My friend bought a newer Stingray Corvette thinking he would get girls, but all that car attracted was old men who would come up and kick his tires, complimenting the car 😂
That is a #1 truth! Bought myself a Pontiac Trans Am Convertible in the early 2000's. Didn't buy it for the girls...but truth is that all the guys love the look of that car. All the guys want to kick the tires and talk specs...the old guys want to tell me about their 1960s model. Women? Meh....love that it's a convertible, but that's about it. But, as Dave said....I bought the car for me...not to impress anyone else! I liked the car...I liked the look of it, the sound of it and the feel of it...didn't care if anyone else did or not. Still own that car today (20 years)....and it's still a great car - I still love it!....and I still don't care if anyone else does or not.
Cars are boy toys. The only thing women get out of the car, is whether the guy has money or not. I always wondered why men never get that. I've seen some guys trying to look impressive with their cars. I don't know what they expected from me, because I'm car illiterate.

Dave is spot on, wait til you got a quality lady before buying anything nice if that's the goal. Plus saving for the house is financially the better option
It’s not easy finding a quality lady, but when you do, you keep her. I met my wife when I was driving a 94 Honda Civic EX coupe back in 2019. We just got married last year and now I’m driving a 2002 Lexus IS300, one of my childhood dream cars.
"If a woman is gonna come to you because of the car you drive, you're not getting much of a woman." -🤣 One of the best lines I've ever heard on TH-cam!!!!
Very true. I’m surprised guys still think this way because it’s that frame of mind and type of woman they attract can lead the way to being used,a lot of debt, and possibly ending up with unwanted kids, divorce, weaponized child support, court fees, domestic violence, permanent alimony, paternity fraud, etc…
Normally the joy over a car fades. I know 2 men who had sports cars (they were not rich, nor did they go into major debt). After driving it for 12 - 18 months they were over it. Not practical, and then there is winter with salt on the streets ... The costs, the monthly payments will last much longer than the joy. Now the same could be said about the house - but a home usually appreciates (or at least does not decrease in value).
I got my joy from renting. I lived in Hawaii for almost two years when I was broke. Flew there a lot on Space A and when I started working at American Airlines. Rented a Lamborghini and red “Magnum PI” Ferrari once in Honolulu years ago for about 4-5 hours from exotic car rental company between airport and Waikiki. Paid full insurance. Cruised the island coast from Waikiki to North Shore and back to Honolulu on H2. Topped off tank and gave it back. I think I paid about $400 total. Got it out of my system. I did rent a corvette two or three times at Budget but it was much cheaper with my 50% airline discount ($40 a day) and like a regular rental.
If you daily drive your fun car, it will be normalized and no longer bring joy. If your fun car is only for one day a week, it will be exciting much longer than the payments. That's my experience anyways.
Is that why, when I go to the dealerships to look at car prices just for fun. (It's a Sunday tradition because the dealerships in our state are closed that day and we aren't hassled). I recently saw a 2024 on the used lot with only 600 miles on it. I'm sure whoever bought that new car was over it quick, I think it was a Grand Cherokee.

I married my husband because he prayed with me while we were dating, he treated me like an equal and saw in me what I didn't/couldn't. Our current cars are both older than 10 years, working well but nothing fancy. I suppose it helps that my husband is what you would consider a nerd, he works on computers and is happy to pay others to fix what is broken in our cars.

We decided to be a one car family so we could buy our house. We needed both, couldn’t do both. So we went for the house. We had one car for two years and it was hard. On days I needed the car I would drive my husband in to work 30-45 minutes each way with 3 young kids. And we would pick him up. I felt poor. Our neighbors rented the house two doors down and they had a car and a great truck. 5 years later our home has nearly doubled in value. We now have two cars. Our neighbors got kicked out of their rental when the owner moved in. They are living with the in-laws. Trying to buy a house now that the market has doubled. I’m sad for them. I’m glad we made the decision to get a house when we did. They appreciated like crazy.
