To be fair every “meta” there’s like a handful of top tier exotics and everything else just kinda exists. Not necessarily bad or good, they just happen to be there.
For deathbringer, they should update the catalyst to also lock on a specific target if you aim. Like you would aim DB at a target, then aim up and fire. All the orbs would target the specific target. And if you want to crowd control with it, just fire without aiming.
@aleatheltrashcan478 a better version. One that can add control and do major dps without needing to kill enemies first. Plus, it starts singular and then volley. I've experienced and seen multiple people shoot the volley of eyes of tommor rockets, and some would hit walls/random stuff. That would happen rarely, if at all with DB.
How about it just gets two shots or auto loading holster. Boom instant more useful ness. Still niche, still not the best, but hey not everything can be peak.
Also it should carry two rockets in the mag by default. Also if they wanna be really silly they could make fully ramped projectiles make enemies volatile.
I did Presage Legend on Fireteam Finder the other night, and this Warlock rolls in with double trace, Black Talon, and blink. I asked twice if everyone was ready, they said they were, so we took off. Had to go back to orbit so he could take blink off, but he really ran double trace and Black Talon intentionally. That guy proceeded to rock the activity. I was stunned.
That's .. wild. Legend presage can be quite annoying rather rhan difficulty but double trace w/BLACK TALON???? A mad lad you love to hear stories about.
Deterministic chaos would be so much better if they just gave it the catalyst that's already in the API, for those who don't know, deterministic Chaos's catalyst in the API says that it gives it forth times the charm, this would make it amazing, maybe not the strongest DPS machine ever but it would be able to consistently apply those void debuffs and just lay on the trigger while having great ammo economy
On Tommy's Matchbook: It's kinda dogwater 90% of the time, BUT, much like running necro w/ Thorn, running a healer build on warlock w/ Speaker's just absolutely unlocks this thing. Speaker's was the missing piece to make this thing COOK. I have the thing causing ignitions CONSTANTLY on higher health targets, and I'm just sitting there, practically unable to die. Aztecross featured it in a build battle if you wanted to check it out! Suuuper fun build, highly recommend if you wanna give it a try. Theoretically (need to try this myself), you might be able to run prismatic, healing grenade, as many scorch aspects as you can, Hellion, Devour, and do the same thing but w/ the addition of Prismatic? Idk but the base pure solar is soo good.
It’s been fantastic on Titan with precious scars/lorelys especially with artifact perks. The current auto rifle mods make it fucking crazy especially the loading one. Honestly my favorite exotic weapon as a sun breaker main since TK
I'm so annoyed because DM is one of the best wave frames in the game after the nerf to legendary wave frames and chain reaction but he calls it garbage tier and invalidates anyone trying to explain why it's not

Not that really matters, but for anyone who cares, a good trick you can do when making a tierlist in front of an audience, start by setting 2 benchmarks, something you think is in the highest tier and something that's in the lowest, it gives the audience a better frame of reference from the start allowing for a clear understanding from the jump

Nah I feel inclined to agree with c tier, our weapons have gotten so damn powerful that the chip damage that witherhoard offers is ellipsed by other exotic special and technically now has its job stolen by lost signal. Not terrible but replaceable: Easy C tier
Skyburner's oath is not that bad, the hipfire applies scorch really well for a primary. Sure it's no sunshot, but that doesn't make it unusable. The range benefit that it gives you is not to be scoffed at.

