Those headlight-frame base brackets seem to always rust right through, and they are very flexible as stock ... that repair bracket looks much much stronger 😎👍
You've done it again. The start portion is repeated later. "my battery went flat". I personally had to watch most of it at quarter speed to actually see what you were doing. Too much time lapse stuff for me. Good progress and good work.
Oh yes! I've seen other cars of this age with big rubber rear overriders, but mine didn't haven't any when I got it and they seem to be permanently oos!
@@philwesty21 Those overriders were part of Citroën's "Accessoirie" range. There are two types; the big ones are the ones that are correct for this era of car. There are some which are far smaller which were available in the 80s range. Both stamped "Sacred" - good luck finding a pair. Although you'll probably have more luck than finding a good, useable brown s/wheel within budget! If you do fancy the overriders - and I do think they look fairly splendid, then trawling Leboncoin or eBay.fr for "2CV Pare chocs" might yield some results if you're patient enough 😂
I do believe that Citroen used a battery which was molded during manufacturing to provide a fixing for the alternator regulator. Have you seen this similar age and spec 2CV for sale?....... www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1272603 Strong asking price.

Yes they were much more substantial. They got plenty of paint too

No. I found one, but it was totally out of my price range! I have a black one to go on.
