It has come to my attention that conc and meg have some hidden water speed values on their abilities that make them faster than I thought! They should be somewhere around the 800 water speed range... I'm also investigating whether or not I did my calculations correctly. There are two ways you can go about calculating max potential speed stats: The first option, the method used in this video, was to take each percentage off the base sprint swim speed value and then add them all up at the end. The second option is to calculate each percentage increase off of the new base speed total, which in turn would make the speed values much higher than what is shown in my video. It wouldn't change the overall order too much (a few dinos would jump spots like conc and meg), but almost everything would get faster swim speed wise across the board. I'm out of town currently so it's a bit hard for me to look into all this further right now, but I'll see if I can pin down some answers when I'm back! P.s: I'll be out of town tomorrow through part of next week, so no Friday PvP livestream tomorrow (the 12th) unfortunately!
YOOO I remember helping find the getprop command! Yeah something is super funky about speed buffs from subspecies and abilities. It’s a lot herder to tell if the abilities descriptions are lying unfortunately.
That command helped with ramph! Really hard to find any info on poor ramph lol. Yeah it’s pretty tough to tell when it comes to abilities, they do lie about what they do quite frequently!
i got the get prop command really before alderon squirrel revealed it because i asked a youtuber about it and he gived me the command, yeah its a really useful command
Sarco has the swim sprint charge and I saw lamb has one too.. I wonder how the skills factor in as a top speed / average. Like if u constantly boosted on lamb could you out swim something faster?
Indeed, I run a hybrid sucho so I keep claw barrage. I’m also the stam sub cause I prefer fighting on land with it. Just depends on how you want to use it
Imo sucho is the only water Dino thats worth not investing everything into water speed bc it gets outclassed in water by spino, duck and sarco but then some land abilities are pretty useless, still a great Dino just bc of that front limb slot with this ability called "claw barrage" which can deal like 120 dps or so💀💀@@Khanware
claw barrage is useless in the water. you need to keep it at 5 stacks the entire fight to actually do some damage which is difficult since its hard to hit with while in the water without getting bit. the regular bite works better in water fights. bite, dodge, repeat the full water build still sucks tho cuz a sarco can kill u easily after draining ur stam.. i only mess around with full water sucho on deathmatch servers for fun
It’s definitely more of a stat list then tier list lol, but I feel like it’s a niche topic. Haven’t seen much information on how fast aquatics/semi aquatics can go, useful for chasing and catching things
Thal feels so much faster then 780. I would thought about 800. But then again it doesn’t really have any good subspecies but if it did get a swim speed sub species it would be pretty decent. Also Rhamphs Seabird hide is why it’s so fast plus that alone is better then streamlined
So uh, I watched germz gaming (im not a salesman lol) do the aquatic speed thing, and apparently the aquatic buffs each individually multiply the swim speed instead of combining their buffs into a single increase. This means that one buff would increase the base swim speed by a certain amount, then the next buff would increase the BUFFED swim speed from the first buff and so on For example: the base speed of eurhino is 1100. Add 10% from streamlined hide, which gets 1210. Then add 10% to 1210 (the previous buffed speed) from paddle tail, which gets 1331 which is 11 more speed than your calculation. This gets really significant with lots of swim buffs. I think this explains why spino and sucho can outpace a sarco because the amount of swim buffs they get stack up a huge amount of extra speed once fully specked. From what I saw sucho’s full water speed is 1031 and spino’s is 978. Sarco only was shown with 968 at max speed because it only had 2 water speed buffs. On a side note there was some weird extra stuff in the data. Apparently duck’s balanced subspecies is actually a swim speed subspecies lmao. Meg’s dive provides a 50% boost when equipped for some reason. Conca’s webbed claws provide a 50% boost instead of 10%. So yea conca and meg are actually way faster than the abilities show. Ps, pls pin this so everyone can see :p.
That's... Interesting, to say the least if it's true. I figured it would be a much more simplistic formula rather than each percentage stacking up on top of the last. Do you have proof you can link me or a command to showcase boosted movement stats from abilities in game? Everything else in my testing checked out with my math EXCEPT for sarco, which is why I assumed one of its abilities is functioning differently from its description (which is common as you know). I don't doubt that half the abilities/descriptions are wrong lol, that one I've seen for myself many times. Although duck did seem to be about where it should in terms of swim speed (tested vs spino with duck balanced sub). Where/how are you getting the stats for individual abilities that aren't listed (like conc's webbed claws)? I'd love a console command for that lol.
@@Khanware I pulled the numbers from germz's video, so I don't know the commands myself. However I do believe there is a test you can do to prove whether or not the buffs stack on each other or not. Here's the test: Make a full swim speed duck (include balanced subspecies) and make it race a kai with no buffs. Because your duck speed at max was 840, if the duck really does have that speed, it should be slower than the base speed kai's 900 speed. However, germz's duck speed was 931, which should be able to out speed a base kai. Try that race to see. There might be an issue if germz is wrong about duck's balanced sub. If so, than make a full water speed duck and pit it against a base duck with the command: /setattrmovementspeedmultiplier 1.2 (which is the total swim speed calculation of your duck). If buffs do compound, then the water duck should be slightly faster still. Make sure both ducks are the same subspecies. As in regards to the webbed claws thing, germz's viewers told him (not me of course lol). I don't know how you get the actual speed values, as I only know the specific game commands on the wiki and watching that really cursed campto video by Pesky lmao.
The Multiplier stacks different Suchos 50% works different when you check the ingame.multiplier Making Spino result in 980.88, Sarco at 968, Sucho at 1030 Meg Dive gives it 50% swim speed as seeing in the game with the commands, etc
Yep, I sadly learned this a few weeks after this video was up. Although the numbers are somewhat wrong, the positions hold roughly true. I also figured out meg dive in a conc comparison I ran recently. Is there a command for displaying stats of abilities?
@@Khanware theres the /getprop command to get the base number for Swim Sprimt speed Also applies to Swim Trot And then the /getattr movementspeedmultiplier that you do while swimming/on water to see how much the multiplier is affected by the ability and how it stacks
@@Sr_V2 I know those two, but I was curious if there was a command to see ability stats. There are a lot of abilities in the game that say “boosts x” or “faster x” or in the case of Meg’s dive, nothing at all. Would be nice to have a command that showed ability stats, I’m guessing there isn’t one

fast swim sucho is funny
I was surprised it can get as fast as it does! Useless on land with that kit though
That dinosaur needs nerfed

I wish I knew how to math these videos are life savers
The issue with full water sucho is that it sacrifices it's claw barrage for it. I also rather use the stam regen subspecies, it just looks cooler imo.

It's possible I miscalculated (check the pin, not sure which way the game calcs stats), but it should be around that ballpark!

Ok I make Sucho soldier but all land speed
My sucho is mostly kitted for land too, it’s a very good all-round Dino

Spino without tail attack on beginning made me panic
@@33-dw6fn I run mine without tail attack, but then again I run full water build so I don’t plan on taking land fights often lol
@@33-dw6fn tail attack is pretty useless bc in water ur never gonna get value out of it and even on land u can back urself up against a wall
Spino is faster then i thought tbh in - game it feels like its on part with duck
Yeah, full water spino is a good bit faster than duck, we ran a quick race to test it out because we thought duck was faster too!
