If you come to sarasota florida for food and you want mediterranean and italian dish's go to The Bohdie Tree Cafe they have amazing food and appetizers not only does it look good it tastes good also.
FIN AND CRAB at St. Armands Circle is my favorite but I will try some from yours recommendation. Great tips for new Sarasota residents!

Can't go wrong with Dry Dock Waterfront Grill on Longboat. My favorite spot for a drink and great meal.

We tried Libby's in Sarasota and it was amazing. I would add Dry Dock Grill to your list. How about a breakfast joint video, we like the Serving Spoon