If I were in this guy's shoes, I'd keep the Honda and wait a year or so for the interest rates to go down and invest in a house instead. He has the rest of his life to get an expensive toy.
It has more to do with his financial position. It is stupid to wait for interests to go down and expecting your monthly payment to go down too. As soon as the interests go lower, there will be a flood of new buyers that drive the home prices up.

If a girl won't date you when you have nothing while you are building yourself up.... she will less likely be there for you in the future when you go through low point in your life.
Yeah I learned that pretty quick when I had to live in my van to save money while going to school years ago. You learn who your true friends are as well.
When we were debating our first investment and the risk, my wife said "We had nothing when we got married, so if we lose it all now we aren't any worse off than when we started."
This definitely is true for teenagers at 16-20 year olds. Once in the mid and upper 20s, not so big of a deal with attracting a woman. May still get some the younger girls that will try to use it as a status symbol to her friends
I met and started dating my wife in 2014, when I was driving a (paid for) 2004 Chevy Colorado. It was in good mechanical condition and reasonably clean. She was more impressed by the fact that I was able to pay cash for dinner when we went out for (moderately priced) meals and didn't try to hit her up for loans to tide me over until payday. Just one man's experience.
I landed my wife with a 2000 Sienna. Had to put myself at a disadvantage to make it a little more fair for the other guys to have a chance, but they still lost.
27 years ago, my now husband drove a 80' mission brown toyota corolla. It only started half the time, had a cracked head gasket, hole in the muffler and rust. Married 18 years this year.
My amazing husband of 7 years was driving a real clunker of a car when we met and was wearing very worn out sneakers lol I thought he had a very low income and that he couldn't afford new shoes even, but I could see how hard of a worker he was and he impressed me with his love for life and his tenderness and care for me. I just loved being with him and realized I wanted to marry him after only a couple of months of dating. I only found out his really good income amount after about 6 months and realized he was just not a spender 😂 He could have been driving a sports car if he wanted to. I feel that our love is far deeper since we fell in love for the right reasons without any superficial influence from flashy toys. We still don't have a sports car lol But we have 5 kids (3 of them from my previous marriage) 2 reliable reasonable vehicles (one of them paid off completely), our own home, and a life filled with love and unity of purpose. I am so thankful that I didn't take his worn out car and shoes as a indicator of his worth ❤
Too funny, I had a light green 74 Monte Carlo, what a tank. I got rear ended by a 81 Catalina and it destroyed the Catalina and only a piece of plastic broke out of the Monte Carlo.
The car doesn’t make the man but it can peak some interest. 😂 My husband and I both loved our toy cars before we met and yes we both got them affordably and it definitely helped us start a conversation because of our mutual love of cars. It won’t hurt ya as long as your smart about it. Maybe you’ll find a girl who likes cars as much as you do ❤
Dear Kevin, a car would have never impressed me enough to date someone with the intent to marry them. It was all about character. My husband drove an older model truck. Nothing fancy. Dave is right! YOU WILL GET THE WRONG GIRL!!! Jade is wrong
Or maybe it's just fun to own and a convenient way to start a conversation with other people, women or not. And believe it or not a lot of women are into cars and if you find one of those because you have cool cars, that's a dream come true.
I knew a guy who went out on a date with a woman and he said that she asked him what kind of car he drove. He drove a Honda Accord at the time. Then she point blank asked him how much money he made. At the time I was appalled that anyone would be so brazen, but the older I get, I realize that there a lot of people who are more shallow than a parking lot puddle.
I had my dad help me look at cars cuz I feared being scammed. But then he gives me extra help saying this won't impress a girl. I wish I had a dollar for every time I had to say I didn't care.
I still drive my 1998 Toyota Camry 4 banger with 223k an hour to work and hour back home daily. It has heat / ac and power everything. I just don’t look like a baller, oh well. But as you can see in my profile picture. Even driving a PoS I found myself the right girl.