Witherhoard is good in ALL content. Boss damage? Respectable plus great with B&S. GM’s? Great at killing champions. Ad clear? Last a good amount of time. Onslaught? All of these and more. Witherhoards only weakness is PvP and even then it has great usage as an area denial tool. Datto is crazy to put it at C tier.
So many of the exotics are on par with legendary versions. DMT, Delicate Tomb, etc. In those cases I'd rather run a legendary and use an exotic that is powerful. Good list Datto. Can't say I disagree with anything too much.
Dead Man's Tale actually does crazy amounts of extra damage to enemies compared to legendary versions, but yore right, some of these exotics were just the prototypes of a new weapon frame

As someone who plays support no matter what Lumina will always be my favorite exotic. This allows more options for my friends to play what they want while I get to play with something that is meta but I find the most fun. That alone will always keep it as my primary for everything besides solo content (even then its a basic handcannon with a far more consistent subsistence).
Not even a warlock main but as a titan main but God damn whenever I play warlock I use lumina and boots of assembler and jeez it makes me feel useful lol
Man did chat fumble the bag arguing in favor of Parasite, there's actually a nice damage rotation that exists with it and aberrant action (or a solar fusion rifle of your choice) where you put on solar loader, shoot the aberrant 3-4 times and then shoot the now reloaded parasite again (bonus if you can use a reload dodge of some sort for parasite). It's deals competitive damage and is also incredibly ammo efficient
-I feel like people get hung up on the melee part of glaives when really they're a gun with a shield -Delicate Tomb has a horizontal spread so you can tag multiple enemies at a time with jolt more easily -Deterministic Chaos has a use as a support weapon to heal your team on Void Titan, and apply weaken (I wish they would give it the 4TTC catalyst already, and buff the mag size) -No one uses Lumina because everyone wants to be the main character instead of the support, doesn't mean it's not really good. -No Time To Explain has synergy with the Warlock buddy build -Heartshadow gives weaken and invis on any class and subclass, which can be pretty useful in a panic, and has good synergy with a Briarbinds Warlock to go invis and pick up your children -Skyburner's Oath is great with Weighted Knife Hunters or Dawn Chorus Warlocks :( -Sweet Business and Tommy's Matchbook are my two most used exotics on Titan, paired with Actium War Rig (I'm insane) -Tesselation... is it really worth going through an animation of consuming your grenade and charging up the charge shot when you could.. just throw the grenade? -Witherhorde is great because it's easy to just tag a high health target and it'll just die while you do something else

I'm not arguing for dead messenger. But if it's garbage so is hardlight. To be clear, I think they both deserve to be there. But hardlight is def worse than Dead Messenger.
I think part of his and my rationale is that if you're using Hardlight, you can down shields pretty much just as easily as with Dead Messenger but you have infinite ammo. And you can still run a special in kinetic slot without having two specials equipped resulting in less ammo being available.
That being said, these two guns along with Borealis all are trash in today's sandbox, and I feel the only way to make any of them relevant is if each elemental damage mode also applied their respective damage verb perks (Voltshot, Destabilizing, Incandescent)
@giriessaba1567 I get it. I just think if I use dead messenger, I'm at least getting something unique. It's a wave frame with 3 waves where hardlight is an auto rifle with ricochet rounds. Dead Messenger can do somewhat decent add clear in low tier content. I do understand your point, though. I will say I would usually rather use an exotic primary for the exotic damage buff. I just think dead messenger is at least more unique to have somewhat of a niche.

Black talon maybe wasn't ever the best, but it was meta for prestige eater back in the day. one of the weeks would be power weapon sword and if you had prism when it switched to void would basically be the only way you could damage argos besides whatever your primary and energy were
I really wish Dead Messenger had something where it would have some kind of elemental add clear perk based on its current selected element. Basically, something like Incandescent for Solar, Volt Shot for Arc, and Destabilizing Rounds or self proc Volatile Rounds for it's void version
For the argument of the exotic glaives, the titan one saw some use for a hot moment when it was discovered you could throw a bubble down and then pop behemoth ulty and then spam the heavies in the bubble popping them all super quick and consistently all of them. Granted the boss's knee caps have to be clipping into the bubble but it did nutty damage or at least directly enabled it in that moment

I'm going to keep saying how good Tommy's Matchbook is, especially on Warlocks. In PVE the overheat mode doubles your damage, and as long as you have some decent healing to negate the self-damage penalty, (Speaker's Sight, Sanguine Alchemy, Karnstein Armlets, Devour, etc) you can very consistently out out double damage. If you throw in Ember of Ashes, Song of Flame, and use the catalyst, you have an absolutely bonkers gun that can ignite twice per magazine while doing double damage per shot compared to other 720 RPM ARs. I use Sanguine Alchemy combined with TM since it turns your rifts into mini wells and has a certain "Avoiding a sea bear" approach to gameplay that is surprisingly effective in high level content.

