    Excellent video! It was extremely helpful and I got the job done quickly thanks to you. No nonsensical chatter too, which made it even better. Keep 'em coming and thanks!

    Great instructions. Might be the easiest starter replacement I've ever done. In and out in less than an hour.

      Oh man I think the easiest starter replacements I’ve done were on early 2000s 4x4 Ford Excursions with the 6.8 V10s. I could slide up under them so quickly that it was funny. I could switch those starters in 10 mins. Absolute cake on those. My 2012 F150 is a pain to get under without ramping or lifting it.

    The starter left me stranded at a costumers house. I didn’t even know where it was located on the truck. Saw your video, walked to the parts store and back in business.

    I appreciate this video I plan on replacing mine my self because I went to an auto shop to just get 3 things replaced my belt my tension pulley and gas cap. My truck started up just fine before I took it there and now I magically have a problem starting it I think I smell tampered with and hint of BS

    have a 2015 King Ranch--had her towed home today-no crank no start. Never gave a single indication the starter was going bad. Just stopped working and the electronics went wonkie trying to start it. I hope its the starter, Part is on order. 127K on the truck though

    Really like your videos. Definitely interested in more first gen Titan videos if you have any rolling through. I actually just passed on buying a '13 King Ranch with the 3.5 in favor of a '15 Titan because there Ford looked like it hadn't been well loved in its earlier ownership. Thanks for taking the time on your videos! Very helpful.

      @@AaronHinesAuto Nice! I'm quite happy with it so far. Last year of the 1st-gen so hopefully most of the kinks ironed out ya know? Compared to the Ford it's a little smaller but it just fits in the garage lol. I'm in love with the rear slider window it's like twice the size as on the Ford and just rips air through the cabin when the sunroof is open. She is thirsty though!

      Can I ask, how did your starter go out? Did it just stop working one day? My truck was running fine and starting fine, then I noticed it would take a half a second or so for the starter to kick in, and now its nothing. No click, no crank, I've checked fuses, tested battery, etc. Would love to hear back, thank you

    • @duarte9058
      @duarte9058 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BushWookie603 replace your battery get it tested make sure it doesn’t fail. My battery always seem like it was fine until it was put under the machine and I realized that it had cells that were failing. Otherwise you couldn’t tell last starter I replaced. I replaced the battery as well. I’ve had no more issues whatsoever. Nice smooth start now.

    How do you know if it's only the solenoid or if it's both a starter or the solenoid? I'm dealing with a 2011 that when I turned it over and release the key so it will auto start I just get a single click and then nothing happens. Is the solenoid built into it?

    Won’t turn over but battery is good and all fuses and relays checked.

    Why only the negative on the battery and not the positive also?

    • @nameless-og

      So you dont have to remove both.
      Positive should always be attached before negative comes on/off, to prevent any arcing

      Mines been doing this for a few months. Drove it around yesterday. Got home. Wouldn't start this morning. Just a click. Charged battery 100% still just a click. Jumped the starter at the terminals and it had enough power to jump it there, then the truck was able to start it. Solenoid likely dying. Ordered a replacement today. It's easy to change.