They both right. 🙏🏾 fun video thanks guys 😅 Be who you really are meant to be. Follow God. Be patient. You will be blessed. You’ll get the vehicle you want/need. It’ll be a cool ride. She should love you for who you are. If she does, she will love the ride just the same. Even if it was a piece of garbage. 😂 cause it’s a part of you That’s the beauty of love ❤️
Had several cooler vehicles when I was High school and college age honestly didn’t help much with a getting a long term date. But when I was honestly finishing my debt snow ball I was driving a $1200 Honda Accord that we called Lafonda that was so ugly and dented up. But met my wife driving that car and she married me driving that car ahha
The right gall will notice that a man unapologetically dismisses cultural expectations and dares to drive a modest or old car. And if she dates a man for longer she will notice that he has his shit together, that he is intentional about his finances. Which is reassuring if she considers a serious relationship. And even if not: more money to spoil her ;) Unless she wants the status boost: that her besties see her dating a dude with a hot car. Well even for a fling a man can do better. She should find him hot, not the car.
I met my wife when I drove a 1987 Saab. The front driver’s side axel literally snapped right after our first date, as I was pulling out of the parking lot. I will never forget the sound. I had NO car for the next couple of months. We’re going on 13 years married.
@@Johnny5477 I thought that was a pretty common thing people knew lol. Because Saabs are known to be very unreliable so anytime someone tells a Saab story, well, it's a Saab story lol.
In my area (New Zealand) I've noticed people with fancy European or American cars tend to live in rundown lower cost homes. People with the nicer homes tend to have Hondas or Toyotas in their driveways.
I wouldn’t want a modern Chev at all - especially a Camaro. Rather stick with the Toyota or VW, parts are often interchangeable and there are generic parts available at every auto spares place. Every mechanic (and backyard independent mech) knows the engines and most jobs are a few hours - hell, you could do most work on ur urself.
I had a sporty little 2 seater, was my daily driver all through college and years afterwards. Was fine to get around, for a loner, but had barely any utility may as well have been a motorcycle. I also couldn't go pick up a bunch of friends and go camping with it, but I could meet up if it was just me and a backpack. It didn't help me get chicks, but the few I did date thought it was kind of fun (though impossible to get out of if they were wearing heals or a dress).
I dated a guy who had an old beat up station wagon only to find lout later he had a big warehouse with Ferrari's and Maserati's. I dated 2 guys that drove Corvettes. Two different experiences, but it taught me that what I wanted from a relationship was not a sports car. I wanted a multi-dimensional man, not a boy with toys.
I dated a guy who had lots of toys. Nice cars, couple boats. Cash poor, but had lots of impressive stuff. The guy I married was a guy who drove a death trap gremlin you had to say 5 hail marys to get it to go over 50MPH. Lived in a very modest apartment. Wore clothes from Target. Bought suits on clearance. Far from a cheapskate, and by no means a penny pincher. He was just careful with money- he showed "off" his wealth by paying his employees very well, sponsoring little league teams, boy/girl scout troops, being an umpire for youth sports teams and stuff.
I feel like a sports car might be a red flag. It means potential debt and he's bad with money. Depending on what he does. Especially if he makes over 100k. Also I don't know if I'd want him getting attention from the wrong people with the car.
I know dudes who work at Walmart that drive a brand new mustang or charger. I know dudes who have their own businesses and I work with in terms of that, who drive beat up Hondas and Toyotas.
Especially being a 14, it’s still pretty new. I thought when he said “Honda accord” he was talking about a 1990 something. Chevy isn’t a bad vehicle, but there’s a reason people of all backgrounds and incomes drive a Honda - inexpensive, low but easy maintenance, ridiculously good gas mileage, you won’t have to change much more than an alternator, battery and fluids. I still keep my Toyota Celica around
@@JustinCase780 I had a new LT1 for 4 months once. Nearly every day I drove it someone tried to get me to race. I have had my Impala for over 4 years now, not one race request : )
@@coniccinoc Oh damn that is hysterical...reminds me of high school. No wonder some Highway Patrol cops in some states use impounded Camaros as chase cars.
