    I have literally paused this video at 16 minutes in because I am compelled to comment. Thank you so so much for this video. I dont think you realise how massive of a help this is (especially including links). Its a really commendable thing to share your wealth of knowledge with budding motovloggers like myself. So once again chopsy. Thank you so so much!!!! 😊

      Your very welcome Kate, it's very frustrating otherwise isnt it losing footage due to technical issues or bad quality audio. Glad I could help 👍

    Your videos are on a higher level than most TH-cam motorcycle channels, mainly because of the 360 camera.

    What an excellent summary of best tips ,ideas on set up for blogging. You’ve really opened up ideas for little ole me Taff , 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, yeah I know. Been off bikes for 19 years now , can’t believe it myself. Due to work commitments blah blah. My bikes coming in next few days to ducati Glasgow,I ordered in December . I’ve been thinking about doing something similar to yourself with bloggs etc. I’ll cut to the chase. I had a life ,or shall we say possible life changing situation in work early this morning. It wasn’t pleasant , but my colleague and myself are fine. The adrenaline has done its job and I’m now just feeling crap. I’m a young 58 , and I’m comfortable from the hard work my wife and I have put in. Total change is my way of thinking , I love bikes ,motorsport,and most importantly travelling and meeting Great people . I’ve already got a go pro 3+ that we have used mostly for diving. For a basic set up as in chin mount and good audio what would you rec now ? 360;s can come later . Look forward to hearing from you . All best Chopps👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    Great video Chops. Any chance you could do one on how you edit all the footage and your thoughts on the legal implications e.g speeding and wheelies. I want to try vlogging but don't have much self control . Think it would make good watching but don't wanna get locked up . Any advice?

    What a very interesting and informative vid. I never understood until now the magic of how those 360 camera shots appear to be from somewhere else off the bike, even though the camera is actually attached to it. Add in that you actually know how to ride a bike well and understand the mechanicals too, and we have one of the best bike vloggers around.

    You do absolutely the best job of anyone with wind noise. I've been struggling with my setup for months. It's amazing to me that GoPro just doesn't understand their motovlogging customers at all. I have tried the Hero 8 and ended up switching back to my hero 6. Even though I still need the dongle, at least I can still use ND filters with my 6. What microphone do you use inside the helmet itself? And what mic are you using with your rode wireless? I bought the "Purple" mic but not really impressed by it, the wind noise seems impossible to kill. Viewers really don't get how hard it is to make a very simple video with good sound. It's a serious labor of love.

    This October I started recording rides in Portugal and Spain on my new Ninja 1000 (see my channel) but I have really been struggling with sound quality, which meant I had to add music.
    I got myself an external audio recorder with lapel microphone which I tried placing in several positions both inside and outside the helmet with dead-cat etc. I even tried putting it under the rear mudguard to capture the exhaust sound, but instead of wind I got chain noise LOL.
    Still I haven't given up and once the weather improves I will be at it again. This video gave me some good inspiration. Thanks.
    PS: Not really a fan of the curved 360 shots though....

I’m after a little advice really, I’m thinking of getting a phone mount from ultimate addons but have been told that the vibration through the bike will damage the camera/other parts of the phone. I just bought a Sony X3000R, but have heard the external audio is terrible (gain too high), so might send it back.
    The Insta360 One R looks good but read they have ruined the external audio on that too.
    GoPro 9 required that stupid massive audio adaptor, and currently it doesn't even work until a new firmware update.
    DJI Osmo seems to have decent audio with their much neater adaptor.

      Start knocking doors basically, review you own bikes so you can use that as an example. It's a bit chicken and the egg scenario, you need some decent content to show what your doing but need access to the bikes to get it.. but dealers are more open to it these days for sure

    This amount of cameras makes me so jealous! 😂 I went from the Hero 4 Silver to the 6 and all I get now are mic issues with that block of an adaptor they give you!

      Yes exactly, all I ever hear from people with later versions is moaning about lost and poor audio. Just not worth the agro!

    Chops. Off topic but what’s the better road bike in your opinion. Purely for giggles. Out of the gen2 1290 superduke r or the mt-10?

    • @LambChopRides
      @LambChopRides  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Defo Superduke but MT10 is cheaper and certainly a real hoot to ride. I rode one recently and forgot how good they are

    As a smaller TH-cam channel I found that really interesting. Still using the Hero 4 on the helmet Hero 7 on the bike but just today my Insta 360 one X2 has arrived 🍾🍾 lots of folks appear to edit the 360 footage on their phone but I would like closer control and edit on my PC. Is there a particular software you are using to edit the 360 on your PC?
    At the moment I'm using the latest Adobe Premier elements to edit the Gopro and Audio.

    • @LambChopRides
      @LambChopRides  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the insta360 pc software, I wouldn't use anything else as it has so many addins just for the cameras. Software has improved and is now very very good

      @@LambChopRides I've just used it to edit a first test, blown away how good both the camera and the editing software is. Opens up so many more possibilities for us who predominantly make motorcycle tour vids. Cheers and thanks for the reply 👍👍👍

    Would certainly consider the latest Insta360 One X2 instead of a GoPro if I was to do anything for personal use.

      Thsnks Ironman, I use the insta360 pc software to edit the 360 parts and Sony Vegas to do the actual final video 👍

    The Sony works well as a webcam and the lens focal length is far better than an actual webcam - less distortion.