Zhalo Supercell is the only remaining D1 exotic yet to be brought over that has a D2 clone and the last really requested one. We finally got Red Death back putting Crimson out of it's misery, now it's time to do the same with Riskrunner and give us Zhalo back.
"Historically Bastion has been a c tier" I disagree, i remember when it came out and was wildly slept on in PvP and I was getting 3.0 kda constantly with it. If this was only PvE id agree but it was a monster before people made videos on it and the usage rate went up
When Bastion could kill a guardian with each of the three bursts was absurd. I never got the triple down, but getting two guardians with one burst was 🤌
Wish-Ender and Witherhoard are my two go-to weapons for competitive PvP. Wish-Ender is great for seeing where the enemy is going, which tips their strategy. And of course it's great for playing long range peekaboo around corners. Witherhoard is how you deal with aggressive players that like to blitz. Wait at a choke point and when they enter shoot witherhoard on the ground and immediately melee. This will usually net you a kill and take them out of their game plan as they switch from aggressive to tentative. It's also great for any narrow passages, tunnel areas, doorways, spaces with low clearance, etc. Works even better when their whole team gets jammed up and damaged as the first guy tries to back up while the others are still moving forward.

Polaris in D tier is a tragedy. That is one of the better "dad" guns out there. Sure, it lost some potency after the artifact change in TFS but it still is really good in difficult content. Should be in the B tier at minimum. I would take it over any of the weapons you have in C tier. Ace of Spades is B-tier btw. There are a ton of legendary handcannons I'd take over that any day. Datto! Wish-Ender and Witherhoard and your placements of them.....wth!? Those are 2 of the better weapons in the game. Easily A tier.
Polaris has no real reason to be used right now(no instant ignition nor a champion scout mod means it's getting benched for sunshot) I actually agree with your assessment for ace of spades so nothing to comment on here. Witherhoard is now out classed in pretty much every category except single target dps by lost signal(a LEGENDARY gl) As for wishender it's main issue right now is that you don't need it's anti barrier properties when the artifact mods(and prismatic as a whole) makes it stupidly easy to proc radiant
Forerunner is one of those weapons that it’s nostalgia for halo players because it’s the halo one Magnum dress up your titan as a master chief run forerunner, and the BX are battler and an energy sword, and there you go, your master chief
Heir apparent is pretty mean in PvP. Machine guns can already be difficult to out gun at times, but having that shield is an extra step you have to cut through to deal with it.
I want to say something about Deathbringer: It's super fun to use, it can pull off some wild ad clear, the air drop rounds can get to enemies behind walls, from far away, and in weird places - it's useless against fast movers, but makes for a hell of a surprise for anything slow or that doesn't see you coming. Deathbringer isn't just a nine round Nova Bomb launcher, it's also a lifestyle, and I think it has a lot more utility than it's often given credit for. It's doesn't work everywhere, but I think you'd be surprised.
The disrespect on witherhoard is crazy. go look Philly Phils solo flawless dps builds and witherhoard is BEASTLY on those things. Not to mention when starfire was king, witherhoard was borderline mandatory
Aeger's on S tier while Final Warning ends up at C is literally insane. Once you learn how to use Final Warning, it is one of the easiest S tier weapons in the entire game