I rejected a guy who drove a Honda Accord that was so old the vinyl upholstery stank like cat urine. He was camping out in a house he’d bought to flip in a very expensive area (Fairfax district of Los Angeles). This was in the early 1990s. He also had issues with overeating, but I already didn’t like things described. I was dumb.
Lol. I agree the car doesn't make the man. I got with my husband when he would ride his bicycle to my house. Now he is driving a Cummins. Good to stick it out.
Believe me, When I was in my 20's and had an 86 Trans Am. There are many Gold Diggers out there and they heard my father had his own business doing Taxes for a living. I was always leaving screachin out from their apartments. Apartments funny.
The car doesn’t help but definitely doesn’t hurt. If she likes you , she will complement your car to create conversations. If she didn’t like you and isn’t a car enthusiast she probably ignored you lol
My 74 Month Plymouth Fury 2-door had a rust hole in the drivers door big enough for my head to go through .. we’ve been together 44 years this June .. u wanna buy a Camaro do it bcz u like Camaro’s .. u wanna keep the money for the house, do it bcz u will have it paid off sooner and be glad of it when ur older .. since ur renting anyways, 30G left in the S&P @9.5% for 40 years will give u one million to retire on by doing nothing else other than letting it sit there, and u will have 130G (yup a hundred thirty) extra to buy the car
I’d much rather have a spouse who appreciated the 2014 Accord vs a woman who saw the tonka toy ego Camaro as more “impressive”. - happily married 35 years with four happy adult kids.
Having something parked and unused more than 20 hours a day is a toy if it paid for in cash, have zero debt, home paid off, positive net worth, savings, investments, able to retire early anytime, etc… If not………
I would have to think twice before I dated a man with a Camaro, although paid off would probably be ok. My boyfriend drove a paid off 2008 Subaru when we met, and it was a plus in my book. We had matching blue 2008 cars. (Although he now admits he wasn’t sure of me because I was driving my back up car 1986 Volvo when we met 😂)
You know how many shitty guys I know who drive brand new Chargers, Mustangs, etc. The woman is every bit as garbage as they are; rotten on the inside. You know how many guys I work with who drive beater cars? They employ those kinds of people 😂😂😂
I do look at and notice cars - I am always happy to see someone driving a nice or fun car, it makes it interesting when driving around. My car is a 2008 Kia Optima, stick shift, that has seen better days but I like it. Everyone in Denver drives a Subaru, because of the weather.
I always considered a dude of any age driving a flashy car to be red-flagged. They are driving their (lack of) common sense and (probably) shallow values around for everyone to see. It's not that I wouldn't give that guy a chance, but I'd be cautious. If "that guy' is driving his grandma to the grocery store...well....that's different. @@blackworldtraveler3711

Jade is just being Honest ❤❤❤ 😂😂😂
LOVE the Monte Carlo story, Dave. Roy, not so much. Jade, the Camaro will NOT hurt him.
Dave, My first car was a 73 Monte Carlo. I’d love to have it back!
What Jade was trying to say- "The car doesn't make the man, 'but it gives us a starting point'"...lol
Maybe you’ll find a girl who likes cars as much as you do ❤
Nope. I’m wealthy and I avoid car girls. Materialistic diggers
@@Midwest10not always. Plenty of car girls with their own money
2014 accord owner here I’d keep the Honda just hit 285k on the dash today still the original motor and transmission
As an owner of a Paid off 2015 Camaro. I approved this message 😂😂😂
Dear Kevin, a car would have never impressed me enough to date someone with the intent to marry them. It was all about character. My husband drove an older model truck. Nothing fancy.
