Here I show you how to trim a horse tail with a brush and pair of scissors - with my secret horsewoman's technique to make sure your horse's tail is *level while the horse is moving*, to show it off to it's very best advantage.

I roll up a big towel and sit under the dock, top of the tail, same concept just easier than holding your arm under it..I worked for a very high level equestrian in Australia and he was very fussy about tail..never brushed , only used a very wide comb.

What sort of scissors do you suggest? A good pair of kitchen scissors? Hairdressing scissors?

So long as they're sharp you're good, sewing scissors or kitchen scissors work, big and sharp
