I won’t make the decision just yet, and thank you. This Bosch is looking good after hearing/seeing your review.
Nothing is perfect and I’m grateful for your obviously expert, critical analysis. Looking forward to more critical explanations and why I should/or not consider what.
      Wise channel.

Pulled the trigger on this for a number of reasons: 1) this video (high five!) 2) my Bosch 4000 died after 15+ years of quality use 3) I had been looking at the SkillSaw Wormdrive and the Dewalt had been on sale everywhere for $550 and was about to go yellow when... 4) Acme was running a sale when you added this to the cart and undercut Dewalt by $50 (yes, the Bosch was $499)! Got it this week and bought the accessories with the savings (rear outfeed and left side feed - which Bosch says doesn't fit, but it totally does - you just need to mount the receivers differently).
On adjustments - I did have to move the back of the fence about 1/16" but the rest was aligned.
Finally, had a use for a today and WOW. I didn't know what I was missing. Start and stop was great. Motor had a ton of power (ripped down some PS 4x4 in one pass on the stock blade and some composite deck boards) and the rack and pinion was so nice to micro adjust.
On other thing, the Gravity Rise table is an upgrade over my old one. Seems slightly more compact and the airless tires are huge - I genuinely disliked having to pump up the old ones.
Plan on upgrading my blade (did burn the 4x4 a bit, but for this project didn't care too much) and getting the dado kit shortly when I have a need. So far zero point zero regrets.
Last thing (for real) - tape appeared OK for about 10", then starts to be off. Will stick to my tape measure.

Got this Bosch GTS15-10 table saw as a gift for Christmas 2023. Your review is bang-on with what I found right out of the box as far as setup, calibration and adjustments. The manual is excellent. I bought the optional accessory out-feed and left-side supports. They're pretty good, but the one support has a c-clip that snags on a screw on the underside of the table when extending or retracting the support. It's a very minor thing. The clamp-zone is a handy feature. This table saw overall is very well executed. Thanks for your review, great job!

Thanks for the insight! We checked out the table extension in the 4100 review and for some reason I decided not to buy it for this one. I keep most of the table saws I review for additional testing and comparison vids but when the time comes to make space this Bosch will be tough to get rid of. It's very well designed with some great features and power. Thanks for watching!!

Great review. I’ll say it til I’m blue in the face, I’ve loved everything from Bosch that I have. I keep hoping they will release some of the stuff that Europe gets. Some of it looks to be right along side the quality of festool. The routers they have in Europe make the ones they release here look pretty cheap

New to the channel and great reviews. I like that your reviews are always letting "us" decide.
My beloved Bosch 4000 just died after 17 years and have been debating whether to fix it or replace it.
Would love to see a shootout between this Bosch, the Skilsaw SPT99-11 and DeWalt 7491RS. These three seem to be the cream of the jobsite crop right now.
Interesting that DeWalt has dropped the price the past few weeks across the board (HD, Lowes and Amazon), I wonder if they are feeling it or if they are going to be releasing an updated version soon.
My black horse pick (or is it green horse?) - I'd like to see the Metabo HPT C10RJ reviewed.

I'll bet you're right about the arbor extension, Mike. As for the inaccurate rule, I never trust them anyway; after all, they're on an aluminum table. Just measure twice and go. Looks like one of the very best of the jobsite saws and highly recommendable for anybody who isn't already in possession of a good one.

Great review! Really happy I bought this saw as a result. Tape is an issue, but I’ve seen that on a lot of saws in this price range, the rest of the features more than made up for it. We can fix that with aftermarket tape

    • @GordonGEICO
      @GordonGEICO หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Like many, I'm deciding between the Bosche and the DeWalt, and I'm leaning toward the Bosch because I don't feel like dealing with the stand on the DeWalt. But I know that ruler is going to bother me if it's off like it is in this video. What aftermarket tape did you wind up going with and did you account for the separate 0" / 7" positions?
I think a Starrett 4' Measure Stix tape is about $10. I guess you could get two of them, use a straight-edge and a razor to cut them in half length-wise and start the lower one at 7".
It's a pity the DeWalt DWE7491RS scale is 0" / 8" because it would be a good one to replace it with.

Just started watching your channel and must compliment you on your reviews.
I have gone through 2 Bosch 4100, both used almost daily in Home Construction. In both cases the bearings in the motor failed. The GTS15 was on my short list but I opted to give the Skilsaw a try. I think that the worm drive motor will hold up better.

In 2007 I got the Bosch 4000. In 2019, all the smoke escaped from the motor, along with all the factory-installed sparks and flames. I wasn't able to capture them and put them back, so I replaced it with the 4100. Now after seeing this saw, I'm tempted to clean up and sell the 4100 (still in very good condition) and replace it with this. (I also have the 18v cordless model.)

