Definitely like the deep sound from the MBRP! I dont like the location of either. I prefer more of the dual straight pipes.
The MBRP has a deeper tone and sounds really really good. The Roush seems to have just a little slight rasp to it. That's what I heard I might be wrong but I did hear it slightly. I'm using bluetooth stereo headphones and it does pick up sounds really good
I had a 2.5" MBRP catback on my '18 F150. I was going up the hill in one town I use to live in, running around 2500-3000 RPM and stopped in a parking lot. I had a cop come up behind me thinking I didn't have any exhaust, but he saw the tips on the side and let me be. 😅

@@reggiemurphy7028 Most definitely do it because it sounds good. Some people have asked if I have duals or straight pipe and I have neither. I have a single pipe with a MBRP muffler.

The MBRP sounds more beastly to me
I went with the MBRP 409SS version for my 2016 F150, it's been 5 years and I have absolutely NO regrets. I have received many compliments and several other F150 owners have asked me what brand the exhaust is.
I got the borla S type duel tip on my 17 5.0 and it’s pretty sweet, no drone highway loud when you’re into it and quite when cruising, expensive but with Canadian winters with salt and brine on the roads you need the stainless unless you want a new one ever 5 years or so

I think the roush would be the perfect all around exhaust for that truck. Somewhat quiet at low RPMs and nice and loud at the upper RPMs. Nice video! Keep em comin!

I have a Roush system on my FX4 and it was VERY loud, reminded me of the old glass pack systems from back in the day, lots of popping and kind of a harsh sound. In my opinion, the way it comes out of the box the Roush is not a family friendly exhaust if the truck is your daily driver. I ended up ordering a polished SS straight through turbo muffler style muffler from Summit Racing and added it to the mid pipe of the Roush. That did the trick for me, mellowed it out but it was still a nice sound at full throttle. Great videos by the way, you guys do a great job.
What were the adjustments that was made to the MBRP exhaust to angle away from the tire?

You'd definitely know if it was the V6 Ecoboost, because it would sound like total 💩 with loud exhaust on it.
I put the MBRP 3" cat back single side exit T409 on my '19 f150 5.0 and I love it. It's got a real nice rumble without being obnoxious.
Interior noise?
@@BC08 there is some interior noise. But not enough that you can't hold a conversation. Once I reach cruising speed it's really not an issue. For me at least. I've had it a couple years now and am still very happy with it.
I got the Roush kit on my 2017 F-150, I LOVE it.

Just ordered SPD high flow cats and MBRP exhaust yesterday with SCT live wire ts tuner. Not sure how the high flow cats will effect the sound but liking the MBRP sound better in the video. OEM cats are cooked so figured I’d have a little fun with fixing the issue. 2016 F150 Lariat Special Edition, 131k miles and the cats are falling apart internally, can hear the metal rattling around in there.
I like the MBRP sound. A deep rumble but it won’t fit on my new one cuz I’ve got the full length hide away steps.
That system with a a rear or side rear exit would be my choice.
I have a 2019 roush f150 with the level 1 exhaust it sounds good but not obnoxious but they also have a level 2, and 3 that way louder . I like the level 1 it sounds good if you get on it but doesn't annoy the neighbors when you come home but I'm 55 if you're 20 you probably would want the loudest . You already have a truck that draws attention if you get to loud you will probably draw the wrong type of attention.
I have a 2018 tundra with the TRD dual catback exhaust with Black chrome tips. It sounds so good , much deeper than these for sure , but I’m thinking of getting an F-150 5.0 . And if I do I’m going for the Roush exhaust

Surprised to see late 80s mustang gauges in these new trucks. I've always thought Roush was over priced but they both sound good. Depends on if u want a deep tone or a raspy Roush lol. Do a varex setup if they have one for these trucks.

I put a Flowmaster system on my truck. It sounds great but the chrome tips yellowed very quickly. I also have an Airaid intake along with a tune. It's loud. It will rattle windows in the neighborhood.
I used to be able to set off car alarms and flicker street lights with a motorcycle I had, if I hit the right note.
What engine those trucks have a V8 or a V6 if it's a V6 it sounds great please let us know in the future the engine size so we can have a better perspective I'm making that decision to put an exhaust system I have the EcoBoost in my 2016 150 but thank you I always enjoy your videos keep up the good work

What was the modification you did to the MBRP to turn the outlets away from the back tires?
They both sound good. I noticed that the Roush exhaust sounds like a Cobra/GT Mustang. Yes I know the F150 has a 5.0 engine. The MBRP exhaust doesn't give off that Cobra/GT sound.