Dave is right! YOU WILL GET THE WRONG GIRL!!!
Jade is wrong
If you need a car to get a date, you must not be much of a catch. OR, if you trying to get girls with a car, you don’t want date those kinds of girls.
Those girls are both figuratively and legitimately, for the streets. 😂
Or they are simps.
My brother picked up chicks with an old station wagon. You either got swag or you don't
Or maybe it's just fun to own and a convenient way to start a conversation with other people, women or not. And believe it or not a lot of women are into cars and if you find one of those because you have cool cars, that's a dream come true.
“The home prices out here in Austin are astronomical”
LAUGHS IN NEW YORK ACENT.
I love Jade's laugh. I would rather have a guy driving a Honda Accord with a pocket full of money and a nice house. Then he can buy ME the camaro. lol
Or you take the Camaro and run
I knew a guy who went out on a date with a woman and he said that she asked him what kind of car he drove. He drove a Honda Accord at the time. Then she point blank asked him how much money he made. At the time I was appalled that anyone would be so brazen, but the older I get, I realize that there a lot of people who are more shallow than a parking lot puddle.
A new camero is a thief’s dream.
Love it!
I also drive an hour there and back and I bought a new car and I’m killing the miles on a new car
Doesn’t matter. As soon as he gets the girl, he’ll be trading in the car for a minivan.
Or a divorce fleece, weaponized kids against them, kids that may not even be his, etc…
Because if you lead with your wallet, you’re gonna attract predators.
You gotta vet her before you select her.
Jade bout to holler atcha boy lol 😂
Ok, I laughed pretty hysterically a few times in this one 😂
They both right. 🙏🏾 fun video thanks guys 😅
Be who you really are meant to be. Follow God. Be patient.
You will be blessed. You’ll get the vehicle you want/need. It’ll be a cool ride. She should love you for who you are. If she does, she will love the ride just the same. Even if it was a piece of garbage. 😂 cause it’s a part of you
That’s the beauty of love ❤️
"....Brought to you by Depends" 😂😂😂
I agree with Dave!
And even if not: more money to spoil her ;)
Unless she wants the status boost: that her besties see her dating a dude with a hot car.
Well even for a fling a man can do better. She should find him hot, not the car.
Dave hasn't studied hoeflation
You hurt my stomach 🤦🏾♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Priceless advise
I met my wife when I drove a 1987 Saab. The front driver’s side axel literally snapped right after our first date, as I was pulling out of the parking lot. I will never forget the sound. I had NO car for the next couple of months.
We’re going on 13 years married.
I never own a Saab, but had many friends with them... Thumbs up for owning awesome car!
Nice Saab story.
@@dedalliance1 I’m really mad at you for coming up with that because I’ve been living with this for over a decade and never thought of that.
People with the nicer homes tend to have Hondas or Toyotas in their driveways.
in the us too.
“I wanted a man with PLENTY of money” is what I think you mean to say 😂
@@HOLDXSTEEL Respectfully, you don't know what you are talking about. I actually married a guy without a lot of money.
@9liveslisa your problem!
@@HOLDXSTEELnah, it means avoid the guys with big trucks because they're probably bad with money, and they're probably Trump supporters
Great combo these two ❤
I feel like a sports car might be a red flag.
BUY THE CAR!
Trading a Honda in for a Chevy is a horrible financial decision
Especially being a 14, it’s still pretty new. I thought when he said “Honda accord” he was talking about a 1990 something.
Chevy isn’t a bad vehicle, but there’s a reason people of all backgrounds and incomes drive a Honda - inexpensive, low but easy maintenance, ridiculously good gas mileage, you won’t have to change much more than an alternator, battery and fluids.
I still keep my Toyota Celica around
Camaro’s also get you noticed by the police and people who want to race.
Funny because a lot of cops own Camaros.
I was dumb.
Now he a millionaire
Lol. I agree the car doesn't make the man. I got with my husband when he would ride his bicycle to my house. Now he is driving a Cummins. Good to stick it out.