Deterministic Chaos is my fav exotic, it procs demolitionist healing on my void titan, pops barriers, and weakens bosses, honestly my fav all around weapon! It needs a bit of a damage increase and a mag increase to really be in line with other choices
Honorable for you to run a tier list, but you haven't rated all the exotics based off of power. A good amount are "you snooze" or "it's boring". Definitely comes off to me as this being a tier list based off of what you like, rather than what you initially implied with it being focused on power. I definitely agree with you on Ruined Bloodline though, that's an amazing exotic.
I love your content, I used to watch back in D1 and early D2 until after Dreadnought when I stopped playing. I'm a returning player, and truthfully only know like half of these exotics... In the future if you decide to do videos like this or talk about specific weapons, please give a very brief description of the gun, like "it's a hand cannon and the exotic perk is so and so." That way I can follow and learn what I might be interested in. Cuz it was difficult to go off of just names - I would need to Google a lot of them.
I just wish it had something else going on. Like I get that it becomes a beast when fully charged but I think it needs something that can make it synergize with a build.
Unfortunately, it's actually really insane when stacked in pvp which honestly is the only reason it's still there. I'd prefer a rework to make the beast mode SPAM ignitions or something similar.
Polaris Lance as D tier? I think it's C tier personally since it is pretty good but it's pretty much designed for hitting nothing but precision shots. You end up missing a precision shot and it can mess up the rhythm you get going on with it. I think the big thing is that there are better weapons to use over it that don't require constant hits of precision shots.
Polaris doesn’t fit into our playstyles nowadays The game now encourages players to engage in close ranged combat to make their rotations work and nowadays we have abilities that can melt adds with less cooldown and also weapons that is so powerful that even Polaris in its good days with seasonal perks can’t compete So yeah Polaris falling to D tier ain’t that of a surprise Y sit there aiming for hs if we can just melt adds with explosives and nades

Yes you are using euphony outside of damage, on a warlock at the very least. The amount of threadlings that thing spawns from normal ads makes it insane at ad clear, I'd say its better at dealing with normal enemies than bosses honestly but it still does great damage for a special weapon. Run that on a prismatic threadling build and you're clearing rooms of any enemy type, minor to mini bosses insanely quick. I wouldn't argue for an S since its not the best at anything that it does but an A since what it does do is insane for a special weapon. Even without the threadling build it still does its job well enough, I've been running it on my titan and hunter too with some pretty good results cause the gun builds up its stacks real quick on its own esp if you're hitting your headshots against lower enemies. Probably my favourite gun they've ever introduced.
I love ager's scepter, I've used it on a loooot of different builds and is one of my favourite exotics, but it is by far not what I would consider S tier
I'd say it feels S when running double special or something, and especially with how it clears ads like nothing. I feel like supers are too strong to justify the alternative fire unless you're on Cenotaph Warlock, so I'd say A at the lowest

@@ozfernau6763 Depends on the super. There are some disposable supers that do warrant the alternative fire mode, but most of them aren't worth the investment.
@@lcepik21 I can't speak to conditional, but aegers is versatile, works from different ranges, and is crowd control and ad clear based where conditional seems like it would be focused more on blasting a big target and whatever is directly around it

@jacobmathews-xo4ov I've always found that when someone requires help in the legend campaign, they're consistently the experience and playstyle of a vegetable, so they waste the rezzes and cause a guaranteed wipe in the process. And if they need to hide in a corner as to not waste a rez token, then they are therefore not doing damage or not killing things in line of sight, so it would effectively just be a harder solo as is. The best way to run the legend campaign has always been solo. It's literally about as hard as a solo Prophecy completion before the changes, if you do just the tiniest bit of buildcrafting.
Literally no reason to use it over a exotic primary if you are trying to be optimal, wasting your exotic slot for a mid ad clear weapon with limited ammo, uses your super and doesn't progress ammo finders like primaries doesn't makes sense
Yo Datto. You should do a video about the different metas over the years. Rank them in a similar way to their effectiveness/ease of use compared to now. As a returning player I hear people talk about old metas and I'd be interested to know more about it

I've experienced and seen multiple people shoot the volley of eyes of tommor rockets, and some would hit walls/random stuff. That would happen rarely, if at all with DB.
How about it just gets two shots or auto loading holster.

