  • Finishing up the cleaning and reassembly of the carbs and as always a few tips on how and why I do some of the things I do. The next and final video in this series I will find a minor problem with the accelerator pump, after fixing that you will see and hear the bike run. Here's a link to Clifford's video that I watched before doing mine. • How to remove the carb...

In my world, if you can hold a camera and record your work while at the same time speak about the work and share knowledge, It needs a lot of co-ordination and a big heart. So you ARE the one of the few coordinated persons.

Boy, thanks for the documentary! I trust few dealers (and few want to even work on my GL1500). A bit of work, but wanna keep this baby running cause she's prolly my last motorcycle!

nice video , gonna help out for sure thanks
the heater is there to prevent ice from forming as the air goes from atmospheric to a vacuum (pressure drop) also when water evaporates it gets colder.
your carb drains are usually also internally hooked up to float bowl overfill drain (internally bypasses screw valve)

Well done without going too far. I am have to get rid of my flip phone and get one with a better camera so I can take decent photos in this type situation.

Yes Eric, you need to get with the times. They are expensive but for me a necessity. You can get a cheap brand but they are not so user friendly but all the "smart phones" take pictures now. Did you see the spark plug cleaning video with the wifi camera? you need a smart phone for that or a "tablet"

Nice video. Thanks a lot. Please help me. I need to know how to connect the IDLING REVOLUTIONS CONTROL bolt and wire to the carburetor. A mechanic disconnected it and I need to know what pieces do I need to find and how to re-connect it. Thanks a lot.

EBay has replacement parts at a reasonable price. Both kits were 44 bucks.

Only on corrosion, you still need carb cleaner to melt away the petroleum based gunk. in other words both are needed for two different kinds of cleaning.
