Hello everyone 👍 I'm pretty impressed with how this filter has helped the development of my Fluval Shaker aquarium. What do you think?

For cleaning i turn off the filter then turn off the valves, then remove the imput and turn on the filter.. open the output valve to drain the filter. Then close the valve and unplug the filter... Makes maneuvering it easier. And there is still a syphon on the imput so it fills itself back up.
I do this for checking pads and floss.

Hi. I have 2 66 gal Shakers. Both have a FX2 & 407 running on them. I have Peacocks in the tanks ( max of 8 per tank ). All show males and they love it. I might upgrade to a 125gal one day. I’ll use the 2 FX2’s to filter the 125gal when the day comes. I love these FX filters. Great video, keep up the good work.

How's the noise of the fx2s? Im deciding between that and a sicce 350 or 500 for the same size tank

There's a reason FX have such a great name mate hey.
Tank is looking amazing. Amazing what patience and attention to detail can achieve hey.

Thanks mate. Still a little ways to go with it but I'm happy with the progress

@@EverydayAquarist should be mate. It's going great. Probably you don't see as much because you're looking at it every day but for us only seeing it occasionally looks like a big change and progress.

Does the fx2 fit in your cabinet? I'm wanting to add one to my shaker 252 but unsure if it fits in the cabinet

Great video. I used to keep freshwater tropical fish in the U.K. for a few years but now I live in Thailand and I just want to keep a pair of common clownfish in a 3 or 4-foot tank maybe x 1.5 feet breath. The reason of the tank is fairly big just for 2 small fish is that I want to do partial water changes but not every week. Is this a good idea? Also do you have to do more water changes or partial water changes to marine fish? Thank you.

Get a derasa clam they are very good filters and so good you might need to add food.
They can reduce food for algea growth and will reduce magnesium iron and calcium for there shells.
If you don't want that get a very small sea urchin lets say black or blue tie sea urchin they get no bigger then 5 inches they love hair algae you will need only 1 and 2 maximum any more thell eat all the food and get hungry and go after corls so 1 or 2 max.

Have you connected the fx2 to the cabinet inlet and outlet? I’m curious if it’s worth changing the 307 for fx2 :)

Would it be possible to request a video about the right way to have flow going in a tank?

Would a fluval 307 be sufficient to filter a 100 liter reef tank.

Yes. If you could go 407 even better. But if you have a 307 stick it on. 😊

Weird video to ask you, I’ve had fresh waters tanks for over a decade and am going to step into saltwater. Would you recommend the Fluval Flex 32.5 gallon marine tank as someone’s first saltwater tank?

Why not compare with the 307? I have no use for such a big filter and I really like the 407 on my FW tank. How does this FX2 compare with the 307?

Cut the lighting hours down, weekly water change. Also cut feeding down by half. That will clear up in no time 👍
