      interesting given he's been somewhat critical of the first movie. believe he said Spheeris has a tendency to forget those bands were made of "real people"

The film in which Darby Crash is shown staggering around a stage warped out of his mind on drugs and booze, yelling "GIMME A BEER!" and having people draw on him as he's slumped over slurring into the mic is now in the National Film Registry... People like me that were raised on the internet age still listen to ALBUMS in their entirety, catalogue my album collection in alphabetical order, track by track, year of release, etc etc etc The whole fucking thing 🤣🤣I never stopped listening to ALBUMS... • @sdfgikbvcdfjy
      @sdfgikbvcdfjy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BH-cr5uo The second installment in the Decline of Western Civilization series became infamous for a scene which showed Ozzy Osbourne's shaking hands pouring orange juice all over his kitchen table while making breakfast. The shot itself where he spills the liquid was filmed and inserted into the scene after the fact by the filmmakers. The same film is also infamous for its interview with W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes which shows the musician floating in his pool while he drinks vodka and describes his alcoholic lifestyle in front of his mother. I'm not sure if it was ever proven (or admitted to) but many have questioned the authenticity of this scene as well, suggesting that Holmes was refilling his vodka with pool water and pouring it over his face as a joke; but if so it's never mentioned that he was drinking anything but actual liquor.
      The Ozzy scene was actually quite controversial and a lot of fans were pissed off when it was revealed to have been staged. I've seen many comments in the past few years that indicate fans still hold a grudge to this day against the film (and its creators), which was not a very flattering picture of the excesses of heavy metal superstardom. I'm sure you can easily find the Ozzy scene on youtube if you want to see it for yourself. Just search 'Ozzy Osbourne orange juice.'

      @@Gekokujo76 I don't think what she did was so wrong that you should feel the need to deflect for her. Misleading your audience for artificial scandal isn't something I suspect most people would agree is morally just, but I don't find it hard to forgive the filmmakers. If anything the controversies surrounding the film only make it more enjoyable for me, personally. I understand that many others don't feel the same way though.
