I have a Mk2 TT and bought a Carly device then discovered that you have to pay annually for the app, and the basic app seems to do virtually nothing. Next step up was I think over AUD$100. $100 every year to change a couple of settings seemed a waste of money so the Carly sits in the glove box. Carly themselves couldn't have been less helpful.
I understand your frustration, I think the real benefit comes from the diagnostics, when you do have faults on your car Quite often fix them yourself by turning off error codes, and then dig deeper to understand if the fault needs parts to be changed, thus saving expensive diagnostics from the garage.
I'd just buy a proper code reader and diagnostic device. Scotty here on TH-cam has videos on getting affordable ones. The Carly thing is such a scam. Really need to have someone Crack the software and write a new chip with it unlocked and get the software and delete out the call back functions. They deserve it for perpetrating this scam

I think the indicator you are looking for is actually turn signal. In the us we say turn signal for indicator lol.
Hi mate. Just a quick one for you.... Were able to get the coming home lights working for you? Do you have the auto-lights /wipers sensor ? I bought obd11 but couldnt get it working so wondering if it works with carly...cheers.

Hi, off-topic but how are you guys streaming bluetooth music in the 63 models? I'm looking to pick one up soon and would like to know how.
If you get Bose headunit it’s got that functionality, if you don’t you will only be able to Bluetooth voice calls I believe.. if you get one with a basic head unit you need to use a wire to stream music
Great video mate. Do you happen to know if its true that these cars come with a valve in the exhaust from factory? I was looking at a TTS recently and it had a fault code because said valve was manually put to being open all the time (instead of only at higher revs)

hi, could you code out bulb out warnings? I could do this on my BMW 1 series when I upgraded to led lights but I'm not sure about for the TT?
At the time when I filmed this you couldn’t, but I have just filmed another one for my Scirocco and you can on that, they have introduced a lot more VAG options recently. Couldn’t tell if you now can on the TT.

Just pull the fuse for the spoiler
Is it possible to code the spoiler to rise when the car starts than lower when its turned off??
There wasn’t any options like that on Carly

I would have bought it if it let me code my spoiler to come up at 60mph instead of 80mph, im wearing my thumb out 😂
Me too….annoying thing is…..it used to (at 50mph instead of 75…) then it disappeared after a major update to the app!!
Just not worth the subscription fee the truth is you can get the USB plugs for £20 and download a app for free ore as I've dun pay £5 a year and get all you need from it, try canceling a carly subscription 2 lol its a joke. Trust me give them a miss.
