    No mention about reliability?!
    That's the most expensive "feature" of a Land Rover and unfortunately, they're not optional.

      Just lease the thing. Why buy a new car and worry about reliability?? Makes no sense.... and before you say that leasing isn't financially smart, you don't buy a car over 50k because it's smart. You drive luxury vehicles because you have plenty of cash and want to

      @@aztec1040 Yeah, just see how well leasing protects you from reliability issues in remote areas of Australia. Hell, even in major regional areas warranty/service issues look pretty bad.
      If you're remote in Australia and your vehicle manufactures behaves like many are suggesting Land Rover Australia does, you're likely to be just as out of pocket as an outright owner is. Especially if you're towing a caravan th-cam.com/video/LcbNej5LjII/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=NextLevelOZBigLapGapYear

      The kind of people that buy a defender usually don’t care about long term reliability, it’s more for the cool factor

    My 2019 Jeep Sahara JLU back door also opened to curb. Love love love my 2021 Land Rover 90 X-can’t even compare the rides, night and day, no more white knuckling on the highway. Plus, the LR can go anywhere and is super fast.

    I’ve driven the base model for about 2 years. Here’s what I can say.for the price it’s a bit spartan. Some of the plastic is cheap feeling. Infotainment is competent and not annoying to use. The sensors detect shit that isn’t there, and I wouldn’t trust the autostop feature with my life. Very limited cargo space which can be a pain. VERY LOUD, it rattles like a maraca and economy is lacking. HOWEVER, it’s a fuckin beast off road, super good cameras, great speaker system, lack of length it makes up for in roof height, has decent power at little less than 300 hp and it’s very comfortable when driving long distance. If you’re looking for a bronco that screams I have money and not a small penis. Get this.

    I had a Defender. It is not "strong" off road. It wheel lifts very dangerously, like a crossover. Compared to body on frame competition, it is a soft roader.
    I loved it, but it underperformed on trails, so I kept using my 4Runner and waiting for the new GX

    • @bsjddjk
      @bsjddjk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      🤡 lying & thinking ppl don't know about defender soft offroader ? defender or u?

    • @lunamaria1048
      @lunamaria1048 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bsjddjk The Defender is unibody like a car, making it a large crossover. I has front AND rear independent suspension, like a car/crossover, which limits off road articulation. Body-on-frame trucks like my 4Runner have a rear solid axle that articulates under the vehicle. Some trucks, like the Jeep Wrangler have front AND rear solid axles, giving them even more articulation. You can't make fully independent suspension good for rock crawling, period.

    • @bsjddjk
      @bsjddjk ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@lunamaria1048 this comment was exactly what ppl said when new defender was revealed with its spec & it became completely opposite when it got to sale kiddo u really think your toyota 4 runner is more capable than a defender ? nice assumption but sorry your lie is busted

    • @lunamaria1048
      @lunamaria1048 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bsjddjk You can see it in EVERY video where the Defender is on rock crawling or uneven trails. It wheel lifts obsessively, like any crossover, because there is no axle articulating under it. If a front tire drops into a rut, the opposite rear tire lifts in the air, and the same if rear tire drops in a rut. That can NOT be avoided with independent suspension, and is dangerous in steep uneven hills. Solid axles articulate freely under the body of a moving vehicle, articulating into ruts while keeping the body level, and more wheels on the ground. Fully independent suspension CAN NOT do that, and they wheel lift over uneven terrain, because of how independent suspension works. PERIOD.
      The Defender is a great vehicle, but it has the weakness that ALL fully independent suspensions vehicles do.

    • @makeveli3970
      @makeveli3970 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bsjddjk You don't actually own a 4x4 and never have. . Crossovers and cars can't articulate off-road like trucks can with solid axles. It dont matter how much anyone likes the Defender it still suffers the pros and cons of independent suspension. She is talking about rock crawling which requires articulating axles or you just wheel lift which is dangerous and hard on any vehicle and causes loss of traction so gets stuck more. The Defender is just a big crossover that can't hang with the big boys like Jeep Wrangler or modded 4runners

    The biggest con is the fact that this is a bit like putting a pair of axles on my Macbook and pushing it along an off-road trail. Far too many integrated electronic sensors. Absolutely insane in fact. Electronics=Shorter life/more unreliability.
