    I did mine on lathe, just cut the tubes shorter and made threads to them on the inside so i could lock the springs on there with threaded aluminium plug/bolt. And just cut the springs shortes same amount. Imo it looks cleaner without forks poking up from the t clamp.

    Rear sets and having 18 or 17 inches rims front and rear will help you on the overall look of the bike (but it have to be same size both rims) also you can play around with the gas tank position or even a better looking gas tank if you wish.
    Think about it

    @Goldguy hey , if you want a stiff front end just take out the springs and streatch them a bit , borrow your moms owen and set it to 300celcius for 3 hours and let cool and your springs are in their new normalized length and still same springyness as before and wont collaps to what they was ! best of luck and a good channel you got , fix the sound!

    I like the look of the classic cafe seat , it’s longer than what you’ve done , it would look great on yours . Consider maybe some drag bars , it would bring your shoulders up higher , more comfortable riding position . I’d be careful with the rear sets and that position , not very comfortable for riding long distances in that position specially with the handle bar set up you have at the moment . Great job lowering the front end and getting rid of the old bulky gauges .

    • @GoldGuyRides
      @GoldGuyRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Siska there is a wire coming from the tachometer/speedometer unit labeled "speed sensor or rotation sensor" and you have to connect this wire to the trigger wire coming from the pulse generator in the engine of your motorcycle

      Ben Reesor nope bo air assisted forks just oil and spring

    • @The95yj
      @The95yj 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That helps, on mine the air line an the choke is in the way. I got to looking into it. I think I’m going to convert to progressive springs. Then cut 2”s out an add the 2” spacer in at the bottom on the fork piston. So I can keep it flat at the top of the tree.

    your headlight brackets are upside down on both of your bikes.
    The guy I bought my first café racer had the same and did the same mistake, I made the same mistake while reworking my bike, and while working on my girl bikes.
    put them back upward (on your Suzuki as well) and you'll see it'll look really better !
    PS : I love your channel, you motivated me to go back working on my CB400.
    PS2 : You should try to put your speedo a little more down. stuck to the headlight, you'll have room to do it when you'll put the brackets upward ;)
