reason for that is because Arsenal's glory eras/periods correlate with half of teams in the current top 6 (Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea) and Spurs is a local rivalry. Their successful years don't really overlap that much whereas Arsenal's glory days overlaps with alot of clubs hence why they have alot of rivalries (though almost all of the rivalries apart from United, Spurs and Chelsea have gone stale).

Arsenal vs United is indeed the biggest in the premier league. Historically of course it's Liverpool vs United. The vitriol in the Arsenal vs United games is unmatched.
Arsenal vs United Arsenal vs Spurs are the most heated games in PL. I remember fans, players and managers absolutely HATING each other during the Wenger-Ferguson era. Don't remember the last time United and Liverpool were on the same level and went toe-to-toe for any competition. Maybe 30 years ago, it was the biggest rivalry in English Football.

These days it’s the only game i fear in the fixture list and since i’m not from Liverpool I certainly hate city more than the blue shite
To be clear, the period of 2000s was considered the most intense one for the English football rivalries. The Top 4 of Premier League finishes have always be Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal. Sepp Blatter had even commented that the Premier League is the most boring football league of the world after 2007-08 Champions League season saw 4 English clubs playing in the quarterfinal, with Manchester United and Chelsea facing each other in the first all-English Champions League Final at Moscow. The Liverpool-Chelsea match has been repeated five times between 2005 and 2009, with the first one being infamous because of Luis Garcia's ghost goal drama. There was also 8 goal thriller in Stamford Bridge (4-4) during the 2009 encounter, which saw Liverpool almost qualified to the semifinal had they scored another goal in the dying minutes. Also, Manchester United and Liverpool are so close to produce this biggest game in Europe when they reached the semifinal in 2007 and 2008 (they are in different knockout routes). In 2007, Manchester United lost to Milan, who eventually won the competition. In 2008, Manchester United won the competition after beating Chelsea, who eliminated Liverpool in the semifinal. Last, but not least, you can't forget about Manchester United-Arsenal clash. Ferguson vs Wenger had produced big dramas like the pizza thing in 2004.
Manchester United vs Liverpool historically the biggest alongside Arsenal v Manchester United in my opinion the best right now Arsenal vs Tottenham, Liverpool vs man city is too friendly to be considered a heated rivalry.
I think that comes down to the fact managers don't stay long. It almost seems like arteta wants to avoid fights. If Xhaka was playing in the 00s sides he would have got a red at every NLD for fighting

El Clasico is different to United vs Liverpool because they are constantly competing for titles and there is a history of politics and culture clash. 8 seasons is not a few mate. Also there’s never been a season we’re Man U and Liverpool were competing for the big throphies ever really. from 98-2005 Arsenal won the league 3 times, were invincible, won the double, won the league at old Trafford, won a fa cup against man united United won the league 5 times, won the treble, threepeated the league, Iconic moments like giggs winner in the fa cup against Arsenal, van Nistelrooy penalty miss to keep Arsenal unbeaten, Keane vs viera, Wenger VS SAF United had the best team in the league while Arsenal had the best player in the league. This timespan of almost 10 years there’s never been as close a competitive rivalry the premier league has seen while the fans also hated eachother(maybe not hatred as much as Man U/liverpool and Arsenal/tottenham but still overall the Man U/ Arsenal rivalry ticks the most boxes
Its clear the biggest rivalry is the battle of the Roses, Leeds United vs Manchester United. Every time they play each other home or away it has never disappointed. Shame Leeds are not as good as they were before but when they do grow it ll definitely become the biggest again.
The only people who ever mention this are United fans lmao the Chelsea Liverpool rivalry isn't even a thing but what little of it there is is from the Rafa/Mourinho era, not from comments a chairman made 40 years ago.
Well the guy on the left is correct about the aguero goal it was a case of it stopped m utd winning the league even if you ain't a city fan that's certainly how I felt at the time really 🤣
Here's an easy way to settle this debate between the Liverpool - United rivalry or the Arsenal - United rivalry, and it's a point always brought up when discussing the significance of the Manchester Derby. If only Liverpool and Arsenal were able to win the title, every single United fan would prefer Arsenal won the league over Liverpool. That tells you everything you need to know about which one is the bigger rivalry.
But what if Arsenal kept winning and winning leagues and the tally was catching up??? United fans would rather Liveprool pass them than Arsenal and you can't convinve me otherwise.
@@hsiang7 I don't believe that. Look at how rattked United fans are just from us winning 9 games out of 10. We're always living rent free in their head.
@@jordandavis3867 you're overestimating how much people care. Nobody cares because we all know City will in the league anyways. They were having panic attacks about Liverpool possibly winning the quadruple last season though. Arsenal would possibly come into that conversation if they WERE competing for the title of Most Successful Club in England, but they're a long way off that so at the moment they're not in that conversation for either of us. That rivalry trumps competing for league titles for a few years 20 years ago.