I did Presage Legend on Fireteam Finder the other night, and this Warlock rolls in with double trace, Black Talon, and blink. I asked twice if everyone was ready, they said they were, so we took off. Had to go back to orbit so he could take blink off, but he really ran double trace and Black Talon intentionally. That guy proceeded to rock the activity. I was stunned.
That's .. wild. Legend presage can be quite annoying rather rhan difficulty but double trace w/BLACK TALON???? A mad lad you love to hear stories about.

Deterministic chaos would be so much better if they just gave it the catalyst that's already in the API, for those who don't know, deterministic Chaos's catalyst in the API says that it gives it forth times the charm, this would make it amazing, maybe not the strongest DPS machine ever but it would be able to consistently apply those void debuffs and just lay on the trigger while having great ammo economy
They keep reworking it but not fixing its actual problem which is that you have to reload it more than you shoot.
They should give it amped up fttc. Like hitting 4 bullets at all would return 2, maybe with each 16 returning 4. That would be pretty cool i think

On Tommy's Matchbook: It's kinda dogwater 90% of the time, BUT, much like running necro w/ Thorn, running a healer build on warlock w/ Speaker's just absolutely unlocks this thing.
Speaker's was the missing piece to make this thing COOK. I have the thing causing ignitions CONSTANTLY on higher health targets, and I'm just sitting there, practically unable to die. Aztecross featured it in a build battle if you wanted to check it out! Suuuper fun build, highly recommend if you wanna give it a try.
Theoretically (need to try this myself), you might be able to run prismatic, healing grenade, as many scorch aspects as you can, Hellion, Devour, and do the same thing but w/ the addition of Prismatic? Idk but the base pure solar is soo good.
It’s been fantastic on Titan with precious scars/lorelys especially with artifact perks. The current auto rifle mods make it fucking crazy especially the loading one. Honestly my favorite exotic weapon as a sun breaker main since TK

Not that really matters, but for anyone who cares, a good trick you can do when making a tierlist in front of an audience, start by setting 2 benchmarks, something you think is in the highest tier and something that's in the lowest, it gives the audience a better frame of reference from the start allowing for a clear understanding from the jump

Skyburner's oath is not that bad, the hipfire applies scorch really well for a primary. Sure it's no sunshot, but that doesn't make it unusable. The range benefit that it gives you is not to be scoffed at.

Witherhoard is currently fire, used it in onsalaut and it was really good. It was also good in pvp against bubble and well meta

Witherhoard is good in ALL content. Boss damage? Respectable plus great with B&S. GM’s? Great at killing champions. Ad clear? Last a good amount of time. Onslaught? All of these and more. Witherhoards only weakness is PvP and even then it has great usage as an area denial tool. Datto is crazy to put it at C tier.
Witherhoard deserves B or higher but, as a wither main (75k+) I have to admit it's been pushed out of the meta a bit.

The only time I ever liked using witherhoard was when starfire was popping but even then it was an end to a mean I didn't actually like the weapon
So many of the exotics are on par with legendary versions. DMT, Delicate Tomb, etc. In those cases I'd rather run a legendary and use an exotic that is powerful. Good list Datto. Can't say I disagree with anything too much.
Delicate tomb is insane on arc warlock with fallen sunstar, it’s just non stop ability spam and jolting everything with the fusion
Dead Man's Tale actually does crazy amounts of extra damage to enemies compared to legendary versions, but yore right, some of these exotics were just the prototypes of a new weapon frame