I put the Flowmaster Outlaw series on my 2018 5.0 and it rips these two to shreds. But I prefer MBRP out of these two though

I love the exhaust! I would highly recommend the flowmaster outlaw series. I believe it comes with the super 44 muffler, tiny little fucker! Hahaha. I did install it myself. I have my truck lifted a little with 33” toyos, hardest part was getting factory exhaust off. I can send some photos if you like.
I put a glasspack on mine and I really like it. I used to have a 40 series and thought it had more cab drone than external sound.
The Outlaw is obnoxiously loud. If your 18 years old I guess it's "cool." As in you think your cool while your neighbors and 95% of the people on the street think you are a jackass.

When I had my 2013 mustang with Roush axle backes my dealer didn't give me any trouble as far as warranty. Do you think putting after market cat back on a new F150 5.0 would effect the warranty in any way?

Hey i know this is an old vid so prob wont get a reply but, do you remember what offset the wheels were on the black f150 with the roush exhaust? and were those fender flares from roughcountry or where they from? Im wanting to do fender flares on a truck but I wanna make sure ther wheels still have some poke, i dont wanna add fender flares just to find out they hide the wheels cause then it just looks weird
Original 2011 Raptor 6.2L Supercrew owner...And I AGREE..you get what you pay for..If you are on a budget, its understandable... It took me over a year and half figuring out what exhaust i wanted to do.. I ended up purchasing Corsa Extreme....Now, its in the $11-1200 neighborhood if im not mistaken.. Corsa offers 2 levels of this exhaust..Its cat-back..The extreme will piss of your neighbors on cold starts..It deletes the resonator on the extreme... So punching the gas pedal, she roars...But even if you dont go extreme, she still sings beautifully...NO Drone on either... I will also say, use youtube to your benefit..If you are unsure of the noise(sound) of a particular exhaust, most likely you will find a video with the model of truck you are looking to do..Thats what I did, and thats how i came across Corsa..I absolutely LOVE the way Corsa sounds with my 6.2L... And i just want to say, in NO way am I receiving ANY compensation from Corsa... Just a very HAPPY customer...
In my opinion run dual flows out the back like I did to my lifted f150 an mine is twice as loud as the Roush one
As someone with a Flowmaster Outlaw on his 5.0, both of these are downright quiet. Lol.

Bad idea on the MBRP. That is right below where the cab fresh air vent is. Fumes will definitely fill the cab at a redlight if you sit there long enough.
Roush for sure. You get a different experience in person no doubt!

With the roush performance does it come with res delete or is that something you would have to get done?
Like you said Roush is more. But with MBRP you get a unique sound. Yes you might have to adjust something. But that is is included in modifying your vehicle. Roush sounds muffled. MBRP has sound that makes look for the vehicle that is miles away but you can hear it.....

I have 2017 4x4 white gold f150 supercrew. truck has a 33 in by 20in ri m. I ike the sound of the BMRP. My question is that i want double tip on both sides. Of the 2 tires is that possible to do? Let kmow with yor concerns are, thanks Jaames

I'm looking at getting the MBRP Black system for my 19 5.0L F150 but was concerned about it pointing straight at the tire as well. I do most of the work on my vehicles myself since I enjoy working on cars and what not so I was wondering what you did to modify to achieve the different angle?
We cut and then we rewelded the tips at a better angle.

I still like my borla atak on my 2014 f150 with the 5.0Ltr. But its twice the price the these two.
Only problem with the MBRP, the material used. down south you would be fine, anywhere that salt is used for snow, that would rust out in a year or maybe two.
is that mbrp system the resonated (5262) or non-resonated (5260) version? I feel like it's the non-res but that's not whats shown in the video

If I was going to spend almost a grand on an exhaust I would go with the Borla Atak. Loud as hell, but quit in the cab at cruising speed.

Not there but if you were running stock tires I think the MBRP would have fit un-modified.