@@hsiang7 could just be a dominance thing. I'd rather Liverpool beat City so the league is better but I care about arsenal playing Liverpool, United, Chelsea or spurs more. Ones pragmatism, the others are passion
How much of the fanbase for the Premier League are outside of the UK - for us it isn't the same - somebody needs to do some calculations and figure how many of us are there vs those in the UK. If it's as many people as I am thinking it is - it's totally different. For me as a Chelsea fan I hate Spurs/Arsenal equally the most and then there is everyone else but third is tied for United/Liverpool.
I’d say less than 1% of premier league fans are based in the UK. It’s 99% global. China alone has 300million premier league fans, that’s 5 times the total population of the UK, and not everyone in the UK are premier league fans.

United Vs arsenal
That's all
Man Utd Man City
Needed a Spurs representative here... might be biased but the NLD and Chelsea vs Spurs derbies are thr most passionate ones in recent times...both sets of fans would give there life for a victory on that day
Wherever you go in the world, United-Liverpool is the biggest english rivalry
Specially a Premier league rivalry?!..... Not in London mate.
United vs Arsenal rivalry was back in late 90 and early 2000 those days
Chelsea - Liverpool is an underrated rivalry. There's alot of needle between Liverpool and Chelsea fans. Lots of player comparisons, manager comparisons, iconic moments.
Yep. Even though United have been stronger competitors over the last 20 years, Chelsea hate Liverpool a lot more. It was those Jose / Rafa years, and the cup ties. They were. Wet very tense chess matches with some very notable moments.
The best game in the PL for the last 5 years imo has been Liverpool Vs Man City. Even Sundays game finished 1-0 was probably the best game of the season in terms of quality. It's the only game in the league Pep loses his cool.
I mean Liverpool looked pretty good against arsenal
Spot on in the premier league history man u was winning everything and we stopped them 3 times won cups finals against them and lost UCL mad Rivalry FERGIE VS WENGER BOX 🎁 OFFICE
ARSENAL VS MAN.UTD
The fact that Flex put Liverpool and Paul put United tells you that should be first.
Does anyone what happened to hainsey? Just curious
He's working for/with the BBC on Radio 5 Live
he's transitioning
Spot on but I'd even say the North london. Is above Liverpool utd as well. Easily tbf😅
Mora Maych please
Arsenal vs Manchester United
Arsenal vs Spurs
United v Liverpool is the most watch sporting event outside the World Cup. Look it up means so much more than United v Arsenal.
You’re dreaming. Maybe in the late 90s to mid 00s for a while. Not even close now
Lol Man Utd Liverpool is still the most watched around the world.
El Classico is miles clear😭
Spurs hated in london due to their fans in 80/90s. hooligans
Liverpool vs Man Utd
NLD
Arsenal vs Man Utd
And if I had to give another take it would be Arsenal vs Chels with the whole who reps all of London. And when Millwall join the prem it’s nice to see the game between them and West Ham (even when they play chels but that’s a football factor thing)
El Clasico is different to United vs Liverpool because they are constantly competing for titles and there is a history of politics and culture clash.
Outside of those 2 cities, not many care about the Pool vs United. Whereas Arsenal vs United appealed to rest of the country and even international fans more.
??? people defo care more about lfc vs man utd tf you talking about
United v Arsenal was only a rivalry for a few seasons 20 years ago. It's a nothing game now. Liverpool V Utd is the big one, no question.
Completely agreed
Man Utd Arsenal is not a club rivarly like Man Utd Liverpool it's just competitive there's nothing more to it
8 seasons is not a few mate. Also there’s never been a season we’re Man U and Liverpool were competing for the big throphies ever really.
from 98-2005 Arsenal won the league 3 times, were invincible, won the double, won the league at old Trafford, won a fa cup against man united
United won the league 5 times, won the treble, threepeated the league,
Iconic moments like giggs winner in the fa cup against Arsenal, van Nistelrooy penalty miss to keep Arsenal unbeaten, Keane vs viera, Wenger VS SAF
United had the best team in the league while Arsenal had the best player in the league.
@@ManUtdfanshavetinypenisesyou’re crazy if you don’t think the two fanbases hate eachother
1. Liverpool v/s Man United
2. Man United v/s Arsenal
