Always! I took the carb apart and ran it through my little ultrasonic tank and it was even better for that

I thought that the "spot my mistake" was going to be that it would have been better to fit the heat exchangers before tightening up the silencer. Did notice that earlier when you were retrieving the dropped nut that the washer was there as well. Starting at first turn of the key is always very satisfying. Sounds good too. 👍

Ha ha, I think I'm quite capable of creating new errors as I go along. Always the problems when doing something for the first time!

I'm only 6:52 in - but Copaslip grease instead of exhaust paste (honestly) and Burton's clamps will make fitting an exhaust *almost* pleasurable experience!

Copper on the threads, silicon on the clamps. Don't like the white paste stuff. It cracks in time

Copaslip on the mating surfaces of the pipes. Nothing else required. Don't ask me how, but it works!

Yep, copper grease is the way to go. I'll also vouch for the Burton exhaust clamps. I was always getting issues with the exhaust springing leaks/difficulty with getting a good seal with other clamps as they always seem to be too narrow to fit across the fairly thick ends of the exhaust sections. Fitted Burton ones and been perfect ever since. Roy at ECAS sells them.
