I’d have added the door strap reinforcement - it’s a very common point of failure and can cause quite a bit of damage to the door. You can add a quick-release steering hub which is good for security and brings the Prototipo wheel closer to you. Airbag delete usually required as well of course, along with the part to make the horn work… there’s more to it than just changing the steering wheel. I also think upgraded pedals can be a nice touch and they are usually quite worn after 30+ years of use.

@@9WERKSTV but it is illegal and will fail the MOT (if the inspector follows the rules) if a car that originally had air bags has been swooped out and deleted to fit a non air bag steering wheel. If it passes the MOT it wont pass the insurance if a claim is ever needed.

The brake ducts were never a give away for a 964 RS. They were originally only fitted to the RS 3.8

Yup, it's a clear glass with vertical ripling, no foglight inside IIRC. Also, there RS 3.8 brake ducts don't have the original shape, there shouldn't be a border around the intake hole. www.turbo.fr/sites/default/files/styles/full_width_slideshow/public/slideshow/slides/2021-03/6045f0967530a.jpg?itok=eH6fW8Im

Had a Dansk Sport Exhaust fitted to my old 996.2. Just the right balance of sound without being too shouty. Well worth the upgrade..👍👍

964C2 was brilliant, owner for 13years. Loved it! However, they were heavy (C4 even heavier) and rode high. So your vlog is really helpful to others to improve the handling, and also power to weight ratio. Amazing knowledge and well put together Lee.
If I may suggest, the last upgrade would be change out the seats, those too were very heavy Store orginals for resale later.

Great advice on the seats, and for storing the originals! Thanks for the kind words also, they are highly appreciated.

Good video. I’m looking to replace my stabilizator bushings. The rest has been swapped out for new OEM along with a PSS10 suspension.
On the brake ducts; just swapping them won’t improve brake cooling. You also need to add ducting for the airflow to the brakes and that’s a big job, but well worth doing. No brake fade no more. Braided steel lines will follow, but bite and feel is superb as is.

Walrod bushes on the front A arms. Also steering rack bushes. There's some nice shifter mods out there too. I have the FD Motorsports one on mine. Personally I quite like the original steering wheel! Wong chip or a trip to Chipwizards also worthwhile.

I will add the following for the turbo models (both 3.3 and 3.6 since they are effectively identical): replacing the standard exhaust system (ALL of it - its too long and too many changes in gas direction), as well as removal of the cat if legal in your area. It makes a huge difference to the turbo behaviour.
I quite like the old style non-airbag wheel, so personally id keep it.
Suspension upgrade and/or replacement of all rubber bushes is also worth doing on these cars. Not many 30 year old control arm bushes are going to be still good...

There are two great exhaust mods you overlooked: cup pipe ( which replaces the rear center silencer) and G-pipe (which replaces the side silancer). Both of those mods will make the car sound much better with the added benefit of hp increase. Both are disrt cheap as well.

After market Momo wheels (or any of that type) will fail on the MOT IF the original car had an airbag steering wheel. Some MOT inspectors will turn a blind eye but by the letter of the law it is illegal and insurance companies will not see it favourably.
