Also, personally i run a build meant more for small-game hunting including grab, leap, and kick cus of how you can currently combo a grab with a kick, then spamming bite while using the kick's bleed for the fresh blood ability, it melts through anything that is grabbable But thats just what i do cus to me austrola really feels like a small game hunter

After playing Australo, I have learnt something. You know Ex Argilla is amazing when they teach you about Dinosaur anatomy. I learnt that Megaraptorans have 2 bodies, one that's, well, their body, and another that's 4 feet away from their tail tip. Loved the PvP in the vid!
I agree with everything BUT claw barrage. The reason why claw barrage is worse than claw attack is it require stamina to use, its inconsistent, and it does no bleed. You're always better off using contact. Not to mention claw attack has a disjointed hitbox. So usually you can hit someone as they bit, but you hit them and they don't hit you. Not to mention the bleed on top the keep that 10% damage buff going. Edit: it also does more then bite, doing 40 over bites 20
Australovenator really makes me think it's a combination of Concavenator and Metriacanthosaurus You're a small and fast bleeder, and you have a vocal ability that allows you to have a secret second phase like a Dark Souls boss

Playing as Austro and testing it out Dilo is a counter and I mean a really good one. Unless you’re really good or 3v1’ing the Dilo it’s a very bad match up for you. The only thing I think an Austro has advantage on vs a Dilo is its speed but ofc you don’t want to bleed out. Same goes for albert as a counter like you mentioned very good Video
I adore the austro but they need to fix the apparent second body on the end of the tail and the sudden slowness that prevents running. They should also reduce heal timer from 10 minutes to 5 minutes like the metri. Hate fighting this Dino. It’s KOS when I see these idc. There’s no reason this thing is so tanky. No reason it’s stupidly fast. No reason it can do as much damage as it does. It’s just overall comical op. I played it and you can fuckin solo 2 Rex, 3 raptors and a sucho it’s retarded. This Dino needs nerfed beyond belief. It should be a fast Dino and damage deal is ok but the tank and self heal is ridiculous combined with all other shit.
I recommend not using claw barrage on austro. Most of the time you wont get to 5 stacks and the first 3 stacks will literally do nothing because of your low combat weight.
Unless the 5 Austros I fought were really bad then lamb is another good counter since it seems a similar speed so it can just run around tail hitting them I fought 5 austros at once the other day as lamb and I got hem all to death scars until they ran away and was only half hp

comments on this video as a whole, not just the build (but of course i will talk about the build real quick). i go for the regular claw attack but because it's reliable damage and bleed that can combo well but really dual claw is what you'll be using. there is not a word, number, whatever that i could use here to describe just how much i agree that learning your opponents movement is valuable. in almost all of my fights i tend to go aggressive to start it off, just so i can lure my targets into thinking i'm only going to be aggressive, just for the fight to turn into the longest fight they've ever had as i try and out heal them, but if their movement is very predictable (like Jesus i ran into the one acro and i swear it was like reading one of those pre-school books where each page has like ten words max) then i'll try and bait not just attacks but also movement. for example, if my target is running and i notice that they typically turn right to swing around me, i'll start running to their right, but not because i'm trying to catch their movement to the right but instead the left. imagine we are both keyboard players, no matter which way my target moves they have to press a into s to get around me or d into s, where i just have to either hit a or d to cut them off. TLDR, knowing your opponents movement is important. (me screaming at nvGunn to let bleed kill his targets instead of risking damage[also am i the only one getting stuck on other creatures hitboxes?])
Claw barrage can SHRED anything bro you should use it more often. Not kidding, you can DESTROY anything with it. I only use dual to either deal bleed or when i'm against an opponent that has little to no weak spots.

isnt it weird they are getting faster like first the Kelenken then Dimetrodon now this thing and they do even more damage i mean they are cool but in no world u can win with a vanilla dino against them modded creatures somewhat sad it is indeed
Trying to land hits on a Rex was really hard for me. Otherwise as a dino he's fun, I really love the ruby throat skin. He has a fun broadcast too. Glad you made a video covering him. I never thought about using traction for him though. I try to do hit and run attacks until the dino I'm hunting gets worn down, but honestly you're build might be the right way for me.
Honestly the only thing that needs a nerf is surprisingly its health, I watched this rat tank multiple hits from a carchar as well as one tanking 3 thrashes from a sachi. His damage and bleed output is not op but he is actually too tanky