NO!!! Don't do it!!!
Believe me, When I was in my 20's and had an 86 Trans Am. There are many Gold Diggers out there and they heard my father had his own business doing Taxes for a living. I was always leaving screachin out from their apartments. Apartments funny.
DAVE RAMSEY SPITTING 🔥!
The car doesn’t help but definitely doesn’t hurt. If she likes you , she will complement your car to create conversations. If she didn’t like you and isn’t a car enthusiast she probably ignored you lol
Well, I'd much rather date someone with a sensible, paid off car and $30K in the bank than someone in a fancy car with a bank account $30K lighter.
my question is why nobody stopped this guy from putting 30 DOWN and having a loan on an 8 year old camaro. guy is getting scammed
That house will be more attractive than a sports car in 10 years.
I drive a 2006 Hyundai Sonata and can’t get a date…. Oh well I guess I am a hideous shut in…
I have a 12 year old civic and never had a problem getting ladies. Owning what you got is more attractive to women.
I rented a Camaro on my last vacation. It was a fun car to drive, but I couldn't adjust well to the periscope visibility out of the windows
I’d much rather have a spouse who appreciated the 2014 Accord vs a woman who saw the tonka toy ego Camaro as more “impressive”. - happily married 35 years with four happy adult kids.
I'm a woman in a similar situation, however a few yrs older, more saved, etc.
I just bought my "toy" Corvette and loving it!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I say Go for it!
Having something parked and unused more than 20 hours a day is a toy if it paid for in cash, have zero debt, home paid off, positive net worth, savings, investments, able to retire early anytime, etc…
If not………
Enjoy it!!
As long as it is a Camaro SS!
Great vedio with truth 💯👍🫵👌
I would have to think twice before I dated a man with a Camaro, although paid off would probably be ok. My boyfriend drove a paid off 2008 Subaru when we met, and it was a plus in my book. We had matching blue 2008 cars. (Although he now admits he wasn’t sure of me because I was driving my back up car 1986 Volvo when we met 😂)
She is truly beautiful.
Jade you are wrong. I'm a woman and it is crazy to be interested in a guy because of his car.. That is stupid
You know how many shitty guys I know who drive brand new Chargers, Mustangs, etc. The woman is every bit as garbage as they are; rotten on the inside.
You know how many guys I work with who drive beater cars? They employ those kinds of people 😂😂😂
Roy is 1000% right😊
30k for a 2016 camaro is insane! Unless he's factoring some upgrades, registration, etc. into it.
I thought the same thing. I am guessing he is looking at a 2016 Camaro ZL1, to justify the $30K price tag.
Me and millions of others with no cars back in the prime: 😬
People need to account for the economy going down the drain in the next couple years.
We don’t buy cars to impress chicks, we do it for the boys
Facts 💯
And 93% of THOSE BOYS don't even like you
gay
LOLLLL come on how can’t you love internet😂❤ God bless you bro
@@kristamonae nothing gay about kissin the homies
I do look at and notice cars - I am always happy to see someone driving a nice or fun car, it makes it interesting when driving around. My car is a 2008 Kia Optima, stick shift, that has seen better days but I like it. Everyone in Denver drives a Subaru, because of the weather.
JADE!!!!!! I'm shocked!
I see the red flags from her now and then.
I pulled up to the car wash cashier. He says you cant bring that through here. I said what? He goes yep too old. You can back out right over there.
Haha keep your stupid car wash .
Get the Camaro brother check out mine lol giving mustangs the beat down all day!
I have 2000 accord 2000 odyssey and 95 tbird. All with hundreds of thousands of miles. I'm set
I met my hubby and he was driving a '92 Saturn. And in the last 10 years and the 4 cars he has had in that time, was 100% the coolest car he has ever had.
Now when he was driving my car that's different 😂 but I miss that cute little car.