As someone who plays support no matter what Lumina will always be my favorite exotic. This allows more options for my friends to play what they want while I get to play with something that is meta but I find the most fun. That alone will always keep it as my primary for everything besides solo content (even then its a basic handcannon with a far more consistent subsistence).
Not even a warlock main but as a titan main but God damn whenever I play warlock I use lumina and boots of assembler and jeez it makes me feel useful lol
Man did chat fumble the bag arguing in favor of Parasite, there's actually a nice damage rotation that exists with it and aberrant action (or a solar fusion rifle of your choice) where you put on solar loader, shoot the aberrant 3-4 times and then shoot the now reloaded parasite again (bonus if you can use a reload dodge of some sort for parasite). It's deals competitive damage and is also incredibly ammo efficient
yea whoever said they liked it for killing champs folded HARD. Like wtf no, its burst dmg is the real selling point.
-I feel like people get hung up on the melee part of glaives when really they're a gun with a shield
-Delicate Tomb has a horizontal spread so you can tag multiple enemies at a time with jolt more easily
-Deterministic Chaos has a use as a support weapon to heal your team on Void Titan, and apply weaken (I wish they would give it the 4TTC catalyst already, and buff the mag size)
-No one uses Lumina because everyone wants to be the main character instead of the support, doesn't mean it's not really good.
-No Time To Explain has synergy with the Warlock buddy build
-Heartshadow gives weaken and invis on any class and subclass, which can be pretty useful in a panic, and has good synergy with a Briarbinds Warlock to go invis and pick up your children
-Skyburner's Oath is great with Weighted Knife Hunters or Dawn Chorus Warlocks :(
-Sweet Business and Tommy's Matchbook are my two most used exotics on Titan, paired with Actium War Rig (I'm insane)
-Tesselation... is it really worth going through an animation of consuming your grenade and charging up the charge shot when you could.. just throw the grenade?
-Witherhorde is great because it's easy to just tag a high health target and it'll just die while you do something else

I'm not arguing for dead messenger. But if it's garbage so is hardlight. To be clear, I think they both deserve to be there. But hardlight is def worse than Dead Messenger.
I think part of his and my rationale is that if you're using Hardlight, you can down shields pretty much just as easily as with Dead Messenger but you have infinite ammo. And you can still run a special in kinetic slot without having two specials equipped resulting in less ammo being available.
That being said, these two guns along with Borealis all are trash in today's sandbox, and I feel the only way to make any of them relevant is if each elemental damage mode also applied their respective damage verb perks (Voltshot, Destabilizing, Incandescent)
@giriessaba1567 I get it. I just think if I use dead messenger, I'm at least getting something unique. It's a wave frame with 3 waves where hardlight is an auto rifle with ricochet rounds. Dead Messenger can do somewhat decent add clear in low tier content. I do understand your point, though. I will say I would usually rather use an exotic primary for the exotic damage buff. I just think dead messenger is at least more unique to have somewhat of a niche.

Black talon maybe wasn't ever the best, but it was meta for prestige eater back in the day. one of the weeks would be power weapon sword and if you had prism when it switched to void would basically be the only way you could damage argos besides whatever your primary and energy were

I really wish Dead Messenger had something where it would have some kind of elemental add clear perk based on its current selected element. Basically, something like Incandescent for Solar, Volt Shot for Arc, and Destabilizing Rounds or self proc Volatile Rounds for it's void version
For the argument of the exotic glaives, the titan one saw some use for a hot moment when it was discovered you could throw a bubble down and then pop behemoth ulty and then spam the heavies in the bubble popping them all super quick and consistently all of them. Granted the boss's knee caps have to be clipping into the bubble but it did nutty damage or at least directly enabled it in that moment

I'm going to keep saying how good Tommy's Matchbook is, especially on Warlocks. In PVE the overheat mode doubles your damage, and as long as you have some decent healing to negate the self-damage penalty, (Speaker's Sight, Sanguine Alchemy, Karnstein Armlets, Devour, etc) you can very consistently out out double damage. If you throw in Ember of Ashes, Song of Flame, and use the catalyst, you have an absolutely bonkers gun that can ignite twice per magazine while doing double damage per shot compared to other 720 RPM ARs.
I use Sanguine Alchemy combined with TM since it turns your rifts into mini wells and has a certain "Avoiding a sea bear" approach to gameplay that is surprisingly effective in high level content.

