@@NTesla369 My thoughts are that fictional universes are just that... fictional. I go to Fallout or any other fictional franchise to escape the real world. If I want current affairs I'll turn on a news outlet, when I go to a fictional world I want escapism. I want to see stories and characters relevant to that world, not this one.

So far despite the look of the vault being spot on, everything we have seen from what's going on in the vaults just looks weird. I'm really starting to worry they are going to make a massive rings of power mess of this. Great video by the way!

Just remember, the Vertibird does not automatically mean Brotherhood of Steel. It probably is, but the Enclave used them also. It could also be used in a flashback scene to the world before or during the war. That being said, this is being done by Amazon, who I have zero faith in after Rings of Power and the absolutely unwatchable Wheel of Time series.
We had a chat about the vertibirds in another comment here. It is the Brotherhood model of vertibird from Fallout 4 they have copied. The Enclave use different models, although the producers could, of course, use the one bird for all factions to save money, but they have been very accurate with the designs so far. Plus we have seen the Brotherhood power armour but nothing yet with the Enclave markings. You make a good point about pre-war flashbacks, I hadn't thought much about that. I guess it's a possibility with Goggins Ghoul character. I also found Wheel of Time to be almost unwatchable. I'm hoping Nolan knows what he is doing but I am quite worried.
@@FalloutPBC You are probably correct, was just tossing out alternatives. I haven't kept up with it because I just don't want to be disappointed by yet another adaptation of one of my favorite works that turns out to be terrible.
@@sidroberts7960 I hear yah! I think most of us are very apprehensive. Amazons track record is very mixed when it comes to adaptations. The only thing that I can say gives me some optimism at the moment is just how much care they have taken to match the look of the game. I don't know if you saw my video on the interior sets but they even built the school desks just as they are in the game. That's a lot of trouble and cost for such a minor detail. I know that doesn't mean they will take the same care with the scripts and the lore but it is a token of respect for the source material that gives me some hope.

I’m kinda sketchy about this show but I still have some hope, people talk about ROP but they forget Amazon delivered us “the terminal list” and other “original” shows that were pretty good, and from the look of the set and stuff like that it seems pretty accurate from the games (which the LOTR series really walked away from)
I agree, a few of us were talking about the good shows on Amazon on another thread. I'm a big fan of the "Reacher" show. Detective shows are not my usual cup of tea but it's just so good. I enjoyed "The Expanse" and "The Man In The High Castle" too, even though they were far from perfect adaptations it does show that Amazon can get it right. And as you said they have gone to extraordinary lengths to copy the look of the games. We should have hope for sure.
Just rewatching all these to see what the trailer didn't show. What the hell is going on in Vault 33? Lucy is said to have a calm and sheltered life but this vault looks wild! They said in interviews the vault hadn't ever been open but we see here the NCR Flag and a ghoul with a laser rifle. Plus all the crazy stuff we now know from the trailer.
You know I had been thinking this video showed Vault 32! What the hell does go on in 33? I wonder if all the crazy stuff happens after she leaves? Perhaps that isn't a ghoul but another mutant like the Cyclops?

The tone is something I'm really worried about too. Lets face it many of the fans like Fallout for a lot of different reasons. They just aren't going to be able to pitch the show for everyone.
@@FalloutPBC That's very true it is a very broad canvas. If the go too hard on the black humor the show could be silly and not enough humor could make it too dark.
@@FalloutPBC They could make a show for everyone if they went the anthology route. Each episode a different director, exploring different aspects of Fallout, each with it's own tone. But I don't think that's what they've done here and it's a missed opportunity.

I enjoyed The Expanse and The Man In The High Castle adaptations too despite both having some flaws. I too would consider it a welcome surprise if they manage to pull it off. No, not at the moment. IMDB is a fan-edited site, Matthew. Everything there is speculation gathered by fans from the actor's social feeds until official info is out. The prime example of that is the main stars are only listed as being in 4 of the ten episodes at the moment. I'm always keeping an eye on IMDB for info. You could be right about the Enclave but as we have seen Brotherhood power armour and the vertibird is the Brotherhood model I think that it's more likely to be them. I did speculate about the Enclave in one of the earlier videos in the series. I'm sure they will turn up but I hope they don't introduce too many of the factions in season one.

I think the person wearing the tighter vault suit might be a woman. As for advertising and hype? Maybe they're following Bethesda and letting the fans do all the work. Heh
@FalloutPBC but there's also alot of racism in the form of people's uneasiness of ghouls, and in Fallout 4 synths are added to this. It may not be on the nose, but those themes have always been in fallout.
@@devinaschenbrenner2683 Yes that's true but like all really good Sci-Fi it's very complex. Is it racism if you hate Super Mutants because they kidnapped and ate your children? Or the Synths that wiped out your whole settlement, or murdered and replaced your family member? But I totally get your point, I think Fallout does a good job of addressing some really difficult and at times uncomfortable questions. That's what made "Blind Betral" My favorite RPG story of all time.
@FalloutPBC judging someone just because they are something, even if they haven't committed the act is the same, and that where the relations are at with Sythns at the time of fallout 4. Which is why I included it. Yes the fear has very understandable and very reasonable foundations, but over the years it's spread into unbiased hatred just because they might be a sythn.
@@devinaschenbrenner2683 You know BGS doesn't get enough credit for how well they introduced the Synths in F3 and then expanded on them in F4. I know most of the story is lifted from the forerunners in Sci-Fi that tacked the topic of artificial humans before at length. I know it had all been done before, but I think they did a great job of adapting the concept for the Fallout world. Here we are more than seven years later debating the moral gray areas of the story. Just what Sci-Fi should be. Like I said "Blind Betrayal" Is the perfect way to use the concept in an interactive story. Sadly so many players didn't play and complete the game with all four factions and really missed the full story.
i'm afraid this show is going to be yet another woke, inclusive flop. So far as I can tell, it's going to be California Soy boys instead of tough, survival looking characters in the games. Their sanitized version of events will undoubtedly cover all the Hollywood accepted themes and turn the show into a woke fiasco.

That's an interesting idea. Personally, I doubt they will use any lore from 1 or 2. Nolan has said he was a big fan of three and so far all the visuals seem to be mostly 4 with a dash of 3 and 76.
That's probably a wise idea. Lets hope they can pull this off and then we can all be pleasantly surprised. That would make a nice change these days! lol
