Realistically you get the same result if you use backup mag with appended, it’s a 7 shot difference. If you happen to use enhanced killing tally you’re just eating your reload speed by using extended over appended, extended makes that roll specifically hit the cap of 115, appended with it is 114. Not saying you’re wrong btw, just throwing this out there as well.

It would be too strong is the issue, because of the weapons it rolls on. FTTC requires crits and on limited weapon types. Decon is also too easy to activate on certain weapon types. It needs a buff but making it generate free ammo would be too much
@@ReeceRacc It wasn't bugged per-se. I mean, they went out of their way and fixed it on wave frames. Originally you had to do something funky where you directly hit them when the payload, and then if the payload drops on their foot or something, and then gets hit by the wave, THEN it would count for Deconstruct. Then Bungie fixed it to work with just the wave, giving infinite ammo for hitting 3 enemies with the wave. THEN they changed it to no longer give ammo back from thin air and instead from reserves. So it's likely they had 2 options. Change it so the explosive don't count towards Deconstruct procs to make it proc less often on them (making it a pretty dead perk on any GL or RL of any frame) or keep it's activations ease of use but make it so it takes reserves. Considering how many things work the the explosive portion of weapons or perks I wouldn't be surprised if they realize how many things in the game could break if they changed what does and doesn't work with explosives, that they went with the easier option of just making it take reserves.
I wish they'd unnerf as well and give ammo out of thin air. I had a shiny 5/5 edge transit deconstruct/BnS that I loved. It didn't out dps the other version but I rather have a higher total dmg in like 99% of activities. Now it still doesn't out dps other guns AND it has much worse total dmg. I'm keeping it just hoping for a reverse..

The best way to do it is to have something be op for a little while and then nerf it so the next weapon that gets added is actually worth getting. It's a looter shooter you're supposed to get new loot.
I find adagio great on this gun It is a 30% dmg bonus and bonus stability at the cost of fire rate. The gun has such an high RPM that you don't feel the con at all,actually the con and the bonus stability make the gun way easier to handle! Imo it's worth a ride
Just understand that Adagio does reduce your DPS. And I'm not talking about for bosses but for yellow bars and champs. You gain much more total damage and better ammo economy though so it's not without it's upsides. Just something to consider (and I know a few out there are likely going to be using this for DPS anyways lol)
I can’t control a 900rpm lmg for shit on controller. It’s impossible. I still go with my vorpal genesis SWARM adept 360rpm because that is way easier to control😂
I agree, especially on weapons with high rpm in its class. 720 auto rifles, 180 hand canons, 900 sub machine guns. Love having adagio with these weapons.
Hard disagree, envious means you have to ad clear with your other weapons before you can ad clear with your ad clear weapon. Enlightened action is just better for machine guns than envious.
FYI the radiolaria pools count as weapon damage. So it proccs perks like deconstruct or strategist. This used to apply to incan too, but bungie reverted that REAL quick early in the episode.
Yeah that alone saves Destabilizing Rounds on Choir. Usually that perk can be a little underwhelming, but since it can trigger from the pools plus have it actually take the nearby enemies out before they leave range? Adds way more value.
I actually really enjoy this gun on my solar build. Crafted it with Envious and incandescent. 300+ rounds in the mag and constant ignitions is super fun
I really want to try Speleologist + Strategist with Promethium Spurs As the only Legendary Solar Heavy Machine Gun that can get Strategist, they’re practically made to be used together: As you mow down ads it will spit out little mini wells (Healing + Empowering Rifts) …and since it’s solar, it will refund Rift energy alongside the Strategist refund. Plus Strategist also increases stability which will be perfect for the rapid fire frame
Adagio is amazing on this gun too, it lowers your rpm which is great because it makes you use your ammo less. it doesnt do a ton for damage but its just so good for ammo economy
Everyone not using Photo Finish on this season's weapons is incorrect. When weapons can glow, they're just the bestest ever. It's science. I don't make the rules.
I kept the roll because of the uniqueness. But I gotta be honest, LMGs are still in a weird spot when almost any other heavy archetype is simply a better choice in your typical situations where you need to nuke something big very quickly. They also require you to hang out in the danger zone while trying to burn down said things which can often kill you in a few shots. If I can take something out with a couple linear shots or less, I'm picking that first.
If you’re able to get 3 easy kills quick at the start of the mag…. Wouldn’t the consistent 30% from killing tally add up to me more than target lock? Target lock doesn’t get above killing Tallys consistent damage until a good chunk of the mag is gone. So 40% from deconstruct multiplicatively with killing tally 30% after around 10-12 shots (if you have easy ads to kill)…. Vs. 40% deconstruct times the slowly ascending damage of target lock which goes up to 45% after more than a full magazine…. I’d just like to know if target lock will definitely win out over the consistent killing tally from almost the start of the magazine. Obviously neither of them will compare to surrounded as nothing really does… but like everyone always says surrounded is very situational but if your able to proc it safely and consistently it’s always the best option.
If bungie classified more enemies as vehicles or constructs then deconstruct world actually be a viable perk. Shanks, servitors, brigs, hive traps on the ground, fallen walkers, cabal tanks, cabal drop ships, shadow legion shield generators, and scorn totems, scorpius and fallen turrets, void crystals, vex nodes, etc. if they all received the damage bonus and it was clear that everything that seems like a vehicle or construct counts as one then deconstruct would be an A tier perk instead of a C tier perk.
Thank you for pointing out that heal clip does NOT belong on this weapon. Literally have heal clip on a sidearm, scout, wave frame hell we LITERALLY have a weapon labeled as the “don’t die gun” remember when they put in the TWAB that it could roll with heal clip and immediately knew they were running out of ideas