Zhalo Supercell is the only remaining D1 exotic yet to be brought over that has a D2 clone and the last really requested one. We finally got Red Death back putting Crimson out of it's misery, now it's time to do the same with Riskrunner and give us Zhalo back.

The navigator is S tier for the "if you know" people (Synthos grapple melee)
feels that way for most of the list. Stuff like parasite, malf, lumina, final warning, eriana's and much more go higher. But only "if you know"
Wish-Ender and Witherhoard are my two go-to weapons for competitive PvP.
Wish-Ender is great for seeing where the enemy is going, which tips their strategy. And of course it's great for playing long range peekaboo around corners.
Witherhoard is how you deal with aggressive players that like to blitz. Wait at a choke point and when they enter shoot witherhoard on the ground and immediately melee. This will usually net you a kill and take them out of their game plan as they switch from aggressive to tentative. It's also great for any narrow passages, tunnel areas, doorways, spaces with low clearance, etc. Works even better when their whole team gets jammed up and damaged as the first guy tries to back up while the others are still moving forward.

Polaris in D tier is a tragedy. That is one of the better "dad" guns out there. Sure, it lost some potency after the artifact change in TFS but it still is really good in difficult content. Should be in the B tier at minimum. I would take it over any of the weapons you have in C tier.
Ace of Spades is B-tier btw. There are a ton of legendary handcannons I'd take over that any day.

Heir apparent is pretty mean in PvP. Machine guns can already be difficult to out gun at times, but having that shield is an extra step you have to cut through to deal with it.

I want to say something about Deathbringer: It's super fun to use, it can pull off some wild ad clear, the air drop rounds can get to enemies behind walls, from far away, and in weird places - it's useless against fast movers, but makes for a hell of a surprise for anything slow or that doesn't see you coming. Deathbringer isn't just a nine round Nova Bomb launcher, it's also a lifestyle, and I think it has a lot more utility than it's often given credit for. It's doesn't work everywhere, but I think you'd be surprised.

Deterministic Chaos is my fav exotic, it procs demolitionist healing on my void titan, pops barriers, and weakens bosses, honestly my fav all around weapon! It needs a bit of a damage increase and a mag increase to really be in line with other choices
Honorable for you to run a tier list, but you haven't rated all the exotics based off of power. A good amount are "you snooze" or "it's boring". Definitely comes off to me as this being a tier list based off of what you like, rather than what you initially implied with it being focused on power.

I love your content, I used to watch back in D1 and early D2 until after Dreadnought when I stopped playing. I'm a returning player, and truthfully only know like half of these exotics... In the future if you decide to do videos like this or talk about specific weapons, please give a very brief description of the gun, like "it's a hand cannon and the exotic perk is so and so." I just wish it had something else going on. Like I get that it becomes a beast when fully charged but I think it needs something that can make it synergize with a build.
Unfortunately, it's actually really insane when stacked in pvp which honestly is the only reason it's still there. I'd prefer a rework to make the beast mode SPAM ignitions or something similar.
Delicate tomb was amazing, when i done my blind, ionic trace warlock build there was so many abilities flying lol
Polaris Lance as D tier? I think it's C tier personally since it is pretty good but it's pretty much designed for hitting nothing but precision shots. You end up missing a precision shot and it can mess up the rhythm you get going on with it. I think the big thing is that there are better weapons to use over it that don't require constant hits of precision shots.
Polaris doesn’t fit into our playstyles nowadays The game now encourages players to engage in close ranged combat to make their rotations work and nowadays we have abilities that can melt adds with less cooldown and also weapons that is so powerful that even Polaris in its good days with seasonal perks can’t compete So yeah Polaris falling to D tier ain’t that of a surprise Y sit there aiming for hs if we can just melt adds with explosives and nades
It's way to slow and with no more artifact mods it just isn't worth it.