3. Liverpool v/s Man City (purely for the quality of football)
Its clear the biggest rivalry is the battle of the Roses, Leeds United vs Manchester United. Every time they play each other home or away it has never disappointed. Shame Leeds are not as good as they were before but when they do grow it ll definitely become the biggest again.
Historically the biggest NW (Lancashire) rivalry was Everton v Man City.
Man utd v Liverpool, man utd v arsenal ,man utd v Leeds.... man utd v Abu Dhabi
It’s Liverpool Man United
I agree with many of Flex's points.
When my boy Flex says logistically and Chelsea man starts smirking 20 seconds after when he realised flex meant logically. 😂😂😂
Paul the legend
Liverpool - Man Utd
Arsenal - Man Utd
North London Derby
I will never forget selling Torres to Chelsea! He left in January and scored more goals that calendar year for us than he did for them! HILARIOUS!😂😂😂
Man United vs Arsenal for Southerners, Historically Arsenal is biggest Club in London while Man United gets a lot support in the South.
Great history lesson, Lads.
Chelsea vs spurs is a serious hatred for decades
best rivalry is Liverpool vs Utd but my favourite one is recent years is Spurs vs Chelsea
I thought Chelsea Liverpool may be up there seeing as Liverpools chairman blamed Heysel on Chelsea fans
The only people who ever mention this are United fans lmao the Chelsea Liverpool rivalry isn't even a thing but what little of it there is is from the Rafa/Mourinho era, not from comments a chairman made 40 years ago.
Liverpool vs Chelsea is a bigger CL rivalry than PL rivalry
MANCHESTER UTD VS CHELSEA for me was is always biggest derby in Premier League
@@jordandavis3867 Nah they'd definitely rather Arsenal passed them than Liverpool. For them it's "anybody but Liverpool".
@@hsiang7 They've alwayss been jealous of our football. Don't lie to yourself. All it takes is for Arsenal ro win a few titles. Let's see we win the league this year? You'd say slim chance bur what it Arsenal just keep going and City slip up. United fans are not going to be happy AT all.
NLD gets really nasty. it just feels bitter
Chelsea Vs spurs is nasty
Arsenal vs tottenham...
They may not be the best 2 teams when they meet but it's always the most ENTERTAINING!!. Literally all FORM goes out the window and you are always guaranteed goals, red cards, penalties, own goals and drama
Arsenal v Man Utd the biggest rivalry 😂 when one side says the other aren’t then it’s not. Flex speaks the truth and Maych’s wry smile at the result was so telling, at least Harry was happy with being relevant.
Yeah if United fans would prefer for Arsenal to win the league over Liverpool, Arsenal aren't their biggest rivals lol.
@@hsiang7 could just be a dominance thing. I'd rather Liverpool beat City so the league is better but I care about arsenal playing Liverpool, United, Chelsea or spurs more. Ones pragmatism, the others are passion
For me
Arsenal VS Spurs
Man United VS Liverpool
Man United VS Arsenal
Tyne Wear derby used to be the best, now people have forgotten about Sunderland😂
Even arsenal Vs Liverpool, Chelsea Vs Liverpool has more history than the city matches!
I'm a Liverpool fan and can't give CR7 credit as 1 of the best in football history because he played for United
Chelsea pretending they have Rivalries CMON MAN
Arsenal Man U
Pool vs Man U n NLD can can be two or three
United fans dont even consider Arsenal their biggest rival...so how is that that biggest rivarly? Makes no sense
Has Arsenal and Tottenham or Tottenham and Chelsea
16:30 cutting Harry before he goes on an explitive filled rant about how much he hates spurs fans 🤣🤣🤣
They should called the skinny jeans rivalry 😆 🤣
Liverpool vs Manchester United hands down!!!
Think lfc v city is highest quality rivalry there has been in the epl. But nowhere near the biggest I think
I celebrate if Kane scores world cup winner. If cry. It's the fucking world cup!
No question asked NDL derby is the biggest of them all
Liverpool vs United is the biggest...facts
Is her name actually Shebahn? Surely not lmao
No one likes Tottenham. Weird for Maych to say who cares as the biggest Liverpool fan I know hates spurs more than any club and ive never got it
It's not a rivalry without man united...
toon vs sunderland ????????
Pool Chelsea was fierce tbf
Experts?
The Liverpool fan and Man United fan are insufferable
Soon Manchester City vs Liverpool will be up there after the shenanigans that happened this past weekend. No longer a respectable or friendly rivalry.
What happened?
The second city derby is the biggest. Birmingham City are just too shit to be a PL team.
