Hey Aztecross just some extra lore as to why he threw the prismatic grenade onto the arm instead of the weak spot at 14:05 , he placed it in a very specific way to allow it to damage the Witness's chest that allowed ignitions more often and shatters, just enough damage over 3 phases to cut through that tiny little bit of pre-final stand health. For some reason, if throwing it right on the weak spot, it would not hit the heart every tick of damage.
This guy played 5D chess with this encounter and it was absolutely legendary.

Yea esp when bro was able to acrobat dodge dbl nade still hunt noscope in one dodge that threw me off but i figured as soon as i saw the yellow tick after a second it was some mad sorcery going on
turning to shoot special ammo in the middle of his damage rotation is amazing. clean as fuck.
Vulpecula makes it possible, without explosive payload you wouldn’t be able to consistently get ammo.
@@noahthatcher3729Perses-D can also get shoot to loot explosive payload in the same slot but hand cannons are generally more useful because they lose less accuracy to movement and vulpecula gets better in air accuracy because it’s a 180. It also has has a bigger damage output
It's actually the cleanest thing I've ever seen. The knowledge and on the spot calculating to do that is wild

@@thatguyyouhate3743 and higher AE, icarus grip makes it pretty much max accuracy in air, super important for shoot to loot primaries.
His damage rotation spreads across his entire loadout like butter, its so clean. On top of that, he’s taken account for his animation cancels, D2 does prevent shot-swapping your guns as it forces the player to wait the full duration on reloads. But BogDog is animation cancelling with other key parts of his rotation so he never has to wait for weapons to ready up again.
Cayde’s Retribution right into transcendence was so cleeeeeean!

I was there to see the kill about 15min after he posted the video, the Solo Witness kill is by far the greatest solo achievement currently available
Yes now but previously I'd say solo Atheon was harder as alot of the difficulty came from mechaics rather then just the damage.
Doing just the mechics solo for this isn't the hard part
He was solo’d 9 raid bosses back to back no deaths. Which took him over 900 attempts. This is AMAZING. But he has better achievements
Just enjoy that someone did something challenging and cool, why the fuck you gotta compare apples to oranges instead of just enjoying them both

Exactly what I was thinking. Even while he was turning to proc shoot to loot during damage rotation, all i was thinking about was that damn smg 😂
They need to give smgs on console way more stability. I remember when smgs first came out and they were even worse on console back then, literally unusable cuz they kicked to the top of the screen uncontrollably

after watching probably 30 hours of live attempts I was determined not to miss it. Since damage wasn't the best ever going into third damage phase I was kind of dozing off during setup for third. I ended up half asleep by the time he killed and I awoke to the yelling. Super happy for bog since he definitely deserved it but I'm upset I missed it while literally watching the screen.
It's really cool how even the Destiny youtube channel left a comment on this guy's video.

This was fantastically clean. The damage rotations, the build swaps and shoot to loot MID DAMAGE PHASE, all of it. This was incredible.

What's wild about this is that it's not with some cheesy bullshit like other solo raid boss clears. Nez and Riven both required some real bullshit cheese. This is just pure skill.

Legend has it he’s still on a short break.
This guy switches were so fast that it literally took just 2 screen frames to do it. I was trying to freeze the image to look at what he was switching to and had to come down to the frame by frame option in TH-cam to find out. Really remarkable.
Legends say he is still taking his short break.
The progress on this was unreal to watch live over the weeks he was grinding it. I was even lucky enough to be in the runs where he was testing final stand strats, that alone took at least 13-15 hours.

I have some friends that play on ps4, the weapons, armour and subclass may take an eternity to load but loadouts are almost instant, the only limitant would be the console's cursor that takes a bit longer than a pc one
Loadouts at the top of the list are actually faster to swap to on console, different story for the ones at the bottom but the PC vs console difference for pve in destiny is not as big as people make it out to be

did anyone else catch that Shoot To Loot at the start of 3rd damage phase at 13:43? that was less than a second and it was near impeccable aim, and then to rapidly spin back to the correct orientation for damage? and then he does it again at 13:55, the same ammo brick, the same angle. that was wild!

As a dad i been playing destiny since it came out. I been trying to get vexmythoclast for 10 years!! I finally got it 2 days before final shape dropped. My son invited me to run the raid and got it !! I screamed and yelled after 10 long years. 😂

@@rubenjaimes1194 nice. It's good for low level stuff, even the legendary campaign. But it falls off drastically once you get into Master difficulty stuff.

Remember when wr didn't have infinite primary? I did a legend lost sector that had an overload champ that was a raid boss, and absolutely went to NPC heaven because I could not get ammo.