Yes you are using euphony outside of damage, on a warlock at the very least. The amount of threadlings that thing spawns from normal ads makes it insane at ad clear, I'd say its better at dealing with normal enemies than bosses honestly but it still does great damage for a special weapon. Run that on a prismatic threadling build and you're clearing rooms of any enemy type, minor to mini bosses insanely quick. I wouldn't argue for an S since its not the best at anything that it does but an A since what it does do is insane for a special weapon. Even without the threadling build it still does its job well enough, I've been running it on my titan and hunter too with some pretty good results cause the gun builds up its stacks real quick on its own esp if you're hitting your headshots against lower enemies. Probably my favourite gun they've ever introduced.
Outbreak with transcendence makes it S. The transcendence build up is crazy plus the damage is nutty for a primary.
I miss the exotic tear lists. Maybe we could get 1 once a year 🤔

I love ager's scepter, I've used it on a loooot of different builds and is one of my favourite exotics, but it is by far not what I would consider S tier
I'd say it feels S when running double special or something, and especially with how it clears ads like nothing. I feel like supers are too strong to justify the alternative fire unless you're on Cenotaph Warlock, so I'd say A at the lowest
@@ozfernau6763 on endgame content it kind of drops off in terms of damage, and you end up using a limited ammo exotic gun when running something like sunshot would be better to feed your special ammo weapon
Also rocket sidearms exist and those are stupidly good for double special!
having to use stasis lock which is like the least useful warlock subclass brings it down, conditional is at least a tier higher
@@ozfernau6763 Depends on the super. There are some disposable supers that do warrant the alternative fire mode, but most of them aren't worth the investment.
@@lcepik21 I can't speak to conditional, but aegers is versatile, works from different ranges, and is crowd control and ad clear based where conditional seems like it would be focused more on blasting a big target and whatever is directly around it
Just dedicated a lot of time to Delicate Tomb and switching to indebted immediately after was a breath of fresh air

People that don’t understand how multiplicity works in legend campaign are the ones asking for help not understanding my joining you makes it harder for you to balance my being there.
The difficulty scaling doesn’t overcome the power scaling of an entire extra guardian in the legendary campaign 3 man is always the easiest completion

@jacobmathews-xo4ov I've always found that when someone requires help in the legend campaign, they're consistently the experience and playstyle of a vegetable, so they waste the rezzes and cause a guaranteed wipe in the process. And if they need to hide in a corner as to not waste a rez token, then they are therefore not doing damage or not killing things in line of sight, so it would effectively just be a harder solo as is.
The best way to run the legend campaign has always been solo. It's literally about as hard as a solo Prophecy completion before the changes, if you do just the tiniest bit of buildcrafting.
I explain whenever I join, we each get one Rez, so if you go down twice we are done. Play your life and let me do my job and we'll get through this

Literally no reason to use it over a exotic primary if you are trying to be optimal, wasting your exotic slot for a mid ad clear weapon with limited ammo, uses your super and doesn't progress ammo finders like primaries doesn't makes sense
Yo Datto. You should do a video about the different metas over the years. Rank them in a similar way to their effectiveness/ease of use compared to now. As a returning player I hear people talk about old metas and I'd be interested to know more about it
Ace in A the entire time is insanity. It's just a 140 with firefly and a damage perk. Midnight Coup with one for all is better.
It's not because Ace gets the damage bonus against red bars. Also if you saw the video you'd know that he has in there also because of how it's been consistently good in pvp since it released
@@petervalvo1186 I saw the video. The argument of "a legendary does this just as good, why would you waste your exotic with this?" was brought ALL THE TIME. Also "we don't care about pvp" was also repeated to exaustion, hence Dead Messenger on the garbage tier