i like the combo whit arowhead break barel tacticak mag stats for all and incandesent when incandesent scorch targets near the first kill it trigers stats for all that makes it instead of a hard to controle machine gun a stable machine gun in the mod i use backup mag to get a mag size of 100 recoil direcktion of 88

I put alloy mag with the rework, and stats for all and incandescent, this thing is reloading about as fast as an SMG, even without the SFO reload, just the new alloy magazine perk allows me to reload very quickly
I feel like they should rework Deconstruct to get a damage buff against any mechanical enemy, then they could make a counterpart for biological enemies. If they were to do that it'd need a nerf, though...

Honestly i would've liked it way better a 600 or 450rpm 900s do so little damage because of the high fire rate i feel like they could've been way better with a slower rate.. take 360s for example you can literally watch each hit take a chunk out and 900s basically take the whole mag to do the same.. idk i might craft one and try it but i doubt I'll use it after a few test runs

How is Envious Assassin + Target Lock not better? You get 300-ish rounds with Envious Assassin. Am I mistaken about the synergy here? I'm assuming Target Lock doesn't consider the Envious overflow as "base mag", and therefore you get 200 rounds of max stack damage. Granted FTTC is completely self contained and generates bullets from thin air. I'm just worried I misunderstand how Target Lock works with Envious Assassin.
Envious assassin is not good for lmgs as it's the weapon you're using for add clear. Envious is meant for weapons you use for high health targets, built up with your add clear weapon.
I don’t get the deconstruct perk. It says that it works only on constructs and vehicles. But in the video and even aztecross said it himself that it can proc on normal enemies too?? I’m Pretty sure those beefy fallen (literally watch the weapon buffs) aren’t vehicles
I'll never understand what made them create a new archetype of machine gun (600s) and then follow it up with the worst archetype of the bunch. Speleologist should've been a 600, but now we've gotta wait till probably Episode 3 for a Solar 600 MG.
For what you want to be using an MG for though… the gun is pretty mid. The Rapid Fire frame hurts its viability a lot due to much lower total damage and difficult recoil. Incandescent is good but it’s not some miracle perk. And it’s not the only MG to have incandescent. Fixed Odds, the trials MG and the dawning MG all have had it before on better archetypes. Overall, it’s a niche pick for when we get an activity where you can really take advantage of Deconstruct + damage perk. Otherwise, there are better options.
Does killing tally work with transverse steps as far as just sprinting to reload and not actually hitting the reload button to keep the buff? If so that’s a killer combo
I'm going to go ahead and say Envious Assassin and Incandescent is my roll simply because I can swap to other weapons and can reload my gun while still doing damage.
Idk, imma keep fixed odds, rapid fire lmgs aren't in a good spot conpared to half of thr others. They just shoot way too fast and have horrible ammo economy
To many great lmgs to justify using this. Bungie themselves touted this as an "ad clearing monster" so I'll never understand why they bother putting work into developing this but not adding reconstruction to column 3. That's ALL it would have taken to put this is S tier and making it the only rapidfire with reconstruction as well. Yes, adaptives and high inpact lmgs are better for ad clear, but rapids are good as well as having higher dps. We have some good solar lmgs with the best being Fixed Odds for ad clear and Avalanche for damage but none can match what we have for void and arc.