I'm sure the ruler issue has much to do with the coefficient of thermal expansion of the plastic tape, how much it was stretched during application to the *aluminum-* and at what temperature it was applied. Combine that with any temperature differential between your garage and the Taiwanese factory.

That’s a really interesting thought. Too bad they don’t allow us to install the tape. I’ve done it before on a Phaedra I bought for cutting picture frame molding. That said I have a Fletcher mat cutter. I added a squaring arm to cut mat board. The tape they give you slides into a groove that you can adjust left or right. Once taped the end of the tape stays in place and boom, it’s all done.

Thank you for this excellent review! I was in the market for a new small table saw in my shop since my Ryobi bt3100 died. I am now the proud owner of this Bosch GTS 1510 table saw. I've been using it for the past few Weeks and find it to be an excellent and accurate tablesaw. The one thing that I am not too pleased with is the sliding miter gauge which fits poorly into the track. As a result, even when the gauge is set accurately, there can be enough lateral movement to cause inaccurate cuts. Has anyone found this to be the same? Or maybe more importantly, has anyone built their own sliding miter sled for the saw? I'd be interested to know what design plans are out there.

Just note the 4100 series is notorious for motor failures. Generally either the circuit board (for the soft start) or the bearing. I have a 4000 (the model before) and just cooked the motor (after 17 years, in my case, I think it's the field coil). I'm an advanced DIYer but I imagine if this was on a contractor's truck that 17 years would have been much, much sooner. That said, I'm still leaning towards this as the replacement. The other two options would be the Skilsaw SPT99-11 and DeWalt 7491RS.

But, I really want to have a saw dedicated to a dado blade that I can move easily. Does it come with the zero clearance throat plate, or the dado throat? I guess made in Taiwan is better than made in China. I'd have to agree on that arbor length and the nut. Good luck, brother. Man, you hogged that out all in one pass, that's impressive. Width table saws such as the Skil hovering below $400.00, I think this table saw would be a hard sell except for Bosch enthusiasts..

Some of the older vids definitely had audio issues before I figured it out. This is the first video edited on my new desktop setup without headphones. I'll have to reexamine. Thanks for the heads up and for watching!!

Little bird told me should hopefully be released in the US at the end of the year. I’d be surprised if Evo doesn’t send one over for review. Solid yes on this one. Thanks for watching!

I havd one serious problem wiyh these saws and its not just the bosch. It looks like the rise and fall mechanism for the blade is the same as previous saws and is just as exposed, these jam up with dust and get damaged, i have one at at the moment that is unusable. this is a massive problem that should have been fixed.

I think youre throwing the tape measure off by squishing it with clamps.

    • @ProjectsForAllReviews
      @ProjectsForAllReviews  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Doesn’t matter if it’s clamped or not. I clamped it so you can see it didn’t move. Thanks for watching!

@@ProjectsForAllReviews Its not about moving, its about deforming the tape slightly.

@@evictioncarpentry2628 I hear ya but it’s the same with all of the tapes clamped or not.

Does look like it's nice, I see guys getting these jobsite saws to save room only to build it into a bench that takes more room then a contractor saw, even cabinets lol never understood that as they will never be as good as either I just mentioned, I've heard Bosh don't work well with common accessories and only use Bosh accessories which is a huge turn off, least that's the case with their routers..

LOL!!! Seems like I'm spending budget table saw money at the grocery store on the weekly. 2-3 visits to Jewel is about the $ equivalent of 1 high end job saw! Thanks for watching!

Skil is now the parent company of Robert Bosch, so it's not a stretch of imagination to see both the Bosch and Skil tapes off to the same degree. Someone mentioned temperature at application. Maybe so. In any case, I never trust those tapes for anything but coarse measures...like if I need an eight inch cut, slide the fence close to 8 while I'm grabbing my tape.
On tape measures: if you start a project with one certain tape, use that specific tape all the way through to completion. There is just enough difference between a DeWalt inch and a Milwaukee inch to give you migraines...just sayin' 😮😢

I agree the ruler on table saws is only on there because it would be weird if there was no ruler. I do however use the ruler on my Delta for non super critical cutting, it's done fine. To my knowledge Chervon bought Skilsaw and Skil from Bosch and that's were the similarities come from. Would have made sense to me for Bosch to change the ruler design to differentiate the new saw from their previous designs that they sold, seems lazy to me. But what do I know? 😂 Thanks for watching!

Sorry, have to correct something here. Bosch used to be the parent company of Skil. However Bosch sold the Skil brand to Chervon, the company that makes Flex, E-Go and some of the Kobalt line, several years ago.

With that much fence dip and the blade waver, did you check the flatness of those rips? I'd be interested in variations.
