Great ideas! I went for the side-mounted spool holder as I'm short and my printer is sitting on a stand. Easy to access. I might lengthen the Bowden tube that goes into the runout sensor so that the filament doesn't have to go around the corner of the printer. Haven't needed a scraper yet as I find the flexible build plate is great for getting prints off (or if I can wait long enough the plate will cool down and the prints just slide off). For my tools I wanted them more accessible so printed out a mini multiboard and screwed that to the side of my printer stand. I definitely want to print out the cable chain, but first want to decide what colour I want my enclosure to be when I one day print it. And the stylus might be handy as I find the screen touch sensitivity to be a bit slow in registering my finger presses. Hope you're enjoying the 5M as much as I am. Always looking for neater things to print!
I'm very happy with it when it's working, however these new firmware updates seem to be a little buggy. I printed my cable chain in purple as I plan on printing a purple enclosure for mine, gotta match the colours!
I just printed the top spool holder for my 5M and it mounts fine, but the filament detector won’t mount because the plug for the wire is in the way. I can’t tell from the video how yours is mounted- maybe I’m doing something wrong?
Hi LT3D. I have a question regarding the tool holder. I printed everything however I'm not sure what hardware I am supposed to use for the hinges and the latches. Can you enlighten me? Much appriciated.
I am loading the top spool holder with both Orca and Flashprint and it keeps saying The printing file is out of print range, the printer can't print it. I opened the .3mf file with orca flashforge to slice it and then exported the gcode and opened it with flashprint 5. I am hoping you can tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you!
Honestly, I'm not sure as I have not had any issues loading the file. Try just loading just the .stl of it below. drive.google.com/file/d/1CQoWq1eXuvVMu6siA5KLBLsjZm2--Uou/view?usp=sharing
Correct, I was testing a webcam to see if it worked. Result is, it does but I definitely need to design something better as it’s currently held on with cable ties 😂
@@LT3D_YT gotcha, thanks for the reply! I'm still new to the end printing world, and haven't quite pulled the trigger on getting this machine, but I'm really close, so I've been watching a ton of videos on it, lol
It could be due to the first layer not stocking correctly meaning the z-offset could be too high. I would firstly try some of their liquid glue that came with the printer.
Thank you , I just got my first 3d printer flashforge adventure 5 , I can print from flash print it finds my printer with no issue, my printer is configured with a static IP address via hard wire RJ45 connection. I can login to my account on orca flash It connected a couple if times but now it just displays server connection issue.. I am able to It profesional , firewall is fine it’s on a private network , it’s trusted device .I can ping the printer . It just won’t connect
Honestly PLA or PETG are completely fine. I usually stick to 3 brands, Bambu Lab, Polymaker & Flashforge as I have had no issues printing these filaments on multiple different printers.
@@LT3D_YT Unfortunately I think I threw those out. I am going to reuse the screws for the filament sensor, just need to figure out type/size of screw to attach it to the back frame.
For the hex scraper, I kept getting stuck in the very beginning. For some reasons progress would jump really quickly to 45% and stops there, anyone experiencing the same thing?
Yes. The top spool print ITSELF is fine. However the power cable to the sensor is not long enough to reach and screw and I also don't have the cutout on the sensor that was in their installation video on FB. I took the panel off to see if I can get a bit more length but I've got all the length there is. I'm currently printing the whole enclosure this weekend. Just gonna deal with the rear mount till this is done
Just got one for Christmas. I'm having the worst time with the software and getting it to connect. So far, I hate it. Anyone else having issues with Orca and using it over their wifi?
@Jared_7071 orca slicer can work great, it's better then the orca forge one. Only thing Is right now I cant monitor the printer through the slicer but can send prints. Honestly the app doesn't even let me see my printer most of the time.
Got my Flashforge 5m last night. Ran out of time to finish sitting it up but cant wait to get home and finish the setup and print my first print.
Love to hear it!
Got my son one for his birthday on New years. I love it. So easy to use.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!

I followed this tutorial video which was previosuly available from Flashforge th-cam.com/video/8ioKeBF3zIw/w-d-xo.html
Out of everything we are printing only one has been completed. Everything else keeps going bad after about 3 to 20 percent.
Does it come unstuck from the bed or is it something else?
@@LT3D_YT No, and we do not sit and watch it so it hard to describe it.
Hi LT3D. I have a question regarding the tool holder. I printed everything however I'm not sure what hardware I am supposed to use for the hinges and the latches. Can you enlighten me? Much appriciated.
The hinges and latches require 6x M3x30mm screws.

I got this for Christmas new and...I didn't get the other nozzles. I checked the box before tossing it and there was nothing in there.
The Adventurer 5M (non pro version) only comes with the 1 installed 0.4mm nozzle
@@LT3D_YT Ah fair enough then. Thanks!
During the build of the nozzle box, what is that purple in the front? Is that a camera holder?

Flashforge’s servers aren’t the best and at the moment they seem to go down at least once as week, which may explain the server connection issue.

If you printed up all these things on the list that you just shared with us would you say that you have a printer that probably has no problems?
I personally has some z-offset issues early on but my printers working fine now
Which nozzle did you use for these?
The default 0.4mm Nozzle
What's the app you use to get different/cooler things to print??
I find all my files through makerworld.com, printables.com and thingiverse.com

any chance you know what type of screw you used to install the spool holder?

I get an error when trying to load the top spool holder 3mf into Flash Print.
As far as I’m aware the .3mf format is not compatible with FlashPrint. You will need to use either OrcaSlicer or Orca-Flashforge to open the file.
Do you have stylus stl file. Couse yours for PLA and I want it with Pedg
I just tried the spool holder and it was ultra failed print