You can have 342 rounds in the mag with extended mag with envious assassin backup mag too

Envious+Adagio combo is slept on. You get an add clear with DPS combo.

This is exactly what I crafted, and I use Darkest Before with Incan and deconstruct in my energy. Infinite solar free reloads!

You can also drop a lot of them when you get multi-kills which is helpful when you get a bunch of kills on top of a spawn

Just tried this for the first time last night. Has to be my favorite heavy auto rifle now. I am building into reload for add clear and it feels great.

It's craftable, so it doesn't matter who kept it. Anyone can just go craft it and mat dumb to instant level it if we need it.

Honestly i would've liked it way better a 600 or 450rpm 900s do so little damage because of the high fire rate i feel like they could've been way better with a slower rate.. take 360s for example you can literally watch each hit take a chunk out and 900s basically take the whole mag to do the same.. idk i might craft one and try it but i doubt I'll use it after a few test runs

It's envious and target lock for great boss DPS as a well lock
even if you can proc deconstruct and surrounded it still does less than half of the dps you would get by holding left click with a bait and switch edge transit
So pretty much craft for ad clear and if we ever get a dungeon boss or raid boss or something coded as a construct then craft another one with deconstruct 👌

How is Envious Assassin + Target Lock not better? You get 300-ish rounds with Envious Assassin. Am I mistaken about the synergy here? I'm assuming Target Lock doesn't consider the Envious overflow as "base mag", and therefore you get 200 rounds of max stack damage.
Granted FTTC is completely self contained and generates bullets from thin air.
I'm just worried I misunderstand how Target Lock works with Envious Assassin.

Envious assassin is not good for lmgs as it's the weapon you're using for add clear. Envious is meant for weapons you use for high health targets, built up with your add clear weapon.

For what you want to be using an MG for though… the gun is pretty mid.
The Rapid Fire frame hurts its viability a lot due to much lower total damage and difficult recoil.
Incandescent is good but it’s not some miracle perk. And it’s not the only MG to have incandescent. Fixed Odds, the trials MG and the dawning MG all have had it before on better archetypes.
Overall, it’s a niche pick for when we get an activity where you can really take advantage of Deconstruct + damage perk. Otherwise, there are better options.

Does killing tally work with transverse steps as far as just sprinting to reload and not actually hitting the reload button to keep the buff? If so that’s a killer combo

I'm going to go ahead and say Envious Assassin and Incandescent is my roll simply because I can swap to other weapons and can reload my gun while still doing damage.
Idk, imma keep fixed odds, rapid fire lmgs aren't in a good spot conpared to half of thr others. They just shoot way too fast and have horrible ammo economy
I like the machine gun but with even recoil mods it’s very jumpy on controller. Much jumpier than retrofit imo…
To many great lmgs to justify using this. Bungie themselves touted this as an "ad clearing monster" so I'll never understand why they bother putting work into developing this but not adding reconstruction to column 3. That's ALL it would have taken to put this is S tier and making it the only rapidfire with reconstruction as well. Yes, adaptives and high inpact lmgs are better for ad clear, but rapids are good as well as having higher dps. We have some good solar lmgs with the best being Fixed Odds for ad clear and Avalanche for damage but none can match what we have for void and arc.
