hand controller, although I have the Controller 3. Need to go up to see Ken in order to get a little instruction.
Very cool!
I like it,,,very honest review,,,hopefully someday i can buy 1.
I hope so too!
I wish dji would offer the avata 2 alone deal. They removed that option from their website. Now they only offer large package deals.
that would be nice, I wish they would offer most their drones as a stand alone purchase option
Thanks, Jake! This was a great video for exactly me!
awesome glad to hear it
your wrong about a couple things, just from viewing other video's, you said you can't take pictures, but you can, and you can't have level flight, which i think there is an option for that... or maybe someone did it in post production somehow, but they made it level somehow...
You didn’t bother to read the pinned comment before telling me I was wrong did you 😉
@@JakeSloan oh i guess not,,, sry,, but there is a horizon option that will keep the horizon level,, lookup Jeven Dovey's avata2 beginner guide, about 29 min in...
Yeah there is an option to take photos and it can level the horizon but in the end this is not a photo centric drone
@@JakeSloan yeah, i don't even know if it will work on manual,,, i got one but i'm going to let my nephew fly it first,,, cause i know i'll crash it,, lol...
Does it have a follow me mode Jake ?
No it has not real “smart” features.
where are the clips from? that place looks beautiful
from Nevada California and Alaska
Hey Jake great video . The 04 unit is sweet. Big improvement on the avata . Thinking of getting cinbot 35. Hope your still flying fpv and all is well
Thanks! I still love flying FPV for sure
Perfect timing, good review. I am currently looking into buying one because of the option to have a drone that is heavier than 250g but still in c1 class in europe...
awesome
Indoor fly throughs are great but I’d be nervous using it in manual mode in a tight indoor space like a house etc
yeah for super tight spaces you would probably want to stay in normal mode
U have any extra drones u don’t use ?
not at the moment lol
I'm pretty much new to drones, I've only had the The Mavic Pro 3 and became bored with it. At the time I almost bought the Avata it was a close choice. This time I am trading in my Mavis towards the Avata 2 and was pleasantly surprised they re giving me almost 50% off trade in towards the Avata 2. I will purchase the bumpers and the warranty. So we will see how it is tomorrow morning. Thanks for your review.
Have fun!
Are the goggles digital?
yes
I’m trying to convince my parents to get me something like this and this video really helps with proving points so thanks! Haha
Glad I could help!
External cameras remind me of VR headsets, sometimes you want to just take a swig of your drink real quick without taking your headset off. The external camera lets you quick find it.
yeah it does
This Avata 2 seems like the fastest drone out there is it not, 36 mph? Looks incredibly fun with the goggles and motion controller, thanks for this great vid Jake! I want a drone for videoing a waterskier that will be towed by a boat going 34 mph. Only wish it had a chase/follow mode. Is there one that does and goes this fast?
There are no drones that track at those speeds at the moment unfortunately
The avata 2 is a 20-30% upgrade over the avata 1. It does takes pics. The only downsides to me is flying in windy conditions and its not built like a tank as the OG was.
100% agree
I bought the fly more combo but have not opened it yet because it will be a Christmas Gift. Still in original packaging
Nice
Why did the MUSIC GET SO LOUD when I want to hear what you're saying?
because I wasn't talking though most the music
Just got my avata 2. What's motion control? Never heard of her. Full manual is the only way to fly. It can rip acro surprisingly well. Tune those rates up
Agreed!! But on acro it’s still underpowered imo
A few years ago I asked if I could have your mavic 3 and you said you were using it. Surely after the release of the air 3 you aren't still using it. Also great content! keep it up mate
LOL yes I still use it a lot. cheers
@@JakeSloan I have been trying to persuade my dad to get me a drone since 2018. Any tips? He keeps asking me what a use case for it will be.
@@ZachNintendo-gw7hb Get a job.
Hi Jake can i use the phantom 4 controller with the Avata2 drone?
no the avata 2 only works with the controller 2 or 3
Good review Jake!
The only sad part is that the "real" controller doesent include in the package what i am watching :) Love your filming Jake, that is stunning stuff you are doing :)
yeah I was disappointed that I had to purchase it separately
Im thinking of buying one because right now im using my old NOT fpv drone and its really fun so im getting serious about it
nice!
2 weeks ago i had 0 drones, i bought a mini 3 and reaslised it wasnt the type i wanted so i got the neo and its fun but now i got the avata 2 and its insane
awesome!
@@JakeSloan
If you double tap the side of the goggles it turns on those cameras that would be touch.
@@JakeSloan
I just finished driving for the day so I pulled out the drone to check what I could. Giving you a video of how to set up a battery on the goggles we'll have to wait until I go home Saturday if I remember. But if you send me a reminder I'll get it to you
@@JakeSloan Great video Jake, I'm still researching but I thought one video I watched on the DJI website showed that it does take photos. Copied a few specs from the website with hopes that the DJI Avata 2 can take photos.

all dji FPV drones do that, but they are the ONLY FPV drones that do. I think you thought I was saying the opposite
@@JakeSloan I think I understand I’m just confused as to how anyone would make that work. I find myself needing to constantly readjust my pitch to see what’s happening at different times. I’d be so frustrated if I had to meet a stipulation in order to do that. lol
Thanks Jake, I have been thinking about adding it to my collection but still considering that I only have X amount of time get get the Mavic 3 Pro footage and then send out another drone just for a different shot has me still thinking but but definitely got the cogs going in my brain, thanks 🙂
lol I hope it helps
Well explained 👍🏾
Glad you think so!
Great reviews and great footage sample. I really like mine.
Thanks me too!
The biggest issue I had with the Avata 1 is the image quality, so putting the same sensor as the mini 4 is a big deal.
yeah this is a big upgrade in that regard
Nice video frontal am expert perspective. For a beginners point of view, kind of disappointing.
Most of the cons you mentioned are actually pros for me (again, beginner).
Thanks any way.
awesome I'm glad to hear this video helped you!!
Just bought one first drone never flew anything it's charging right now I wanted a mavic pro but thought I'd start with this
Good place to start!
Dont know where you got your info from but the avata 2 will absolutely take pictures .
see the correction...
My only concern is that a powerful transmitter in front of your frontal lobe doesn’t do any good!
You are stepping over the line with this technology
ok then
I cannot believe DJI are still preventing users going into manual with the, Dugs Wille Stick😮
