For what a Reclaimer costs, the interior shouldn't look like something Scooter threw together on Daymar. Because of its size I have yet to be able to call it to a space station and as mentioned, it is quite painful to try to fly this ship into orbit from planet surface (facilities, on Orison).

I really like my Reclaimer, but I look forward to a slight revamp to the interior, in particular, the cargo bay; there's loads of room that's not well utilised that could be filled properly with salvage, rather than precariously balancing boxes on top of one another, hoping they don't get flung outside of the ship.

Thank you for the review, Farrister (now with Salvaging IN the PU)! I enjoy this gameplay but have only done so in a Vulture. I'll have to give the Reclaimer a try.

I recently got to experience what it was like having a full crew on this ship. It honestly works so well and generates an absurd amount of money for all involved, getting each of us about 1.2mill aUEC in roughly an hour. There are absolutely things that are out-of-date about it, but even as it is currently it excels in its intended role as you'd hope. There are a lot of annoying details regarding the Reclaimer: The front elevator has no way of going down when standing inside, there are no storage compartments for storing refreshments for the crew, the multiple small and awkwardly seized cargo grids are difficult to fill correctly, containers keep zooming into space regularly, and ultimately containers just despawn without warning (after exceeding some limit like 100). So handling this ship can be often frustrating. And finally, Crusader hangars keep misbehaving and rendering the ship disfunctional. I had to reclaim the Reclaimer several times, losing hundreds of valuable cargo containers. So, once CIG decides to nerf the prices and missions, reducing the moneymaking substantially, those issues need to be fixed to keep people enjoying the actual salvage gameplay.

I honestly would be satisfied with a medium salvage ship that im able to solo. Vulture alright! Paired with my nomad within vicinity to transport goods i make a decent buck. but Vulture scrap holding is way too small when it comes to vanguard up to msr. And the reclaimer prices is a major turn off!! 6 mill to me is like my end game goal to get my Hercules m2 or A2. for those ships have everything i need just missing a medbay and ship tractor beam
I never got why this ship was Aegis. I get that out of universe CR likes the Aegis brand, but I feel like in-universe it should've been one of the industrial brands. Even the design is just a less angular Argo.
A quick google search and found this. Since its production was for military contracts, and Aegis held the military contract for so long. I suppose it makes sense. But lore is nothing more than letters displayed in combinations. It could change. There isn't very much lore about it, but there is this: "Today, the Aegis Reclaimer is the company’s best-selling remaining military contract ship. Reclaimers are heavy-duty space salvage ships designed for a strong support role. The design isn’t pretty to look at, but it features a variety of rugged specialized tools, all designed for operation in a combat theater: long-range jump drives, launch pods for drones, tractor beams, floodlights and more. Civilian surveyors are also a common site on the frontier, where they are adapted as dedicated salvage ships and explorers. A crew traveling deep space in a Reclaimer should be capable of taking home some of whatever mysteries they happen across!" Now how about that Vulture being Drake instead of Argo? I don't care if the forward arms look like a Dragonfly. I just have AAARRRGOOO screaming at me.

Just because a ship is industrial it doesn‘t come out the factory looking filthy.
Haha
There isn't very much lore about it, but there is this:
"Today, the Aegis Reclaimer is the company’s best-selling remaining military contract ship. A crew traveling deep space in a Reclaimer should be capable of taking home some of whatever mysteries they happen across!"
Now how about that Vulture being Drake instead of Argo?
I don't care if the forward arms look like a Dragonfly. I just have AAARRRGOOO screaming at me.
ngl my ass is slowly grinding to get this cash wise, purely cause it looks amazing xD
Once you get one, it's a big money maker too...
@@Farrister exactly even solo it doesnt seem too bad, although i do hope to have some friends join the verse so .
I have the company pack baby…I’m gonna be rich in the verse
Hello Farrister, so a review of the Arachnid Microwave Salvage Beastie!! Tis a good ship, but while ye can solo like a Capuchin, hopping from station to cargo hold etc, the BEST use id when fully crewed. Team Play, Group Play, work well with this ship. But as is per with ANY Multicrew Ship, it's Orgs that will benefit most.
How much is it to rent a reclaimer?
its great when i dont know what buttons to press
This ship excels at what it's designed for, ship-wreckage cleanup and beam pressure wash therapy sessions
I found it stressful to use alone.
This ship pays for itself in game.
For now. The tears are coming.
@@festersmith8352I hope no, cuz it cost too much ingame
@@Omega16128 In the future its planned to take days, weeks, months to earn enough for a ship.
Plan for it. When is the question. Likely beta.
@@festersmith8352 but it converts into stupid grind game and that’s all
So I hope not, like if I pledge a big ship I will get big revenue
@@Omega16128 A life in space would be a big grind. The space life was the intended idea. And why so many pledged over the years to have it.
It needs rework so badly.
They are aware, and have commented on it.
I hate this ship, there are ghosts in it.
Ok at least you have a legit reason.
It's because it reclaims Souls too
So..... it's a rubbish truck?
First 🎉

if only the game actually worked.. They can't get a tech demo to work after 11 years.. I can't see them having anything working in the next decade..
Lots of players are using just fine on a daily basis.
And its constantly being dev'd to work better for us.
