I love my old M12 radio because it is small and has great sound. 90% of the time I work alone so no conflict over music or volume. When I hire a helper, no radio because communication is important.
I also have an old style 18 volt Milwaukee boom box. That beast stays plugged in in the shop and has fantastic sound. I converted it to Bluetooth by adding a receiver from Best Buy for $20.

IMO would’ve liked to see a hardwired cord or a plug built in for an extension cord like the radius lights because that power supply is just gonna fuck right off somewhere and never been seen again. 🤷🏼♂️

Nice can't wait for this...it would be freaking awesome going forward if Milwaukee got the future radio chargers tuned by JBL. JBL sound stage on their speakers have super crisp highs, bumping bass, and very good mids. Also have a USB Type C Power Delivery port that can charge devices a lot faster than the standard USB 2.1 A port

I love Milwaukee tools, I think I own 70% of their line up. I’m not a big fan of their radios even though I try hard. I’ll give this one a try if I don’t like it, I think it will be the last one!

Lack of DAB is a real shame and that would have sealed the deal for me, but I guess you can stream that from a phone. That does drain your data though.

Why even mention that it's specifically bluetooth 4.2? That's not a good thing, it's going on 6 years old. Any new bluetooth devices coming out in 2020 should be Bluetooth 5.0.

Sorry Milwaukee, nice but I'm into stereo sound not mono. I'd rather listen to my beat-up 20 dollar flea market CD stereo boom box with the safety wire antenna. That new M12 one's ok if we want to listen to the weather or news but most ppl want to listen to some music that sounds good. 2020 and this is what you came up with? SMH...

@@mikeknoeber6507 I hope they take it as constructive criticism b/c I love my Milwaukee tools & their innovative inventive designs & ideas are far better than most of the competition IMHO. I also understand they're trying to keep the costs down with this M12 model & they have bigger better stereo radios in their line-up. I would rather have better sound in stereo speakers without all the bells & whistles of charger port, USB ports etc. But I do like it to have Bluetooth, 3.5mm Aux jack, good digital AM/FM receiver & antenna w/presets & a water proof cellphone compartment & include a short 3.5mm male to male cable to connect to a cellphone headphone jack or a MP3 player etc..
Yes because a radio that sits in the corner of the jobsite even with stereo speakers, will be heard in stereo from a cross the room. 🤦♂️
