Thank you for this video, it is going to help me a lot replace the starter for my neighbor. I tried to do it yesterday and we got stuck removing the top bolt which is the hardest one to remove. But now I will remove the tire and add a long extension as you did.
Yeah the whole thing sucked, from being stranded in the snow after working 12hrs, to taking the tire off to change the starter. However, I know it will help others out, and that is what I do! Thanks for watching buddy, take care.
Mine went out immediately after a torrential downpour. The flooding happened quick and finished my already weak starter. Took 9 hours for me to get the bolts lose. I broke 2 different Craftsman 13mm
Watch video closely. Also, a good tip is to take a picture before you remove a part, that way you can match stuff back up when it is time to re-install.

You can do it!!! Glad this helped you!
I never put the bad bolt back in the starter. 2 will hold the starter on 30 foot pounds will hold it.
I would put all the bolts back in it.
That’s why you now need a new one
The Real K Reese!! That was a bear of a job! You tore up your gloves and everything, damn! Awesome video!! Thanks, and try to stay warm!
