I’ve been following this build for the last couple of years and wow, 😮 coming from a gsr x owner mad respect to the quality and work put into this X I love it
Hey i weighed it a few years back and went over all the weight mods in that video which i linked below. Obviously the car has changed a little since then but still gives an idea th-cam.com/video/XdbNXucKfks/w-d-xo.html
Hello from Alberta, Canada.. Have you tried your times with changing the tire mode - tarmac , snow or gravel? What weee better times, I’ve heard gravel is best , but not entirely sure… my best was 12:65, other wise 12:70, 12:80 - 1/4 mile.
He had it custom painted. You can see more of it here in the detail video I did on it for my other channel if you're interested. th-cam.com/video/ocqRaHHiRh0/w-d-xo.html
Yeah that's correct and about exactly what ti expect on the dynos here. Keep in U.S dynos read much higher than Australian dynos and even some Australian dynos read much higher than others eg there's a particular state in aus where I see torque figures consistently too high for what the 4b11t generally does. At the end of the day the dyno is just a tuning tool the main thing to accurately compare is times and trap speed
@@JacksonStrain yeah I thought might be the case. I'm from the UK so im sure they are different here also! I'm thinking of getting a Dragy to test this out :) your evo puts the power down really well 0-60 is insane!!
Ever thought of getting an RS3? (As an EVO fan and owner - the RS3 was a natural transition and easier/cheaper platform for modding. Something to consider - especially if you’re into performance times.
I would love one for sure but don't think I could go without my Evo as I use it more for mountain runs than performance times overall. I have tried to build it to be great at everything and what I've heard from people who have gone to the RS3 is while they love the performance and luxury they sometimes miss the steering and handling of the Evo. In saying that no wife has been considering selling her Evo for something different and an RS3 is on her list as is the A45 AMG
@@MrTroytroy ah ok yeah that makes sense I've just heard ot can be very undesteer prone at the limit and not as nice to drive hard in corners even with suspension mods just because it's quote front heavy. Either way I'd love one next to the Evo as best of both worlds then and far more power potential in the RS3 which I like
@@JacksonStrain the preface lift RS3 had an iron block, 5 Direct injectors and a small turbo. These understeered badly. The facelift (2017) has an aluminium block, 10 injectors, big turbo and comes in sedan and hatchback. Understeer can be tuned out with those. Has stock fuel system for 600hp (E85) and makes around 340-360kwatw on stock engine, turbo gearbox etc. High 10’s with bolt ons. For example , mine did a high 10 on street surface with only Intercooler, turbo inlet and Off the shelf e85 tune and TCU tune
@@MrTroytroy oh yep that makes sense, unfortunately it would be the pre facelift hatch she'd be getting as we would be selling her Evo and buying it so budget would Max out at 60k which is definitely not getting us the facelift at this stage
Yeah when I even go to the track I'll try that. What sort of time difference have you had when dropping pressures. It's launching quite well and getting a little wheel spin which is helping not break anything haha
It's spark cut launch set up by AK Racing. They've been working on getting it right for a while and constantly testing it on their own cars. Not anything I can help with personally as I just let them do their magic
Do the Kevlar timing belt brother. If I told you the story of how my perfectly running engine just got blown up, you would ask how the fk is that even possible and then do it the next day. My lucks so bad, I can't even chance a fkn fart anymore. The cars beautiful 👍🏼
So far my timing chain is looking good as I get it checked when it's at AK Racing but I do know it will need replacing soon so I might have to look into a kevlar one. Sorry to hear about yours though 😔
Yes it says the 1ft roll-out time at the bottom which is usually a bit faster and what journalists and manufacturers usually go off. Dragy tells you the actual time though as the official one
Ummmm....my memory might have failed me but i seem to remember a number of 298kw on the real world dyno and I'll just put that into my google computer.....let see mmmmm 399.625hp...oh dear thats sooooo close to getting into "our" 400hp club, but every man must strive to one day to be king ;)
Haha nah 294kw on the dyno that's why I say 394whp but easier to put 400whp on the thumbnail. I could get a dyno run now that it's colder ajd make 300kw possibly 😂
@@JacksonStrain ok look I called a special extraordinary meeting with the 400whp legends committee to explain your case, I stated that you're young and need the bucks and subs so we'll let it go through just this time 😁

Thanks so much I really appreciate the kind words 🙏
Let’s gooooo 🎉❤ Bro that detail on the exterior body looking mint sheesh.
Thanks bro 🙏
Man that 0-60mph is crazy
Yeah that's a few year old supercar times haha.
But most modern AWD cars are getting crazy low times these days
that engine bay is 🔥🔥
Thanks Jordan
hello from tye US , how much weight did you trim off the car? very impressive performance

I've always left it on tarmac as in launching on tarmac so figuired it would be best.
I haven't played around with tyre pressures yet either
Them flames! 🔥 🔥
Haha yeah wasn't expecting them at all as I asked for a non flame map but I guess on E85 it will just shoot them anyway
Looks great gives me the fast and furios nostalgia
Haha thanks mate
Good stuff man! Thanks for info as always!
Thanks mate much appreciated
The yellow evo x that goes on drives with your group. How did he get that color ?
He had it custom painted.
You can see more of it here in the detail video I did on it for my other channel if you're interested.

Awesome video! Just real quick, where abouts did you get your shift boot and handbrake boot?
I got them as a birthday gift I should have links to them in the video description when I installed them.

Hey man is the torque pro app accurate when it comes to recording those pulls?
Hey man no unfortunately it's way off.
Best off using a dragy to get accurate times
Love those tail lights!! Nice car! Pretty fast! Can you do same test in km/h ?
Thanks mate when changed to km mode in dragy its 0-100kms is 3.39 seconds
As 100kms is actually 62mph so is a slightly different time
Awesome numbers! What front lip is that?
Thanks, it's the oem aero front lip
Everyones sleeping on the 4b11 now its finally getting the recognition
About time too such a great engine

Well done bro. What tire pressure are you running
I didn't touch them so just had them left at 38psi

How much boost are you running?
24psi
Hi mate, how do I contact you ? Need bit of your help.
Commenting on here is fine or possibly IG
Now you made me buy a Dragy... 😋
Haha yeah they're great and not too expensive 😅
Jackson you got any extra Mr parts you wanna sell for a deal?
Sorry no I don't but if you keep an eye on fb marketplace a lot of good parts pop up there
What’s the 60-120?
It doesn't measure that unless doing a 60-130mph run and the car doesn't have much top end power for those type of runs.
To think with an evo10 400hp is doable with just bolt ons and a stock frame turbo.
Yeah they can definitely hold their own

@@JacksonStrain hi do you think adding a rear strut brace will improve handling in the lancer ralliart

Yeah I'm pretty stoked with the car right now
On an American dyno 395hp is 450 🤣🤣🤣
I think it's closer to 500whp tbh considering people seem to get 500whp from the MHI turbo which gets 400whp Max here
